I will never forget my internship. I worked as a volunteer tax preparer. This was when Obamacare started rolling out. One lady was a waitress. She only made around $16,000 for the year. She owed money because she did not have healthcare. I felt so bad telling her. I couldn't figure out any loopholes to help her. Same year, had two instances where women had their hair done, nice make up, decent clothes. They looked like they worked. Nope. They had multiple kids, and received between 8k and 10k from their tax return. The one had about $1,500 in earned income for the year. Can't recall the other. The system punishes people who try to do the right thing and it rewards people for being pieces of crap

Im disabled, bed ridden, no income since 2016…without medicaid and food stamps i could not survive…because the SSDI approval process is broken. Their goal is to deny you, not give you the benefits you paid into your working life. Ive been denied 3x now.
Id love to here what alternative you suggest. But right now, i need medical and food and the only way to get it is through welfare since SSDI keeps wrongly denying me (and millions of Americans). Oh and the generosity of family, friends and never will NEVER be enough. It doesnt pay bills or even give me the bare necessities to survive more than a day or two. NO CHARITY has ever helped me either…they dont help the disabled financially. Everyone assumes you are on SSDI when you are too sick to work when in reality, up to 60% are not and constantly getting denied with a process that takes months to years in between each denial.

Some economists have projected that both the U.S. and parts of Europe could slip into a recession for a portion of 2023. A global recession, defined as a contraction in annual global per capita income, is more rare because China and emerging markets often grow faster than more developed economies. Essentially the world economy is considered to be in recession if economic growth falls behind population growth.

You nailed it! Years ago when I was nine years old during the 60's there was a recession and my Father lost his business. Our life was drastically changed. We moved from our beautiful house to a town house complex. My Father had to work two jobs. There were times we didn't have much food in the house. One day at school a friend of mine told me about food stamps. I went home and told my parents we needed to sign up for food stamps. I will never forget what my Father said "Erin we are not the kind of people that go to the government for help. We will figure this out on our own". Well, my Father did figure it out on his own and life turned out great! My Father taught me a lot in that comment. Believe in yourself, work hard, pray everyday , life will get better.

America is currently plagued by the hydra-headed evil duo of inflation and recession. The worst part about this recession is that consumers are racking up credit card debt. In April alone, credit card debt went up 20% while rates have doubled in a year. Inflation is so high that consumers are literally taking debt for basic life necessities. Collapse has indeed begun.. Since i came to this country (2010) neither my parents or myself had qualified for any government help. Because of the martial status.
My husband and I struggled when we had our son (during covid time) I basically didn’t qualified for any help due to my husband’s income. Everyone around me kept telling me to apply for this and apply for that. But it didn’t feel right because i would have to lie and say that im single. And then its hard to work becase daycare charges almost $400 per week, which would be more than half my income.

If you bring certain religions in that do not believe in birth control, well, it just gets worse. The kids also grow up knowing no responsibility. Just mom sittin on the couch all day eating. Everything Pat said is 100% spot-on. They also punish those who are trying t better themselves by getting a degree or attending any institute of higher learning. Same with those without children that do want help finding a job... Punish. If you try, we punish you. If you put no effort into life at all, we reward you. (Countless people have come along claiming to know, but all they have is faith; faith in what some other person told them, ad infinitum, mind you.)
Among these people some have said:
“Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in *good deeds*, and to be generous and willing to share.” - Paul
“Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God” - Jesus
“Woe to the rich…” - Jesus
“Well, you need to hear about money, because you ain't gonna have no love and joy and peace until you get some money!” -Creflo Dollar
Who can say for certain who is right? None. All we can have is faith. WARNING: Faith can be very powerful. It can dictate every single choice we make. I’m confident you can look around and easily recognize where many have misplaced their faith, don’t be so arrogant to think that you are not susceptible to the same.
      4) Warned ourselves and future generations that we are the only species(that we know of) that is susceptible to self-deception. It’s easy to recognize in others, but not as easy to recognize In ourselves until it’s too late and the lie has already done it’s damage.

