Ill never forget my one pastor i used to have, He did a sermon on Tithing and how he had to be really careful when spending the churches money, he had 5 kids and made money by fixing up houses and reselling them, great pastor, Humble, Hard working, we also switched buildings like three times when i went there and we mever really owned a building, God used him to go help a lot of struggling churches and he still is in Virginia area

This was so good! I recently left my job at a prosperity gospel megachurch (think "Blessed Life") where tithing is the central tenet of what holds their church together. I was amazed at how people talked about "receiving the blessing" from God. They acted like if you didn't give the literal first 10% of your income to the church, you would miss out on God's blessings for your life and that you were robbing God. I started challenging my supervisor in these conversations by addressing things like what you mentioned in the video as well as reminding them that giving should never be about us and what we can get from it. Giving should always be about other people. Even when God gave Himself for humanity, it wasn't about what He could get from us. He simply gave His own life out of His abundant love - because generosity is in His nature. I hate how these false teachings on tithing have abused and hurt people and made people feel so guilty and cursed, especially those who are financially struggling. God honors FAITH, not a percentage.

      good writeup!
church is held together by the mediating life of an indwelling Savior, not tithes
people's nice standards of living are held together by a CROWD that is conditioned
to tithe (cha-ching) ... it doesn't hold together by a PEOPLE who give cheerfully
as they purpose in their heart
tithing creates a re-direct of the money to fund illicit reward/labor ratio while
      simultaneously withholding from desperate needs

I am reminded that Jesus was more impressed with the widow's mites than with any rich person giving their 10%. Start by giving what you can and then work from there.

isn't it amazing how a young lady whose opinion and voice so many preachers have conditioned the church to despise or treat as nothing, seems to understand the two covenants and how to rightly divide the word of truth better than 19/20 so-called "pastors"? great stuff BB!!!!!

Thank you, I am not a Christian but grew up as one and this helped me deal with a lot of t of guilt. I was barely able to make it and people told me by now t tithing I am stealing from God. I won't convert back the Christianity, but can appreciate you and the preachers in the comments and who teach God's word even if I don't agree with everything, I believe in not using his word to make others feel guilty. Jesus was love and Christians often forget that.

Your right tithe was never money the only time I saw it talking about money was if you can't make it to Jerusalem for the feast the to sell the stuff that was going to be your tithe and buy whatever your heart desires and eat it before God. This is what they did for the feast days. For me I save up 10% every month to save to go do the feast.

Also in Malachi it says will a man rob God and it says you do it in tithes and offerings and there are plenty of Pastors that the ministry requires them to be FULL time so that's her opinion but there's NO WAY some Pastors can have a secular job,but I'm a tither and I'm not about to stop.

Thank you my sister all they’re interested is 10% of our salary. I Was visiting a CHurch where someone was thrown out for not tithing, pastor told him to leave, thank you for all that you do to expose these things, another thing they’re doing at the beginning of the year is asking us to bring our first salary of the year as a first fruit offering, taking scripture out of context celebrating this old covenant festival, the pastor would tell us that God would curse us and our children if we didn’t bring 10% of all our financial earning!

This is correct teaching. The old testament jewish Israelites did not have a government like today. Therefore, the tithe was 23.3 percent.
We have a USA government were we pay taxes of 15 to 35 percent. So, a person who needs to have welfare assistance or social security through taxation.
In the New covenant Christians are free from the law so a Christian according to Paul the apostle in 2nd Corinthians 9:7 says God loves a cheerful giver. Meaning who ever sows sparringly will reap sparingly and who gives will reap more.
New testament is give according to your heart. Giving is also time treasures and talents. Another thing is that the new covenant really starts in the book of Acts in the upper room when the Holy Spirit was given to the 120 where 3,000 were filled with the Holy Spirit.

Hey sis God has been revealing to me this truth and I didn't even seek to find it. I'm just shocked because he has also shown me that many of these pastors know the truth and they are just taking advantage of the unlearned and the weak. Yes out of nowhere I was receiving more money when I didn't get the chance to tithe and that is when God began to lead me to the truth!! God already knows our needs and he already ordained for you to be taking care of. Keep preaching the truth sis !!!!

