5:55 It has to be extremely demoralizing to see Chief, one of the most legendary heroes in human history get defeated in battle while he tried to save the Infinity. Also, the detail of when he gently cradles the dead soldier 13:02 and flies gently past them is so comforting to me. It's like Chief wanting to tell them that he's sorry that they died the way the way they did but he would absolutely keep fighting to avenge all that were lost.
2:02:38 I always thought this was the funniest thing, the weapon is explaining how the map HUD works, but the pilot can't see the HUD inside Chief's helmet, so he has no idea what she's talking about.
Blindly? No. They follow him because he never loses. Because of the rewards they receive from the hundreds of raids that Atriox sends them on. Atriox also doesn't needlessly send his troops on suicide missions. Not being racist is probably another big factor of why they follow him unlike how the prophets were.
@NickTemperistic You bring up a fair point. I mean it seems like self-determination is Atriox's whole thing. I wonder how he feels about the idea of people bowing to his will as opposed to following their own? Maybe it's different in the comics, but I was always under the impression that Atriox was a sort of anti-Covenant anarchist?
@@lukeofender2071 The whole point of creating his own thing was because he was tired of seeing his own kind used for beliefs not their own. With Atriox it's basically just a 9-5 job. You can believe whatever you want and do whatever you want on your free time but when it's time to work you better be working. Within the covenant holy city each species has their own area to live and it pretty much was segregation. With the hand of atriox though you won't find a grunt only with grunts and so on and so forth. I'm not gonna call them one big happy family but if they work together on behalf of their leader they know what pay day is gonna look like.

I nicknamed the Weapon “Cory” as I think it’s cute and fitting. Also Jen Taylor (Cortana) is an amazing VA. She also voiced Princess Peach and Toad. She is the person who gave Toad his iconic screechy voice.
Let's goo I absolutely love Halo Infinite it's not my favorite but it's definitely a return to form in my eyes and I'm excited for the future also I'm so excited for the next episodes
The game was released unfinished and took years to receive significant content and fixes. Examples of issues at launch: BTB was unavailable for 3-4 months. There was no option to select missions. Co-op wasn’t playable. Severe FPS drops (especially on PC). Desync issues persisted for 2 years before being fixed.
@@ToxicBalloon360at launch sure the hate was warranted, it’s got a lot of content now and is still being updated and yet people are mostly still angry it wasn’t there at launch. Ya it was sparse but it’s beating a dead horse at this point to hate on the game it was 2 years ago now.
When Atriox wiped the floor with Red Team, the meeting between Chief and Atriox was highly anticipated only for him to get whooped just as bad 😭 Also when you finish Infinite, if you have the time check out the Halo: The Rubicon Protocol novel. It details events taking place on the Halo before Chief is rescued
To be fair he caught chief completely off guard, not to mention brutes are just naturally stronger than spartan, so hand to hand, there isn't much chance for john halo to beat him
Atriox winning was all but expected given he’s pretty much the Spartan equivalent of a Jiralhanae (which are stronger than Spartans to begin with). The reality is that Master Chief fans simply couldn’t stand to see him lose and got all salty about it.
Alright pals, you know the drill! Please be mindful of discussing Halo lore which Meg has yet to encounter (such as the rest of the books or the TV show), thank you!
"Are they on drugs?" small little detail but yes, you were correct with that assessment. The Brute Beserkers under the employ of the Banished are hopped up on a bunch of drugs and sent into battle.
I love all the acting done solely with Chief's body language in this game. The writing and performances in regards to Chief is my favorite in the series.
I have loved halo my entire life. I'm 24 so it has quite literally ALWAYS been a part of my life. I think this game has one of the BEST soundtracks in the entire franchise. Campaign and multiplayer soundtracks both are the most hype soundtracks ever
So happy to see you playing this! My boi Dustin Echoes was mentioned! Yeah I love The Weapon’s personality, she’s adorable! Just downloaded twitch just to follow your halo journey!
A detail I love is when Chief jumps from the Pelican to the warship when he encounters the bodies of soldiers he is very slow and tender about how he handles them. Shows for all the badass he is which tends to be the focus much of the time, he’s still human with an abiding respect for the fallen. It’s really beautiful to see, makes him feel grounded in an important way.
didn't think you'd play infinite so soon but happy for it, infinite is one of my favourites, can't wait to see how you react to the rest of the game. one fact I'm sure you've noticed is the cutscenes show the weapon you have equipped which is a nice touch. I also love the banished designs (as does most people), probably the best so far.
I liked this game overall but I never got used to the way you switch grenades. In the heat of battle I couldn’t get to the ones I wanted fast enough for some reason. I’d have preferred a single button to cycle through them.
The relationship between Atriox and Escharum was closer to that of Nephew(Atriox) and Uncle(Escharum). Escharum may be gay for someone else though, his interactions with Jega certainly convey a close relationship based off respect and trust.
I unfortunately got so bored of the gameplay loop that I dropped the title, is the story worth going back and playing through? I feel like I never saw people talking highly of it so I never bothered and just went back to replaying the MCC when I wanted some Halo action.
YEYA REALLY HAPPY TO FINALLY SEE YOU PLAY INFINITE! One of my personal favourites in the series, a big reason being that I like how much more of a personal and character focused story it is which is what I really liked about Halo 2 and 4 as well. The amount of personality in this game and the occasional humor especially reminds me Halo 2 and I love it so much. I think this game does good stuff with Master Chief as character and I really love the new main characters with the new AI and the pilot, and I'm just saying but they are such an endearing best friend trio throughout this game. The new AI is such a sweatie and I love how cheerful they are, although they haven't fully discovered their own identity yet and I always felt weird calling them "weapon" but I've always really like Joy for them, short for Joyeuse so named after a sword like Cortana while still having their own name because they are very different from her and Joy fits their personality. New pilot friend is also a sweetie and is very funny. Chief may have lost Cortana, but at least he now has some cool new friends. Something I need to mention about that moment where Chief finds Joy, is that I really love Chief not wanting to delete them and going on a new mission to stop the Banished with them seems like an excuse to keep them around. Despite technically being made from Cortana, it gives Joy the opportunity to become their own person and discover who they want to be and what they want which is really sweet, because the idea of being made for a purpose and being disposable outside of that purpose is really messed up. Being given freedom and autonomy, the ability to CHOOSE is the kindest thing. I also really love the gameplay for this game, the gunplay is good and I think the grapple hook is one of the coolest things they've added to the gameplay of Halo in a long time. It adds so much more variety to the encounters, with the new movement options, being able bring weapons to you, and even being able to hijack vehicles with it. Also it's good to have the brutes back as enemies because they haven't been a thing in fps Halo since the last Bungie game Reach, and they haven't gone berserk like that since Halo 3. These are probably the most dangerous brutes since Halo 2. But yeah I'm really happy to see you enjoying this one so far, because Infinite is a personal favorite of mine but it's one that an unfortunate amount of people like to create disingenuous arguments about.
Interesting but sad detail his the pilot's pistol had one bullet left. Was saving it for a reason.
Oh I just got that. 😭

It still makes me sad seeing how gentle Chief is with the dead marines in the cutscene of the first level. Big guy needs a hug.
3:57 we couldn’t since there was no Chief on the menu originally - on release the background was just a shot of the ring’s surface

Blindly? No. They follow him because he never loses. Because of the rewards they receive from the hundreds of raids that Atriox sends them on.
