This team can be a top team if they had the time to get as drilled as the others but they dont. They also lack fire power. Only thing in their favour is the fact they have good team synergy. Even tho they struggled to put demon1 back in cause of role issues, they gotta. U cant get both outstrated and outaimed or theres no hope. They dont have time to be drilled so they have to outaim the other teams and just copy some strats from other reigions or from the other teams
Even if u got fns it's over there's new metas and knows a lot of the game aiming wise and everybody pretty much evolving if u see the powerhouse of the team like sen kru and lev has great shooters. 100t is done for
I personally feel like FNS's position as a coach would be better suited. He has the caliber to cook up some interesting strats and set plays. But his inability to frag is definitely costing him these games. It's sad to see as an old Optic fan, but that's the reality with age unfortunately. I am hoping for the best either way.

We saw how things went with the old NRG (without an actual igl), despite having previous world champions. The only thing that's viable rn, is for FNS to step his game up (even to a level of -10 instead of -25). Let's see what happens.

if anything, victor will be a better raze than s0m. For now I would suggest to get rid of crashies (bro has no impact), put FNS on initiator, and then s0m on sentinel. ethan can flex and demon1 can either go smokes or jett type duelist depending on the comp
Not even that, Demon1 can perform far better on Neon over Raze and they can have him use Neon on Maps like Lotus, Sunset, Abyss, and even Haven once he learns how to play her that is

Deadlock in itself could’ve been good on both attack and defence for stopping floods/site hits but I don’t really understand the point of the rest of the comp. The clove makes no sense at all when viper should just be better as a secondary controller, raze would be better as a secondary duelist to use nade with seize/grav net, and breach would’ve been better as a secondary initiator to combo with the yoru teleporting in. The fact they had meddle, seize, and gravnet and had no damaging utility just seemed like such a waste imo. Obviously chet and FNS have a much better understanding of the game than any of us but the comp is just really gimmicky and with a few changes they could’ve made an actually viable permanent comp imo

This is what I keep on saying. You can't win without a crazy fragger in NA. Teamwork is good and all but you need firepower to make it in NA. Almost all the teams there have good teamwork. You need a difference maker to make things happen

Most games one of them is top fragging with the other two not far behind. As much as I don't like G2 as a team, they are cooking. I don't think SEN are as safe as you make them out to be. They absolutely need to win against G2. If Loud and EG win all their remaining games, and Kru wins against NRG and C9, but loses to G2. And G2 wins against Sen. Then the Standings will be such that Sen will be fighting for 6th - 7th spot (Lev, Kru, G2 & EG will be at 7 wins, and C9 Sen & Loud at 6 wins) and it will come down to map differential again. Hoping they win against G2 !
SEN is not in a dire situation, as you say, because even if they lose to G2 and have a 6 win record, they will have the better map differential record out of all the other 6 win teams, so they don't really need the G2 win, but it's always better to have more championship points if they lose in the single elimination in the playoffs to secure their chances of going to champs.

For me with Nrg theres just alot of things to think about Your two newest players just came off a hiatus of almost a year. Your going up against arguably the best teams in your region at the moment and in my opinion honestly exceeding expectations (especially against sen on sunset) yet ultimately being outplayed. I was honestly expecting for them to possibly get rolled every game because of their circumstances. But they still have yet (for the most part) to give out a whole free game and i find myself thinking about that the most.

NRG was on top for most teams and they did not make even 1 internationals, sen won an international, lev, 100t, g2, lou at least made masters but NRG are in the same tier as Fur, mibr.
i never really understood this NRG roster. the roles don’t make sense in the current meta. with their roles matching the meta, they have no IGL. with an IGL and matching meta, they don’t have the strongest combination players in the roster. i feel like they need to go back to the drawing board with this roster

I do think FNS’ stock is at a new low with his individual performances the past few games, but imo the true fraud watch is Chet. Wtf was that haven comp? You had all the personnel to run the neon, breach, gekko/sova, kj, omen comp that’s been so strong this meta and you pull a random yoru deadlock? You have a strong yoru player in Ethan and yet you put him on sage on bind? AND you put in an op in his hands? Why not put him on yoru and let him take aggressive angles and give him the ability to tp out? FNS def should be shooting back more but Chet definitely is giving him a terrible hand to work with.

Benching demon1 over crashes was stupid. There is no way you thought this low fire power team would be good even with better calling. They should have just changed back demon1 roles to his old roles or use him like how prx uses something. Demon1 is the only good aimer in nrg, slump or not you have to try and play him
This is gonna sound like I’m hating on the team but watching SEN games is hard on stream is always hard because it’s always the same whether they do well or have a couple poor rounds cuz the casters pretty much say the same things lol. I think maybe casters and the broadcast sometimes do need to be a little more objective (but hey it might just be a me thing)

If you know league at all, it reminds me a lot of TSM games in 2013-2015. TSM could be down like 10 kills and casters would still fanboy over them. Like there were series where the other team could go up 3-0 or 4--0, or SEN would be down like six rounds and the second they would win a round, the casters would be like "oh the other team's economy is in shambles" or "SEN already came back". Now this may be actual good analysis and them doing good storytelling since SEN has big fanbase but you cant tell me at the studio them saying that and spurring on fans to drown out the momentum of the enemy team with their cheers is them doing their jobs objectively and without bias. I know its 100% hard to say the cheers affect the mentalities of the enemy team but realistically speaking they prolly do. Yes, you can say that these people are pros so they shouldnt be affected by the fan cheers and you would be right but im mainly talking about the existence pf caster bias here specifically and not the effects of it per se.

