As a student of our politico-legal system, I agree with Robin Padilla that the 1987 Constitution is hopelessly flawed and needs to be put out of its misery. At least more transparent na ang corruption kasi malalaman mong corrupt or incompetent ang namamalakad sa region pag wala man lang kahit anong movement or program. Kahit political dynasty pa yan as long as competent naman, wala na tayo dun.
Like everybody else, I was curious how he made it to the top spot. But I did not care enough to find out why. Last night, while scrolling through UA-cam recommendations I stumbled upon his Toni Talks interview and it was, in a way, an eye opener. It's very easy to fall into the trap of laughing at the idea of him sitting in one of the highest offices in the country. I did. Upon watching his interview however, I realized I was wrong. This man is no joke. He knows what he is talking about. Yes, he does not have the "credentials" or the "education" for the position he is yet to officially receive but whatever he lacks in those areas, he makes up with experience, character and patriotism. Some would argue: "So hindi na pala kailangan ng education and credentials ngayon." No. They are just as important. But that would be the easy part for him once he is in the seat of power. He can simply hire people who can help him with what he lacks and what he does not know. Then, he can make decisions based on their technical insights coupled with his practical experience and understanding of the masses. We have to realize that good leaders don't always come in the "ideal" packaging of long titles, spotless backgrounds, flashy suit and tie, elaborate plans and poetic dramatic speeches. Sometimes they also come as unconventional individuals, soiled and sullied from the lowest and darkest of places.

I was smiling the whole time. I totally agree of what he believes and I adore him for being a MAKABAYAN because he really does. He does not have that "credentials" from "Universities" but all I hear from him is wisdom and knowledge thru experience and history. Even before watching this interview I knew my vote is for him. I didn't want the interview to end, really. What a wise man Robin had become. I was never a fan of him as an actor. The friend aproach the Knights of Colombus 7618 if the Mary Immaculate Parish. It was coirdinated w/ Phil. Jap Poly Clinic (clinic now transfered to another country). It was one successful project by Robin to help the convicts.

We always put our faith to who’s going to be the next leader, without really knowing that there are other people in the equation. I understood it simply as: May idea ka na maganda and the intention is pure, dahil may sistema na kailangan sundin, dadaan siya sa napakaraming tao, mga tao na iba iba ang paniniwala at pinanggalingan. As a student of our politico-legal system, I agree with Robin Padilla that the 1987 Constitution is hopelessly flawed and needs to be put out of its misery. Like everybody else, I was curious how he made it to the top spot. But I did not care enough to find out why. Last night, while scrolling through UA-cam recommendations I stumbled upon his Toni Talks interview and it was, in a way, an eye opener. It's very easy to fall into the trap of laughing at the idea of him sitting in one of the highest offices in the country. I did.
Upon watching his interview however, I realized I was wrong.
This man is no joke. He knows what he is talking about. Yes, he does not have the "credentials" or the "education" for the position he is yet to officially receive but whatever he lacks in those areas, he makes up with experience, character and patriotism.
Some would argue: "So hindi na pala kailangan ng education and credentials ngayon."
No. They are just as important. But that would be the easy part for him once he is in the seat of power. He can simply hire people who can help him with what he lacks and what he does not know. Then, he can make decisions based on their technical insights coupled with his practical experience and understanding of the masses.
We have to realize that good leaders don't always come in the "ideal" packaging of long titles, spotless backgrounds, flashy suit and tie, elaborate plans and poetic dramatic speeches. Sometimes they also come as unconventional individuals, soiled and sullied from the lowest and darkest of places.

I was smiling the whole time. I totally agree of what he believes and I adore him for being a MAKABAYAN because he really does. He does not have that "credentials" from "Universities" but all I hear from him is wisdom and knowledge thru experience and history. Even before watching this interview I knew my vote is for him. He stands on the right track of people and I know his best interest is for the country. Even before the closure of ABS CBN I saw his post on IG addressing issues about the management and the rights of the employees. That is the reason I was not surprised about ABS CBN. I didn't want the interview to end, really. What a wise man Robin had become. I was never a fan of him as an actor. But he gives me this feeling of how good of a human being he's become over the years through the hardships and trials he faced. He's very articulate at ang daling intindihin nung mga sinasabi nya. Ang aking mother in law ay showbiz writer at kilala sya ni Robin Padilla at Manny Pacquiao. Nung nagkasakit ang mother in law ko, pareho namin silang nilapitan. Si Robin lang ang tumulong... in fact the moment nalaman nya yung nangyari sa mother in law ko that same night dumating ang kanyang secretary sa ospital para iabot yung kanyang tulong. Si Manny, kala ko may puso sa mga nangangailangan, kala ko pinamumuhay nya ang kanyang faith pero nabigo lang aq. What I love about Sir Robin is on how he explained the federalism and parliamentary. Hindi lang siya basta artista na kuda ng kuda kundi artistang may alam o may mga ideas hinggil sa isang issue.