I past buy my old church that collected a building fund every year plus the 10 percent. 22 years ago I stopped going because the pastor was nasty when he called people in to his office. My church I used to go to the next town over did that with building funds and 10 percent. One day I got in to the word and studied the 10 percent she is so correct. People pastors have mothers doing bad on a government program for help with money and food children go without because of evil pastors. Stay home read your Bible and pray God Bless.

CONCERNING THE TITHE: what the Word says.....
    1. Tithing was
NEVER money... it was FOOD (Lev.27:26, 30-33) (Deut. 14:22-23) (Num.
12:44-45) (Num. 13:5, 9, 12) who changed it to money?
    2. It was
every year, every 3 yrs or every 7 (Amos 4:4 “every 3 years) (Neh. 10:35
“year by year”) (Deut. 14:22 “year by year”) (Deut.26:12 “every 3
years”) who changed Gods word to every Sunday?
    3. Tithing was of the
law (Lev. 27) to the children of Israel {NOTE} in (Gen 28) Jacob vowed a
vow under a condition "IF" that he (Jacob) made to God that he never
fulfilled.. Jacob was still a deceiver at this time. later in (Gen
32:28) Jacob's name was changed to "ISRAEL" ....same ppl who received
the LAW to tithe.. THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL......makes sense?? LOL
4.The law was satisfied/fulfilled (Gal 3) we don't have to "tithe"
anymore just like we don't have to sacrifice sheep.. "FULFILLED"
    5.
You aren't cursed if you don't tithe...have to read Mal 1 and 2 to
understand that in Mal 3.. God is talking to the Levite priest
    6. You ARE cursed if you DO tithe... becuz you are KEEPING the law... (Gal 3) if you do them, you must live in them...
    7. When Abraham tithed, God did NOT command him to do it... (cant use that)
    8. The church was NEVER the storehouse (2 Chron. 31:1-14)
    9. The Levite priest are the ones to bring the tithe to the storehouse (Num. 18:25-32) and (Neh. 10:38)
    10. Who were the tithe for?? read (Num. 18:21-24) (Deut. 10:9) (Deut.
    18:1) (Josh.13:33) (Neh.10:38) (Deut. 14:28-29) (Deut. 26:12-14) (2
    chron. 31:4)
    11. Jesus even recognize the tithe as food and it was
LAW.. (Matt. 23:23) Jesus said they should tithe becuz He did NOT die
    yet and fulfill... THE LAW....
    12. Tithing and giving are totally different... and we SHOULD give...there is NO loophole out of giving...
    13. (Heb 7). is only showing how Jesus is after the order of
Melchizedek..being a priest forever and also having a change in
COVENANT... a NEW one.. a BETTER one..
    14. Last thing....Matt.
22:15-22 Jesus said give to Caesar what is Caesar’s and give to God what
is God’s…. In the context… Jesus asked who’s “IMAGE” is on the coin????
They said “Caesar…. “ So in context… the money belongs to Caesar… who’s
“IMAGE” is God on??? Let’s go to Genesis 1:26 (Let US make man in OUR
own IMAGE) so that means we belong to God… God wants 100% of us… NOT 10%
…… we are also heirs and joint heirs with Christ….Rom. 8:17…..
everything that we OWN… HE OWNS.. and everything the He owns… we own…
there is NO 90/10……… so when the church (NOT ALL CHURCHES) tells us NOT
to pay our bills because we MUST give to God 1st [even if we’re
struggling] that is wrong… for ex…. If your mortgage is due and the bank
is Wells Fargo and when you got paid, all you had is enough for the
mortgage…. If you give God what belongs to wells Fargo (Caesar)… you’re
    out of order…....
(BONUS) (Deut 14:24,25,26) MOST PASTORS WILL
NEVER TEACH OR EVEN SHOW THIS ONE!!!!!!!! you can EAT your tithe.....
and this is the ONLY scripture where the tithe is synonymous with
money.. and it was UNDER A CONDITION OF "IF"....please read!!!!
Also, when churches say you are cursed and that your electric is going
to be shut off or your car is going to break down becuz you didnt
tithe.. that is manipulation which is witchcraft.... Ask GOD what to
give and how much and who to give too... Prov. 3:6 In all your ways
acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.... hope this helps
    someone!

