    That blimp is from the Command and Conquer games. 3rd kit in the series, with the Apocalypse tank, and one other tank.

    Pretty new and interesting model kits coming out in 2024. I might get the Ming U.S. mobile rocket launcher, and probably that would be on my purchasing list soon. 😊 Keep coming out with these new model kits and they seem to get better and better all the time.

    I know that N-scale from model railways is 1/148 scale or it means No-scale, in other words it's a series of kits in its own scale universe.

    Mate.
    You’re not giving Andy enough credit for his kits.
    It’s not just a re-labeled TaKom kit.
    Yes they create the moulds and punch the plastic.
    But Andy comes up with the subject. His team does all the design in the US.
    He has final say on changes to the test shots.
    And Andy does the instructions so you need to give him more credit for the process.
    They are his kits.
    He like many just out sources the manufacturing.
    He should be more supported for the work he puts in.

    • @viper29ca
      @viper29ca 3 місяці тому +3

      He doesn't do any of that at all. Design is all done by Takom, instructions are done by Takom. His idea for the kit as he is the one paying the bills, but everything else is done by Takom

    • @RWHobbies
      @RWHobbies  3 місяці тому +1

      @@allandaniell7055 I see it as a commercial partnership. Takom creates the kit. He puts on his branding and promotes on his UA-cam channel to generate sales and interest.

      @@viper29ca Watch his videos for the Sherman in 1/16.
      He explains the whole process.
      His mate at Das Werk said you can do this to after the Stug111 kit.
      Watch them all on the Sherman then tell me he does fuck all.
      Give the man some credit for doing great things for the hobby at least.

    • @viper29ca
      @viper29ca 3 місяці тому

      @@allandaniell7055 Never said he does fuck all. But outside of choosing the subject, approving the test shots, and marketing the kit, it is all Takom. He isn't designing the kit, or the instructions at all.
      If he was doing any of that, then why would he say "oh the instructions aren't made yet, so I have to build the test shot from scratch. If he was designing the instructions, he would at least have the master copy to go by, while building the test shot.
      Where does Das Werk come into this? He has no say on what Andy does. Das Werk is just the model kit arm of MBK Germany, they do the same thing, they choose the subject, approve test shots, etc, etc, and the company they are working with designs the kits and decals. He doesn't tell Andy what he can and can't do. I am sure they collaborate on what they want to do, so as to not duplicate things, but one doesn't control the other.
      No, Andy just puts for the money, chooses the subject, and approves the test shot(s). That's not nothing, but it's also not what you are crediting them for. Andy's HHQ kits, are no different than Border Models, or Ryefield models, both of which also do the same, and contract Takom to make their kits for them.