I know all about welfare. I was even chewed out for being on it. I, myself, was never proud of being on it. I hate begging for money and for the most part I never did. Nothing feels more shameful as a man than not feeling you can stand on your own 2 feet. I still remember applying for fast food jobs (even though I had plumbing, carpentry, painting experience) and still was not getting hired. Putting in resume after resume and no call backs. You feel defeated and meanwhile you have to be on welfare because you have kids and then you look at your kids and tell yourself "I failed You...I failed myself." while all that is happening you have family and neighbors calling you a bum and that you don't deserve your kids. To add salt on the already wide open wound you get divorced and have the courts tell you that you deserve prison because you cant even pay child support and the social workers tell me I dont deserve my kids (she told me with a scorn tone to my face). I wanted to kill myself. The only reason why I didn't is because of my kids. I wanted to be there for them in some way, even though I still didn't feel like a man, and I fought hard mentally to make that happen. I heard many stories over the years of coworkers killing themselves over vindictive exes, unfair family court rulings and child visitations, but you just dont think it was gonna happen to you. Thats why many men are redpilled and rightfully so because the system is not in favor of men.
I still remember as a single father applying for food stamps and they told me in order to qualify I had to be working 40hrs, going to school, and paying for daycare. I asked the lady hypothetically if did all those things and was making 10 an hr how much in foodstamps would I receive, and she said "$40 a month". I told her that makes no sense, but she argued that I would need to work at a better paying job. I told if I had a better paying job I wouldn't need foodstamps. Its all a scam for men because we have to pay while all this incentivizes women for being single.

In my homeland, approximately half of the population relies on various forms of financial assistance, which amounts to supporting 30 million individuals with the contributions of 7.4 million taxpayers.
What exacerbates this situation is the fact that if you're among the highest earners, you're subject to nearly a 50% tax rate, and even middle-income earners face tax rates in the range of 30% to 40%.
What truly infuriates me is that despite these high tax burdens, the quality of government-provided services is abysmal. Public schools are inadequate, government hospitals leave much to be desired, and you're often forced to rely on private security services instead of the police.
In essence, we're compelled to pay substantial taxes, ranging from 30% to 50%, to fund what seems like the government's tool for garnering votes, the social welfare system. And on top of that, we still have to dig into our pockets for private education, private healthcare, and private security.

My family and I would be considered in the top 2-4% of America but even I know the struggle to get a good paying job is real. There’s a reason our country is divided and it’s mainly economic. Everyone is pissed off because the only jobs available to them are dead-end jobs with no hope of progress or being above water when it comes to finances. This whole idea of hustle your way out is the only way but it’s not possible for the majority. There are some real structural issues such as real estate costs, healthcare costs, and college costs that just creates a society of indentured servants while the rich grow rapidly richer with outsized returns on capital investments. It’s no wonder some take the easy way out by taking welfare.

That’s not possible. 85% of what I had went to rent and child care. 5th year senior in college I dropped out. Why? Because no way to pay for books, lab fees, parking pass, and child care. Child care alone was an extra $600 a month and that was through a church sponsored facility near the university. I became very disillusioned years ago. But on the bright side I have an awesome son that has grown into the best young man.

Most of the adult job training are scams. The majority in low income neighborhoods only provide training for a career in security, housekeeping and other jobs that can't support a family. They could have put that money into providing vocational skills like electrical - carpentry - construction and earn over $130k a year in OT after four years in the union but they like dept slaves

Also, a society requires many jobs to function. Many jobs are simply not going to pay very much. A janitor in a hospital is doing a necessary job (my dad worked as a janitor in a hospital), but he's never going to earn what a doctor or hospital administrator earns.
Therefore, people have varying buying power.

Those people get paid more than PSW workers and RPN. Personal support workers and practicing medical nurses make less than these individuals responsible for handing out the subsidies. If we had AI distribute it would save our county millions of dollars every year just on these wasted salaries.