It's crazy what people can learn when they actually read their Bible isn't it. And knowing how to take the scriptures in context. Learning the history learning how things work and actually learning the meaning of all these different traditions and laws and rules changes everything. You can't bull crap a person whos educated and well read. Pray people will learn to study their Bible as much as they do everything else sitting in the pews once a week.

I did read Deu 14 and that's what changed my mind about tithe. Then I started really reading my Bible. Also learning about the Jewish culture the Israelite culture. It's not the same as gentiles although we are grafted in their traditions are not the same as gentile traditions and even Paul says there's a few things he wants gentiles to do. Not to complete the law. But even reading that the levitical priesthood has changed the old law has changed. Old covenant has changed Jesus fulfilled it all. I read it in Hebrews 7:11-12 where it says that the old priesthood has changed and when an old priesthood had changed the law has to change.

    • @BunnyWatson-k1w
      @BunnyWatson-k1w 5 місяців тому

That's because the tax law allows it. The IRS in the U.S. (and CRA in Canada) give a tax credit for charitable donations. If the guy has $600 /month to burn he must have a good income. It is not dollar for dollar, but is usually a percent of what was given.

Yet I find it funny that some Christians seem to have forgotten the passage of scripture in Malachi 3:8-11i(where it says, wherein have you robbed me,in tithes and offerings). Yes,as Christians,we do freely give, and I hope that we give to worthy causes to help bless other people who are not as fortunate as we are(not to causes that would undermine society). So by that passage of scripture,we learn that we should not rob God of these things. I tithe a portion of what I make every month,to the best of my ability, and guess what? The money is there for my expenses to be paid each month. When we make good decisions with our money,I believe good things are promised. Did Jesus not teach us all to give to others, help the poor, the needy? I think so. Does not mean we have to be perfect at it,we simply have to do our best and that is all that he expects us to do. Very simple when you think about it folks.

I got saved and married in late 80’s. We were faithful tithers even though we lived in a 10’x55’ trailer and drove junky vehicles. We wanted to get a new car so we got one. We didn’t keep it long because I didn’t have enough money to pay the note after paying the 10% tithe. We wind up letting my bro in law take over notes. He lived next door to us and it was hard to see him drive our new car. 😭 I thought God would pour us out a blessing?!?! We were brainwashed that we will go to hell or be cursed if we didn’t pay 10%. Theres been other times we couldn’t pay our bills because church got 10%. We don’t blow money away. We lived paycheck to paycheck. I recently come across videos talking about tithes and learned the truth. We only GIVE the church about 5% of paycheck. We paid off two vehicles. 😀 My pastor recently told my church that the church money isn’t up to a certain amount he liked. 😱 Our country is in a crisis right now with price of things going up. Can’t believe he wanted us to give more money.

    here is an eye-opening side-by-side:
THOSE WHO PUSH FOR TITHE MANDATE
-use generic langues (drawing nice blurry lines)
-mix the covenants (blurring "the eyes of understanding")
    -cherry-pick their favorite rules (inconsistency)
-act like anyone who questions them is an apostate or heretic (blotting out or downright attacking the inheritance in Christ)
-use guilt/shame (denying the cross ... and ... the resurrection)
    THOSE WHO DENY TITHE MANDATE
-look at the specific language of Scripture (drawing nice, clear, defined lines)
-keep the covenants separate and distinct (clarifying "the eyes of understanding")
-completely abandon the law as their righteousness (the mediation of Christ now making them consistent with themselves)
-encourage everyone to read the scripture for themselves (acknowledging many things that are part of the glorious inheritance in Christ)
-point to the life-giving power of the Spirit (confirming the cross and the resurrection)
For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. (Rom 5:10)

Any controversy about tithing is whether it is based on your gross, net, or disposable income. The Lord still requires you to pay 10% of your increase. You can define what the increase entails. Having said that, God will not starve if you can't afford to pay or are not willing to pay the 10%. He just wants obedience to the commandment. We learn more from giving a tithe than by refusing to pay it.

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. Simple mathematics explains this common croockery. Tithe ten percent to me, for instance a church of 100 people all tithe 10 units of their income what ever currency it maybe, equaling to 10% of their income. This means the pastor has taken in 100X 10= 1000. He then tithes 10% of his or her income to god = 100. The pastor then keeps 900. So the person who benefits the most from tithing is the pastor. God benefits most from us being cheerful givers, sowing his seeds in the world, I,e giving to who ever has need. My advice is give your income to those around you who do have need, multiMillionaire pastors have no need and all you are doing is sowing to greed .

