He uses light cuz he has 0 stats he uses quickfang with grim becouse if you hit 1 m1 and then quickfang crit the enchant makes you do 25% more dmg

@ yes you need to have the advanced weapons modifications you can buy it with echoes when you make a new slot then on the starter weapon you choose quickfang (this is the only way to get it)

you have to spawn in the game with it in weapons tab at character selection its not a weapon you find if you got a battleaxe rn u can put grim on it but rapier is better bc the crit is multihit and applies grim faster
