Lol I love how you ended the video keeping us hanging to wait for the next video. All you were missing was some dramatic music and the infamous “to be continued” message lol.
@mesterak Yeah I needed to add that really. Won't have to wait too long, I already recorded most of 'All you need to know about HDMI....' I learned quite a lot myself in the process and if I am right (let's see) the cause of the fault is really interesting and rather unexpected. Or it could turn out to be a bit mundane. We will see 😉
Good one Richard, lots of us would want to know for once, the electronics behind hdmi. Would be great to learn it from your electronics repair. Can't wait for the next video.
I think that laptop needs a good drive through the car wash. Then, a rust removal bath. It is pretty well dated, so I guess that dust accumulates over the years. Great content. Thank you!
Judging by the amount of rust just on the VGA connector and the general dustiness of the laptop I reckon an ultasonic bath and lashings of contact cleaner may give some result. Maybe also check the fuse on the HDMI port under the kapton tape.
Sir need recently I replace my laptop display but it suddenly fell downward while using so I open display cover while power is on then I saw video adopter plastic also not glued so I put that plastic it right position and use tape but I don't touch or try to pull out video adopter connector but my laptop not booting up it fan and mouse work fine but it's display doesn't show up does that motherboard damage
Looking forward to the next video 😀👍 Quick query - would it be fair to expect a laptop to draw a little trickle of current prior to it taking an interest in the press of the power button?
Let's pray everyone it's just dry join on hdmi, otherwise we gonna get the drawings and calculations on the wrong components for a vid chat and no fix , But I'm overwhelming with excitement 😬

10mA
@@cristipetcu9870 Yes - but before I effectively reset the SIO it was drawing zero - or at least less than 10mA