We shouldn't fund anything that is not doing the will of God because we are encouraging a person bad use of God's money and that is something we will have to answer to God about.

I also remember giving isn't just money. James 2 talks about taking care of people you have a coat give. If you have something somebody needs and you can give it to them give it to them. Be kind be generous be gentle this is part of being a Christian. God gave to us life so I can't we give life to others. Jesus gave 5,000 people bread and fish. He clearly cares about our physical needs along with their spiritual needs and where to do the same we're supposed to be the hands and feet of God that's the point of this. We need to see the spirit of why we give why they even give back then it was because of A generous Heart. And it wasn't no tense it was way more than that. If churches are receiving old but there's no spiritual growth they're reaping what they are showing. I know pastors who are struggling because they're literally reaping what they're giving. Cuz they're not given to the poor they're not helping those in need they're helping themselves. So their Church the people don't want to go out and serve they want to sit in the pew and let people tickle their ears. Then they go home and live the same way without giving because no one's requiring what Jesus actually taught us was to be giving not just sitting in a pew and pretending to be a Christian but giving with our heart. Matthew 25 talks about giving 2 the least of these.

*Mat 25:41-46 (the goats) did not do or have not works so they go away into everlasting punishment
*Mat 25:40,45 (the least of these My brethren) and (the least of these) is Israel only, cross reference with Jhn 20:17/HEB 2:16,17 = this verse must be read in King James bible. Most bibles are wrong in this verse.

There's a difference between being flawed and someone who is knowingly teaching the Bible yet directly ignoring what the word actually says. 7:55 "We dont follow the rules of the old covenant anymore because we are in the new covenant"
How did you come to this conclusion that the new covenant did away with rules of the old covenant?
Hebrew 8:10/ Jeremiah 31:31 explains new covenant:
I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people”
The new covenant says nothing about not following God's rules, simply that the location will change from stone to our hearts.
And Jesus said in Matt 5:18-19:
“For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished. Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven"
Heaven and earth are still here therefore none of the laws are annulled and those teaching they are annulled will be called least in the kingdom. So we need to be careful telling others that we dont keep them anymore.
The law of tithing to the Levite has not been done away with, simply that it cannot be fullfilled because there is no temple. During lockdowns, when there was no air travel, were the rules and laws governing air travel done away with? No, the rules simply couldn't be fulfilled. One day there will be a 3rd temple and so many of the laws will be fulfilled again.
I believe you're correct in saying a pastor should not be claiming the tithe of a Levite. But it doesn't mean the law is done away with, it just cannot be fully fulfilled because there isn't a priesthood and temple..for now (3rd temple prophesied)
Jesus said The Law hangs on 2 commandments in Mat 22:37-40
"And He said to him, “‘YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’ This is the great and foremost commandment.
The second is like it, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’ Upon these two commandments hang the whole Law and the Prophets."
If we approach the law from a mindset of 'what applies and what doesn't apply' we can become legalistic. Instead of annulling laws because one cannot fathom that it is still here today, approach a law with the mindset of learning how to love others by asking "how does this law reflect love for my neighbour and love for God?" Then we can grow.
    Paul says in 1Tim:17-18
" The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching. For Scripture says, “Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain,” and “The worker deserves his wages.”
So, though it is inaccurate for a pastor to request tithes, I think we should pay them something. The law of the tithe teaches how we can be loving to those that dedicate their lives to teaching and serve God. We must not muzzle the ox, and law of the tithe of the levite shows us to reward those who dedicate themselves to God's service. That is loving. Yes, paul sewed tents to make a living but he also said not to muzzle the ox.
Final note, we should not think that keeping God's law means we are being legalistic and trying to save ourselves. Rather, keeping His law is how we show Him we love Him:
    1John 5:3
"For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome."
I would encourage everyone to read the old testament, and when you read a law, rather than dismissing it, ask 'how does this reflect love for God and love for my neighbour'. I think we could all learn a lot from this exercise.

