I love this series because I know you aren't decluttering to fill the drawers back again, and you don't declutter just to declutter. Will you maybe film organizing the sentimental makeup drawer?
So satisfying to see all the drawer condensing you’re managing to do. This also reminds me that I need to smell my lipsticks again because I wore a Maybelline one today that smelled like play dough 🥴
I think Maybelline lipsticks come that way though. They’ve always had a play dough / dried clay scent to me, even when brand new. The only ones that smelled nice were their coffee collection lipsticks.
@@feonaarabellaparaiso1786 thanks for the input! I have one I remember buying about a year ago and it smells slightly less gross than this older one, but I can’t remember when I bought it.
What do you recommend for somebody with a shit sense of smell? I suspect I've been slowly losing my sense of smell over the last 4-5 years, so trying to smell my lipsticks might not go so well for me
@@xxibjrosek You can check the batch code to see how old it is, just google cosmetic checker. If the texture of the bullet changes that’s a good indicator as well.
I can't explain, but I'm addicted to the noise lipsticks containers make when they rub and click each others lol it's ASMR to my ears, sometimes I rumble through my lipsticks just for a relaxation purpose 🤣 more seriously I also should consider decluttering my collection, last one I made was years ago
It's been such a journey with your collection and organisation and I'm always so engrossed in the process! Love how it's getting condensed and organised. It inspires me to also treat my makeup as consumable products and not treasures. Well, unless they are treasures, but those are few and far in between.
Welp, guess who's going to be smelling all their lip products and decluttering tomorrow. ✋🏾 ✋🏾✋🏾 These videos always make me examine my collection and I know it's that time again.
can you keep the mac packaging but get rid of the lipstick inside? cause like that you can keep them forever without risking the peoduct getting moldy or anything😋
There’s actually some people that do that, so that they can put their own homemade lipstick in special packaging. Have to do it when the homemade lipstick is frozen though, otherwise it gets all smushed.
This declutter was NOT what i expected at all! I was so excited the whole way, on the edge of my seat. I kept asking myself, "she's getting rid of ANOTHER one?!!" 🤩
Hailey, as usual, you are doing super well, but I am going to challenge you to get it down to ONE lipstick drawer by 2023. I think the fairness you showed in your mini lipstick series, and the insight in this video shows that you know what your faves are with lipstick, and you can get a (not small) usable collection with room to grow and go!
Lime Crime has a lip line that's like a glossy, full pigment gloss and they're all those brown-y, yellow toned nudes. The formula is gorgeous, too. I know you're not looking to buy but if you're really jonesing for that kind of color in a comfy formula, that's a good place to look.
Oh hell yeah, that's what I was waiting for! I bought way too many lip products this year to cope with stress and boredom, I needed this declutter as a reminder to not waste money on more lipsticks! :)
I always feel a bit conflicted when people with large collections say they will try and pan something they don't particularly love. While you pan the lip products that you feel meh about, the ones that you like might go bad. Is it really worth it? I would probably just try to rotate them as much as possible to get some use out of all of them. To each their own though, I also get wanting to just use up an okay product to then not have it in the collection anymore.
I have 110 lip products right now... I was at 145... some expired some got used up some got gifted to my aunt as they were new... I want to use them up but also want to get to enjoy them so I been bringing out 20 or more to test and play around with and then switch em out every couple of months I have found I have actually started reaching for ones I didn't particularly like before doing the rotation... it's quite fun and really helps with learning what products I really enjoy
Love this series! I have a maybe over the top video idea... as someone who has a small collection is always interesting to watch big collections and wondering how much does this collection cost. It might be too much work but if you could try to calculate how much each of your parts cost (how much worth of lipsticks, paletts, etc.), how much was it in pr, how much did you buy. Greetings from Croatia
That is a very time consuming process if you want to go buy original asking price of items... I've done this and ohhh my I wish I hadn't.... and my collection is small .... is especially difficult when it's a product that's no longer available in stores be it limited edition or simply discontinued.... That process has definitely made me more aware of what comes in and out tho
I started putting a sticker with the date received on all my makeup a couple of years ago. Just helps me know how old stuff is, and I am also going thru my collection right now too because I have a couple things I'd like to buy but I want to declutter first!
When you got to the end of the big drawer, and I saw there were only 60 left. I was thinking, she might just do it, they should all fit in the small drawers. But, girl they fit and there's gaps! So proud of you, hope you did a victory dance to celebrate. 🎉👏👏👏🎊
i dont trust my eyes but the dread shade (that you are dreading to lose, haha i am very funny i know) seems quite similar to maybelline's gone greige by mabelline. i dont have the dread lipstick so i obviously cant compare them directly, but maybe that yould be a helpful route to explore. and i am just so happy for you about all the decuttering progress you are making. i am just here for the clickity-clack and snarky comments and your spirits being lifted by your success is such a joy
Ughh soooo satisfying. Good job on this declutter. My collection is much smaller than yours but I find that I have so many similar shades when I declutter.
Nice collection and declutter Hailey ❤️ The YSL Tatouage Couture are not really drying for a matte formula in my opinion but I don’t have dry skin either: good thing you are trying them ☺️
I really need to do this too. I haven’t really put on a lipstick since 2019 so I don’t even know what I have anymore, plus I really need to get rid of most the mat ones!
Ugh, I decluttered all of my matte lipsticks too. Ever since I went on birth control, my skin became a lot more dry and I cannot stand anything matte on my lips. Last year I also realised I much prefer sheer lipsticks and lipglosses, so that shifted my collection around as well. Say Hailey, have you tried the sheer lipsticks from Fenty? I find them quite nice!
I guess not all preservatives are equal 😆 Because I still have one (or two?) of these Lime Crime unicorn lipsticks that I bought 2012/2013 and they also still smell just fine 🤪 I should try and pan them next year and give them their last year of glory or something...
Bite Beauty lip products go bad so quickly, I stopped buying them. Last year after getting laid off from covid i stopped wearing lippies most of the time in favor of balms and glosses, and when I started to wear my collection again the Bite Beauty lippies were the only ones that had really gone bad. Not even a year and they smelled like gross crayons. Such a waste. Both the Bite Beauty stick and liquid lip formulas in my collection went bad.
I love this series because I know you aren't decluttering to fill the drawers back again, and you don't declutter just to declutter. Will you maybe film organizing the sentimental makeup drawer?
A few people have asked to see it so yup, when i set it up I'll film it :)

You did a fabulous job with all your declutters Hailey, I’m really proud of you. ♥️
Hey Hailey! If any of your bullet lipstick are too short to comfortably grab out of the dividers, stick a cotton ball down there to give them a boost!
