I like this song. I hate how people are bashing the JAPANESE singer. Gerard helped make this song for a reason and people should appreciate it more. Their voices were great in my opinion. And also Gerard looked really nice in this video :D I like Kyosuke in the song.
Frifri Pegasus I've always been a Boowy fan since the 80s. Kyosuke has an excellent standing of being a very talented songwriter for many years. I'm just trying to figure out if he wrote this song, because the original title for Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete was supposedly his other hit, "Calling".
The only reason people are bashing Kyosuke is because he has a Japanese accent. Quite frankly, fuck them. Like you say, Gee worked with him for a reason, and it's because he's good, and both of them have lost family members to cancer, which is why Kyosuke sings "you'll never hear me say I won't kiss you," in reference to MCR's song, Cancer. They are beautiful, and I love them both for what they've done here.
I admit that I came because of Gerard, but the song as a whole with Kyosuke and Gerard is really good. I like how different their voices are but still sound good together.

There is a reason why these two worked together, they were both fans of one another. It's an east meets west kind of song. Two different styles mashing together to make a whole, listen to some of Kyosuke Himuro 's Japanese songs, it may take some getting used to, but it's actually pretty good stuff if you can give it a chance. One I always liked was the song "Calling". That's a good jumping off point.
I'm a big fan of Calling, Heat, Jealousy, Memories of Blue, Squall, and Kiss Me. 😁👍 Edit: Also Safe and Sound is only in the Japanese version of ACC; west got Calling again.

However it was only featured in the Japanese version, with the English version still using "Calling". IMO, it's a great shame that Safe and Sound was not used in the English ver., given MCR's popularity in the West. They could have sold a ton more Blu-Rays had this song been used instead. About the music video: its interesting that Kyosuke and Gerard are singing in a desert and in the end it starts raining. Zack Fair also died in a desert as he protected Cloud Strife from Shinra's army, and passed on his legacy to him as he lay dying in the rain.

I understand that some English-speaking people have doubts about Himuro's English pronunciation, but for us Japanese, he is one of Japan's greatest rock stars, and we respect his voice and career. I also have the greatest respect for Gerald, who collaborated with Himuro by providing songs that matched him.

In Japan it had it and still has it. Many artists admired him and wanted to be like him. With his band BOØWY they marked the history of Japanese rock. Many bands were inspired by him. Japanese rock from the 80s and 90s was the best, they should have made themselves known to the world.

It's a good song, but KH's voice is too muddy for me - the song is made when G starts singing. I just like his voice better. The song is great tho. G is a TRUE rocker and needs to do or get a real rock band, get back to organically writing and old fashioned style recording. None of this record at separate times shit, get together and record a song where the energy and emotion is captured LIVE.
I really like this song. Including the lyrics. I can understand why people don't like it due it being hard to understand, but the song overall is good once you get the lyrics down and the sound around it is pretty unique. I play it very so often. It's a good song, but KH's voice is too muddy for me - the song is made when G starts singing. I just like his voice better. The song is great tho. G is a TRUE rocker and needs to do or get a real rock band, get back to organically writing and old fashioned style recording. I really like this song. Including the lyrics. I can understand why people don't like it due it being hard to understand, but the song overall is good once you get the lyrics down and the sound around it is pretty unique.