  • @MetalVania
    @MetalVania 8 місяців тому +2

Ok here's what you don't understand. First off Jesus is the word. Both old and New Testament. John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word (meaning Jesus), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." Jesus is the word. Which means we obey all his word. In fact Jesus said this in Matthew 5:17 "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil." So if we are no longer required to obey the old law aside from the new law then why would Jesus say that? Gods commandments are not just for one time they are for always. Jesus said in John 14:15 "If ye love me, keep my commandments". Also everything including our finances belong to God. How? Simple. Colosians 1:16 "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:" God has called not just us as the body of Christ to go out and witness. Believers are not just the church. We are called to be planted in his church. Not just to worship, but to give unto Gods house as well. The bible says in hebrews 10:25 "not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching." It also says in psalms 150:1 "Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power". So God has called the church meaning the body of Christ to come together in his church to worship. Be spiritually fed. And to give unto Gods house to provide for the vision he has for those church buildings that he has placed on the pastors hearts whom he has placed in those churches. Yes we are meant to give towards people in need as well. But what else do you think the tithe goes towards?. It goes towards homeless events to giving groceries to the poor at church outreaches. It goes towards youth events. Missionary trips. Upgrading things in Gods house when it's needed. So its not all going towards the pastor. It's going towards Gods vision for the church that he is calling the pastors to get done. So its not to guilt. It's to bless God and his house which he is calling us to attend. And guess what? When you dont want to give towards Gods kingdom and vision. Youre not just robbing God. Youre robbing yourself of a blessed secure life. And also your money has become your treasure. Not God and his righteousness. Matthew 6:21 "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also". So not only has then your money become your treasure and source to you. It's become your now love. Not God. Gods not against money. Or even being rich. He's against it if its become your love and treasure. So when you hold back on giving to God, thats become your love. Not him. 1st Timothy 6:10 "For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows". And ill end with this. You really expect me or any true Christian to believe youre blessed despite not giving to God? That so a lie. I see through that. Youre a robber of God. And a liar which means you are of the devil. Because you want to preach false testimony. Exodus 23 "Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness." Repent.

Hi, I just wanted to say this. There is a misconception about the idea of tithing. In the new covenant, The Lord’s purpose was to fulfill the law, not take away the law. I still find tithing necessary because church bills still need to be paid, especially if a pastor is pastoring a large church that is not internationally known. I know pastors who tithe and it has only been for the promotion of the gospel and bills pertaining to the building where people commune. Pastors and leaders can’t do it on their own, it doesn’t make sense. If I have been a member of a church for more than two years, What kind of member would I be if I choose not to support the finances of my church home? The government is not going to pay and give the church resources, it’s the job of the church family. Now I do agree that pastors are not supposed to seek profits from the church. Any pastor that orders/requires you to give money for them out of greed is wrong. They too need their own source of income without the dependence on the sheep he/she is feeding. I still believe in the principles of tithing. You don’t give out of obligation, but by faith and according to what’s in your heart. When we give to God we give our best physically, spiritual, mentally and financially. There is a blessing in giving, not concerning the pastors but your passion to take care of the body (children of God) if in need and the house of God where the people commune. I am not saying wipe out your bank account but I want you to see the fact that you gain more when we practice the obedience and sacrifice of giving. God wants us to submit to him in all things, not just when it’s comfortable and convenient. So do whatever you are lead to do in servitude in God’s kingdom because what you store up here on earth for the kingdom is bound in heaven. It’s not always about the amount you gave but about where your heart was when you gave that amount. God bless you greatly sister in Christ.

I hate the bad examples of Christian stewardship that inspires this type of video, but to be fair, most collections are simply keeping the lights on and the water running. Some collections are enough for the church to be missional, which is the goal. Few are able to hire staff, be missional, and plant new churches. And while I know they exist, I have never personally met the pastor who is lining his Gucci with the tithe of the widow, or charging his Tesla from the collection of orphans. But because of that last example, people become suspicious of the collection, and will not give even to the first and second examples. Also, most pastors today are working 2-3 jobs already - telling all pastors to get a job rather than take a salary is wild. Loved ones of God, go into full time ministry first, get a taste of that work/life balance, then judge the pastor who is able to take a salary.

