  • Ben and I headed West over the Mountains, hoping to capture the snow on the Oberon Plateau. Alas, our timing was off by a mere 24 hours. Undeterred, we decided to pay a visit to our old mate Rod Crane at his farm in Cullen Bullen along the way.
Rod, affectionately known as "The Doc", (Don't ask!) has been a part of my life for over five decades. We shared the skies back in the mid-70s, flying with another old mate, Tony Wright. After a successful and varied aviation career, Rod now enjoys the tranquillity of his property in Cullen Bullen.
And then there's Ben-a mate of mine for more than 40 years. The three of us, seasoned aviators and storytellers, gathered for a cuppa. The conversation flowed with obligatory tall tales and other delightful bullshit.
Despite the biting Westerly winds, our trusty little drones persevered. We captured some remarkable footage of Rod's farm before venturing into the pine forests around Sunny Corner. Although the name suggests warmth, "Bloody Freezing Corner" would be a more accurate description!
    Stay tuned for more adventures!