I don’t think Chet is the problem, it’s easy to blame the coach when the team is playing bad, but he’s not the one playing. He could be giving the worlds greatest coaching and strats, but they mean nothing if the players aren’t applying them. It’s hard to judge a Coach because you don’t really know what’s going on behind the scenes, but Chet has history so I don’t think he is the problem. I think you give them an entire offseason and they would easily be back to a top 2/3 Americas team. With a new duelist and recon initi of course.

FNS is outdated and out of the loop now, he hasn't played pro in a long time and has barely ever had good performances in most of his matches. Every top team has IGLs who are shooters and even a 4v5 with someone outside of the game seeing everyone's POV to igl would still lose 80% of the time

SEN will be saving a Neon comp till Playoffs or maybe even Champs. Dont give people time to learn it and make them learn it on the fly.
If nrg swapped crashies w demon1, maybe it might work. The firepower/playmaking and follow ups arent really there. With the eg duo, it might wokr out

I don't think SEN are as safe as you make them out to be. They absolutely need to win against G2. If Loud and EG win all their remaining games, and Kru wins against NRG and C9, but loses to G2. And G2 wins against Sen. Then the Standings will be such that Sen will be fighting for 6th - 7th spot (Lev, Kru, G2 & EG will be at 7 wins, and C9 Sen & Loud at 6 wins) and it will come down to map differential again. Hoping they win against G2 !

SEN is not in a dire situation, as you say, because even if they lose to G2 and have a 6 win record, they will have the better map differential record out of all the other 6 win teams, so they don't really need the G2 win, but it's always better to have more championship points if they lose in the single elimination in the playoffs to secure their chances of going to champs.

Your two newest players just came off a hiatus of almost a year. Your going up against arguably the best teams in your region at the moment and in my opinion honestly exceeding expectations (especially against sen on sunset) yet ultimately being outplayed. I was honestly expecting for them to possibly get rolled every game because of their circumstances. But they still have yet (for the most part) to give out a whole free game and i find myself thinking about that the most.

You have a duelist in Demon1, Ethan initiator, Marved on smokes, FNS on sentinel, and S0m is flex. Goated lineup
Honestly bench vic, get demon1 in on duelist, put crashies on something else, put Ethan on initiator, put som on duelist to create space for demon1, tell fns to wake up, and they might be able to save this.

You had all the personnel to run the neon, breach, gekko/sova, kj, omen comp that’s been so strong this meta and you pull a random yoru deadlock? You have a strong yoru player in Ethan and yet you put him on sage on bind? AND you put in an op in his hands? Why not put him on yoru and let him take aggressive angles and give him the ability to tp out?
FNS def should be shooting back more but Chet definitely is giving him a terrible hand to work with.
they need to keep fns and replace either ethan or crashies with demon1. they dont have a good primary duelist and they have two players that fill the same role.
Benching demon1 over crashes was stupid. There is no way you thought this low fire power team would be good even with better calling. They should have just changed back demon1 roles to his old roles or use him like how prx uses something. Demon1 is the only good aimer in nrg, slump or not you have to try and play him
This is gonna sound like I’m hating on the team but watching SEN games is hard on stream is always hard because it’s always the same whether they do well or have a couple poor rounds cuz the casters pretty much say the same things lol. I think maybe casters and the broadcast sometimes do need to be a little more objective (but hey it might just be a me thing)

@@IanStrain23328 mind you im not really a fan of any particular team but when i watch Americas casters cast SEN games I get a weird feeling because the balance in the casting seems biased. If you know league at all, it reminds me a lot of TSM games in 2013-2015. TSM could be down like 10 kills and casters would still fanboy over them. Like there were series where the other team could go up 3-0 or 4--0, or SEN would be down like six rounds and the second they would win a round, the casters would be like "oh the other team's economy is in shambles" or "SEN already came back". Now this may be actual good analysis and them doing good storytelling since SEN has big fanbase but you cant tell me at the studio them saying that and spurring on fans to drown out the momentum of the enemy team with their cheers is them doing their jobs objectively and without bias. I know its 100% hard to say the cheers affect the mentalities of the enemy team but realistically speaking they prolly do. Yes, you can say that these people are pros so they shouldnt be affected by the fan cheers and you would be right but im mainly talking about the existence pf caster bias here specifically and not the effects of it per se.

I always think it is important for storytelling and fan engagement for brodcasts and casters to rely on these popular teams but the scale shouldnt be like 90/10 you know. I forget which series but in a recent one during like half time and pauses the brodcast would film the SEN players from the front and the big LED screen with their name and agents but for the enemy it was mostly side and back profile and no LED screen so for first time watchers itd be like "Who is that?" Seems small I know but yeah kinda smelled a bit of bias there too.
I've seen the new script guys: NRG won't qualify but we'll see SEN vs BLG and BLG will do the same to SEN eliminating them from the playoffs

I don’t think Chet is the problem, it’s easy to blame the coach when the team is playing bad, but he’s not the one playing. He could be giving the worlds greatest coaching and strats, but they mean nothing if the players aren’t applying them. It’s hard to judge a Coach because you don’t really know what’s going on behind the scenes, but Chet has history so I don’t think he is the problem. I think you give them an entire offseason and they would easily be back to a top 2/3 Americas team. With a new duelist and recon initi of course.