Your Scentsy candles won't save anyone from hell, Sapphira, and your greed is going to profit no one. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. The work of the church is the spiritually feed Christians, to train them up to do the work of God, preaching the gospel and winning souls to Christ. You're not going to win anyone to Christ by denying the word of God. And Christ is the word of God. If you're saved, which I doubt, you should be afraid, because there's a righteous God in Heaven that cannot excuse sin. Either it will condemn you for all eternity, or you will be chastised here on Earth. It could cost you your life.
    Acts 5
1¶But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,
2And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet.
3But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
4Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
5¶And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.
6And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him.
7¶And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in.
8And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.
9¶Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.
10Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.
11And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.
12¶And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch.
13And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them.
14And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)
15Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.
16There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.

@@FirstLast-zk5ow Now it's easy to insert and mix bible versus to fit the narrative. However, it's the whole context of the versus. I'm assuming your talking about Matthew 25:35 through 41
The Parable is that those on earth at that time will be brought before the Lord, and He will separate them “as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left” (verses 32-33). The sheep are those who were saved during the tribulation; the goats are the unsaved who survived the tribulation.
It's about works but scripture does not contradict itself, and the Bible clearly and repeatedly teaches that salvation is by faith through the grace of God and not by our good works. Althought good works good but Zero mention about 10% this is act of kindness. You see homeless person give them food etc etc etc. OR do you give your $200 to a homeless person and not know what they will do to it.

Don't ever give money to the church . If you want to tithe or give find someone who is poor or a widow and find out how you can bless them with your time money and some times even use your car to help a widow to get to the store. To me that it a better way of giving then to a church . I have been hurt from the false teaching of tithing and at the time i was a widow and on government money coming in each month hard to live on that i go to church ask for help they didn't help me the would want to spend the money to build a community center then to help a widow who can't keep food on the table and let her not eat.

Wow, it surprises me that you don't think a pastor should be a full time job! You obviously have no idea how much time it really takes to do a pastors job. No idea. It definitely 100% makes sense for them to be full time to actually be able to be there for their congregation at all times that they are needed, among many other things. It's so much more than just giving a lesson once a week. I just cannot believe any Christian would say that and not be able to see what all a full time pastor really does.
I do agree that tithing 10% specifically is no longer the law of God but most definitely not for that reason. That really shows absolutely no knowledge or appreciation for what a pastor really does. My husband and I are youth pastors and even just at that, we could easily make it a full time job if we were able to financially. I'm just like mind blown here! 😳

I pastored a small church for about 3 years and never took a paycheck. I know another pastor who has worked for over 20 at a larger church (than the one I was at anyway) that has done the same.
I will say since making this video, I have changed my mind about whether pastors should be paid or not (they should, but they definitely shouldn't be making a ton of money). At the time I made this video, my eyes were opened to how many churches pay pastors a lot but give minimal help to the poor. I was determined not to be like this, so I went to the extreme.