This might be outdated, but in Michigan in 2012. A household of a family of 3 needs to earn under 45k to receive benefits. Even though the average beneficiary receives over 50k of benefits. So for two kids the government is spending 100k on that family. Ofcourse there not actually receiving that money. The majority of that money is spent on the bureaucracy. Its crazy to think that if you just gave them half of the money being spent on them they wouldn't even qualify for the "benefits " there receiving. 🤔

Great work Pat! I have been talking about this subject for many years now, but had no idea that these programs were so out of control. It's a real eye opener and needs to be addressed. This has been one of my concerns having to do with the influx of the illegals who are crossing our border as we speak. It seems as though none of them have a job, or even have the will to work to pay their own way in our society. What we have now is millions more people added to the welfare system, that is already broken. I did a little math on the money being spent per day in NY city, and it added up to close to a billion dollars a month. That is just one place and I can't imagine how much more it is in other states. I honestly believe that if the American people knew how much our government was giving away to this mess, they would be outraged. We can't sustain this much longer, and I don't think we have leaders that will do anything about it.

I've been trying to get disability for over a year and they drag their feet so bad, I'm now financially ruined. If it wasn't for my family, I'd be homeless. I worked 25 years at the same job before becoming disabled. I feel like I'm being treated like I'm some kind of piece of shit. For 30 years, my taxes went to able bodied people getting free shit. Now that I legitimately need help because of a lot of medical issues including cancer, I can't get any help. Even worse than my situation is vets that can't get help. There's no excuse for vets being homeless and not being taken care of. Democrats have put priority on the wrong group of people. As a child growing up on welfare and then in the foster care system. I agree with Pat 100%. However, it took those funds to help me become a MAN. Then it was my decision to be something better than how I grew up. I became a firefighter and then Fire Officer as well as a Fire Investigator etc.
I’ve spoken to many kids coming from broken homes. My mother was murdered. My uncle and cousin in the same building two years later. I was a dropout at 17 but got my GED. A child that never had a safe day in my life. Being abused in foster homes and having no parents. I never met my real father until I was 45 years old.
I’m not as successful as Pat but that’s because Pat wasn’t my Dad. Everything I learned was the same as the story of a son. I did not resort to drugs or crime. My mission was helping people. I recently retired after 30 years as a firefighter. The things I’ve seen 98% of people will never see.
I intend on writing a screenplay of my life. I’ve only scratched the surface here. The point of it is one reason only. To give the new generation something to think about and strive for more. I was only a firefighter, but achieving that goal is a million times harder than any career you will go for. Especially with zero family on the job or friends etc.
I did that!!! They can never take that away from me. I did that to provide for my daughter and family as all of us should no matter how hard it is.
Great video Pat, maybe you could help me with my screenplay. Another thing I learned is this. Having a great ATTITUDE will get you far in life. Being able and willing to do the work, people with influence will be willing to help. I never would have become a firefighter otherwise.
So if you ever read this Pat. My story coukd change the direction of 99% of the population today. Hard work and perseverance pays off. My career was the best. I never made a dime for anyone’s business. I did it because I wanted to help people. That was all the payment I coukd have ever hoped for.

Our government has to STOP giving money to single mothers and get these men in their lives to do the right thing. Somewhere the cord needs to be cut. My friend got thousands of extra dollars and never reported it to the foodstamp office. Here we are wondering how our hard earned tax money is taken from us and giving it to others. I had one child two years after I got married. My child was planned with my then husband. Five years later, the marriage did not work out. My ex didn’t pay his child support. I STILL NEVER GOT WELFARE! I worked, clipped coupons, and managed. There IS an incentive for young women to stay on welfare, food stamps, public housing and energy assistance. None of these programs are bad but they need to function with an incentive to become dependent, especially welfare! Unemployment has an incentive to apply for jobs. True disability benefits shouldn’t be temporary; but are monitored with letters going out that have to be completed by a physician to ensure that the person receiving disability is in fact still completely disabled. So…WHY doesn’t welfare have an incentive to become independent?

Thank you for highlighting the perverse incentives that are designed to destroy families... if not keep them from being created in the first place. I remember my anger when a black woman got on the train and started yelling out about he she has 9 children and we're all paying for them and she had no desire to stop, or get married, because she makes LOTS of money having all those kids. It angered me because my mom was the same way, having kids to get more money. She mooched and milked the system. Our family was a shambled mess. And to see her become dependent on the government was the worst. I resented her for doing that. She wouldn't learn basic skills like how to use a phone book. She was finally forced to find a job, and couldn't even hold that because she didn't have basic skills and wouldn't learn enough to serve other people. Just take-take-take. Think about that....
