Brooklyn DJ, producer and toucan sounds team member Haruka Salt follows up her ‘Tokyo Hang’ EP on the label with the ‘Wavyyy’ single, featuring the Atlanta-based, GRAMMY-nominated artist Rasheeda Ali, who is also the flutist in Jeff Mills’ live band.
Haruka Salt’s ‘Wavyyy’ boasts crisp, percussion-heavy rhythms accompanied by Rasheeda Ali’s gorgeous and whimsical flute melodies. Bitcrushed, nostalgic vocals complete its chilled-out vibe, with subtle, glistening synths soaring up top. The release also features an aptly named 2AM mix, which, with its sped-up tempos, ravey melodies and tripped-out glitches, will hold down the dancefloor until the early morning.
