I watch all your videos. You really keep it real with not having to buy expensive tools to create nice work. I also appreciate your perspective! You are wonderful
Thx for your tour, the diagonally placed table saw is a brilliant idea! I'm about to move homes and have a bigger shop, or at least a more efficient space, maybe this would solve a problem I don't know if it 'd occur. The one thing I don't get, is that you seem to have this workshop for a good while now and still you maintain the ramp. Now 'm a fair bit younger, and i'd probably would've ripped out the ramp right away, just because it takes up so much space. It would solve a lot of problems , mainly useable wall space for easy to reach and frequently used tools, and at the same time make your shop safer because there is more room. Just a brain fart. Thx again!
Very nice shop. It really gives the feel of a man that has grown his hobby over the course of years. I also have a radial arm saw like yours, have you thought of adding a small shop vac to collect the dust from your RAS or table saw? It does help a lot, especially once you put in one of the 5-gallon bucket dust collector cyclone things so your shop vac doesn't get it's filter clogged up quickly.
My table saw came plumbed for dust collection, just the right size for working with a small shop-vac (1-1/2” hose). So, I have it connected. Since it is co-located with my radial arm saw, I’ve been thinking of connecting both. The only real reason I haven’t is that I need to rig up some sort of diverter switch, so that the vacuum is only going to one at a time. One day soon.
