Oh my goodness I had no clue the RL Polo Bear sweaters were that rare! I actually just ordered one online bc they’re selling them for a limited time on Pacsun. I’m super excited to get it!!!
I just bought the 1991 Polo Bear sweater you went on a rant about before watching this. So excited and thank you for sharing the history of it!!!
New to your channel via Laura VonV. LOVE the info you provided. Great video!

Loved this!
Love history videos!
Great video, Christina! I keep getting distracted by that fan. Your head is positioned perfectly under it and it looks like you are a whirling halo....lol
Love this video!
Love this idea.
Very interesting. Thanks!
Love this!! I've been having the hardest time trying to figure out what decade these two London Fog coats I found are from, one I believe to be current but the other I think is definitely older because of the shoulder pads..if you're ever wanting to dive down that rabbit hole that would be awesome! Love these types of videos no matter what the brand though, thanks for always teaching us cool stuff Christina!
Stacey Rowe I will definitely do some research on it and see what I can come up with 😊 thank you for the suggestion!
What about RL Polo Jeans Company? I can't find any information on it.
I have a polo bear sweater. I bought it from my work for only about $4 but I only wore it a hand full of times.. it was always too big for me so I’ll definitely be selling it or something. Had it been a small rather then medium I would keep it. Never came across another one since I bought it. They are definitely very rare. Great video btw learned alot
What about the “Rugby” line by Ralph Lauren?
The rugby line was launched in 2004. So technically it is not “vintage” quite yet 😊
Hey I wanted know when Ralph Lauren switched from the silver text to the gold text on the label?
From what I can tell through my research it seems to be a newer change (meaning after the early 2000s). Here is a chart I found of the labels throughout the decades.

Hope that helps 😊
Where did you get the information about the factory in Hong Kong?
My fave is the bear collection of RL 😍
Whats Ralph Lauren design style called?
Maybe we can see a video of your Polo collection in the future🤔
When you mentioned hong Kong do you by any chance when and if they they closed their factories there? I have a blouse with a tag Lauren Jeans Company by Ralph Lauren and cannot find any information whatsoever about ir how old that particular line is...I would really appreciate your feedback and great video
All Polo Ralph Lauren was made in the US or Canada until the mid 80s, that’s when they started manufacturing in Hong Kong. From what I’ve read online about Lauren Jeans Company, it looks like the holding company filed for the trademark to the name in 2003, they were not successful until 2005 and their live trademark says the first use of Lauren Jeans Company in retail was 2004. Hope that helps 😊
Love Love Love
Everything Ralph
Hiya Christina, great job! Even tho I don’t like Ralph Lauren🤣 (for personal reasons). My mother did, so I can’t be too harsh. Thank you for the shout-out, sorry I’ve had full moon madness! I promise I’ll get better! Have a lovely weekend! Jet 🧡🎸🎶⚡️🦇🦇🦇
@@RnR-Rebel sorry, I meant for what personal reasons would one dislike a classic like Ralph Lauren?
The Gentleman - Same reason someone wouldn’t like the styles I wear- not my personal style. While RL may now be considered an “American Classic”, he simply copied classic pieces from years past w/ updated fabrics. In other words, nothing new; I have the original “classics” don’t need his copies. I worked for many years within the fashion industry & can give you a long list of both American & European designers that copy vintage pieces exactly as they sourced from me & had me pick for them. I hope that helped you understand better!
@@RnR-Rebel Really appreciate the answer. "Personal reasons" just sounded like Ralph ran over your cat or something but of course people have different tastes and styles. In my opinion we need Brands like Ralph Lauren, Perry Ellis, Tommy Hilfiger to preserve American culture while still innovating. Would love to hear some of your suggestions for other brands, especially vintage!
Thanks for sharing. The Golf line? Current?
@@ChristinaCharalyn i recently saw it at the store and I wasn't sure lol. Thanks for the video. 🙂
Girl I ONLY wore Polo when I was in college in the 80's!
I have to ask... what lipstick are you wearing? It's very pretty. And you look lovely.
Also, there is recent biography about Ralph Lauren that was on HBO which was interesting. I Love Ralph Lauren.
I will have to check that out! thank you :) it's Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipstick in the shade "crush"
Ugh that new harry is sooooooooo gooddddddddd
I’m a bit embarrassed to say that I’m most grateful for ... the correct pronunciation🤣❤️🤣
What about Lauren Ralph Lauren?
You missed Rugby and denim & supply also. 🧐
I only covered the vintage lines in this video. The rugby line wasn’t launched until 2004 and Denim and Supply wasn’t launched until 2011 😊
Oh also I wanted share w u I just sold one of my vintage dresses for $110!!! I did a happy dance!!
pamela gruppi that is so amazing! Congratulations 🍾🎉 vintage dresses are my favorite!
I think Gloria Vanderbilt has great clothes, but nobody seems to like it that much. Puzzling to me.
I agree! I think because it's just so saturated unfortunately. Such a shame because she did make some great pieces!
Harley Davidson Ts would be cool
Christina!! I’m SO thrilled ur doing the vintage thang!!! U know I’m a lover of vintage too!💗 I just put in my request for the new FB group!! I’m really excited about this new venture girl!!💗💗
