If they are complaining they are not a true die hard fan! Janet always switches her approach her style & how she performs. If they can’t see she’s doing simplicity. It’s 2024 she’s had a long career so it’s her the stage dancers lighting the band that it! 👌🏾💯❤️performance art at its finest!
First of all, this woman is beyond a legend and I literally lose it when I see videos of her performing these days. Oh how I wish I could see her tour! She’s so clearly having the best time. Feeling so thankful for and sorted out in her career, life, motherhood. She really looks like she’s up there cause she wants to be. In regards to the minimal stage design - i think Janet is a true philosopher and performer, and she is trying to do something specific here with this basic set design. First she’s saying plainly - I’m the reason you’re here! Enjoy me and my dancers, my band, we are what you really want to see, aren’t we? She’s reminding us why we go to see concerts, or at least why we used to - to see a performer perform. Yes, elaborate stage shows and set experiences are nowadays a seemingly inextricable part of a modern large venue performance, and for many people these days it seems to be what they think is an integral part to their enjoyment. But I think miss Janet is trying to remind us all that there is more to a good performance - or an exciting experience in general - than what the artifice provides. And I guarantee no one in the building that night felt otherwise! In the age of Aquarius we’re sure to see this divide only increase - those who want to hold to the pared down human experience we have previously known and many of us treasure and are becoming hungrier and nostalgic for, and those who want an experience less human and more artificial, more fantastic, more virtual. This stage design (and the set) feel like a well matched nostalgia and one that I know she knows her fans are gripping into. Reality comes in many fashions, and I feel that our futurist miss Jackson is sending a message that she’s not rushing into the future anymore. - ALSO choreo is ON POINT!!! Loving the routines!!!
J.J - is a super star, but like all of us , she is getting older, and she is still doing the thang….life changes all of us. We all need to appreciate the energy it takes to work this hard after a certain age and time in our life.😊

more than 4 decades as a successful solo artist. a no non-sense performance and production are just aptly. artists just like humans mature over the years. to see janet still touring is a gift. she sounds great, she looks great and her live band and dancers are slaying. her movements are less but remained consistently snappy. 👑a queen will always be a queen even without a crown. janet is a legend…that even without the aesthetic stage production, elaborate design, high tech lighting & effects…she is the real deal, the GOAT. 🙌 thank you for sharing this vid with us. am so excited to see janet in our hometown manila on mar13.

I think Janet is keeping the tour/stage sets simple because its keeping the ticket prices at a reasonable cost for fans. The other big tours right now, Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Madonna... the tickets are very expensive. I could be wrong though.

No one can expect Janet to give a show at almost 58 like she did at 35. The body gets tired... and she's been performing her entire life. I do think she's touring for the fans. She can retire at any time but knows her fanbase is crazy.. like Madonna. Madonna has how many dancers on the Celebration tour? A ton. She never had that many on past tours... and even sits down during Vogue (yeah it's part of the performance but we know she's tired). Madonna and Janet are older now and it's just a number but the body can only handle so much. Give Taylor Swift 20 years and she'll be damn tired too!

This is a very good year for us that grew up during the 80s era and fans of both Janet and Madonna, since both are touring for the sake of performing their decades of hits that made them pop music's icon royalty. A much deserved status.

I love Janet so this isn’t meant to be shady but I’m shocked at how cheap this show feels. Janet is an icon. I just saw Madonna’s show this week and it was spectacular. I wonder why Janet didn’t get the funding to put on a more technical show. This seems like it’d be a 90’s set. I mean Janet is the type of artist where she just needs a stage, a spotlight and choreo and can make a great time! Again, just surprised her stage isn’t what I thought an artist of her caliber would have.

The State subsidizes the events on its Calendar - Aloha Festivals. From what I saw on this channel, the stage technical graphics are more superior than the 1990s. Love Janet- just a thought of the size of show. When you look at Madonna who is on a big ass tour right now with a bigger set and dancers etc. But then again maybe Janet just likes the smaller intimate houses.
She’s definitely not broke and can fund a more elaborate stage and hire more dancers. To be honest, I feel like she shouldn’t have toured at all because I think this tears down her image. She needs new management, stylists, and creative directors.
Fyi this is not the show that Janet is touring this Summer. This is still Leg 1 technically. She’s switching up the set list she already said with surprises. Her mic is on and sounds great! There are no comparisons so the comment section needs a reality check.
Exactly and it's the same tour, how many artist change their tour from city to city. If it wasn't the day of social media, you would not be able to even see it or enjoy it unless you had tickets to the show. She was amazing and she said she didn't even feel well. From what I saw on this channel, the stage technical graphics are more superior than the 1990s.
I hope that you are not suggesting that her Qatari fiancee finance her concert tour. Sponsors may be found to support a Peace Concert with the USO band.

Love Janet- just a thought of the size of show. When you look at Madonna who is on a big ass tour right now with a bigger set and dancers etc. But then again maybe Janet just likes the smaller intimate houses.

Not gonna lie I wish she had another 4 female dancers , part of her brand is a big crew of dancers
The production value does look a bit low budget- esp when you consider the cost of 2024 tickets.
She’s definitely not broke and can fund a more elaborate stage and hire more dancers. To be honest, I feel like she shouldn’t have toured at all because I think this tears down her image.
She needs new management, stylists, and creative directors.

Fyi this is not the show that Janet is touring this Summer. This is still Leg 1 technically. She’s switching up the set list she already said with surprises. Her mic is on and sounds great! There are no comparisons so the comment section needs a reality check.

Exactly and it's the same tour, how many artist change their tour from city to city. If it wasn't the day of social media, you would not be able to even see it or enjoy it unless you had tickets to the show. She was amazing and she said she didn't even feel well. Love her and will be seeing her again in July!!!!!