You have a very nice demeanor dear. This is said in love, and not hate or judgment.
Please be careful when someone "well-meaning" but totally deceived tries to talk you out of tithing. You can "context" yourself to death on the tithing issue. But never forget one thing; God says I AM the same yesterday, today, and forever. ❤
We tithe and are blessed in doing so. Please find good ground to put your seed into. If your pastor is using it to enrich himself, he will be accountable to God. And accountable for all eternity. Hell is not a joke or a myth. Believe me, I tried to find every excuse in the book not to tithe! And sadly, you will find people galore out there siding with you. Trust me, it is wiser to store up treasures in Heaven, then here on earth, people. Please don't forget that it is not only men that receive your tithe. Please take a look at Hebrews 7:8: (New Testament)
And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.
The writer of Hebrews never said (...but there He used to receiveth them way back when in the good old days!) That ends all arguments about it. If you're offended with tithing, then why not call it giving! And Heck, why not give 20% while you're at it! We are commanded to preach the Gospel and tell the world of the love, grace and Saving power of Jesus Christ. Exactly how are we supposed to do that if it is not funded! We shouldn't tithe out of "compulsion", but out of our love for God. Allow me to let everyone here in on a little secret. These are the things that Jesus desires of you, and they are paramount to have for your "building materials" in Heaven. I love you enough to share the truth about it with you. This comes from a Korean pastor who died and had a verifiable NDE. You can find his testimony online. Pastor Park was his name, and he was pastor of a megachurch over there. Prior to his NDE, he owned 5 luxury cars, and property totaling $150 Million USD. I would suggest checking out what he said. You can mock, but you will only be mocking yourself. I pray that you take it very seriously.
This is what Jesus asked him:
"The Lord then asked me five questions.
    1. “How much time did you spend reading the Word (bible)?
    2. How much did you give of offerings?
    3. How many times have you evangelized to people?
    4. Did you tithe properly?
    5. How much time did you spend in prayer?”
I could not answer the fifth question. The Lord rebuked me for the fifth question. “After you had become a mega church pastor, you had become very lazy with prayer. Being busy is no excuse to Me!” I had to repent of it later."
Anyway, that's the skinny of it! Bottom line...Tithe! And if possible give above the tithe. The biggest mansions in Heaven were witnessed to belong to greats like D.L. Moody, and John Wesley. The latter died with about $30 dollars to his name. He's the one who said to give him a few fearless men of God, and "I'll storm the very Gates of Hell." And he did!
Satan never plays fair, don't be on the receiving end up his deception. Your soul is worth beyond all the Kingdoms of the World, and Satan knows it, and hates you for it! So whatever it takes to drag you with him into his eternal destination, the Lake of Fire, he will gladly do. Whether it's the deception of Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, reincarnation, sex outside of marriage, masturbation, Porn, Homosexuality, or not obeying God's word as far as giving is concerned, whatever it takes! Please, don't play games with your eternity.
This life is a vapor, that appears for a moment, and vanishes. Eternity never ends.
Please, my friends, avoid this miserable place of endless torment. Stop living for your flesh, and submit to the Kingdom of God and live a holy life. God loves you, but He is also a God of Judgement. His mercy is only extended to you on this side of the grave.
The only way to escape the fires of Hell is to repent and accept Jesus as personal Savior and Lord. Please do that now and repeat the prayer at the bottom. Many screaming in the fires and torture of Hell today would give all their treasures or riches for one opportunity to come back and pray the sinner's prayer and accept Christ into their heart. You have an opportunity, they don't.
    Pray this prayer:
Dear Lord God, I realize that I am a sinner and that I'm in need of a savior. Please forgive me, I'm sorry for my sins. I believe that Jesus died on the cross in my place paying the penalty for my sins. Right now I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and Savior of my life and I accept You now Lord Jesus. Lord God, I believe in my heart that you raised Jesus from the dead. According to the Bible, I'm now saved, and Born Again. Show me how to live the rest of my life for you, in Jesus Name, Amen.
    Love in Christ
PS. There was a lady who's old father had been "anti tithe" most of his life. He ended up having a very expensive heart operation. He survived, but when the daughter totaled the amount he had to pay for the operation, it ended up being the exact amount that he would've paid in tithes for all those "stingy" years! Is it worth not tithing, I think NOT! Please be wise enough not to find out the hard way, like so many! The thought of tithing made me sick for a while when I started. I figured the government seems to be getting almost 50% of everything anyway! Then my sexy little Asian wife and I started to tithe, full speed ahead. One account now has close to 350K and other account (hand savings) has almost the same. We are saving about $12,000 per month, and we are not trying to. But since we started tithing and giving above the tithe that is what is happening to us.
So, with that said, my question is:
Do you like apples? Well, how about them apples!

Hello Tom! Thank you for your comment. I am never offended by opposing views and I appreciate you expressing yours.
I was a dedicated tither for years and I was not trying to find an excuse not to tithe. I felt the Holy Spirit pull at my heart to study the matter instead of just listening to people preach. We are to study to show ourselves approved.
The verse you mentioned does not tell us to tithe. It is a comparison of the levitical priesthood to that of Melchizedek. Jesus was the last "high priest" in that preisthood, therefore we do not have a priest to give a tithe to. If you read this passage and think it means we are supposed to tithe, it means that you already thought we were supposed to tithe and read this verse through the lense of your bias instead of what the verse is actually saying. Here's a link to a very in depth look at this passage enduringword.com/bible-commentary/hebrews-7/
And yes I will context myself to death because if we do not read verses in context we read them through our own bias. This is how people end up twisting scripture, by taking one verse out of context and not reading it the way it was meant to be read.
I am not advocating against giving to the churches. Giving is a natural part of being a Christian. I believe I outlined this in the end of the video. But the New Covenant does not tell us to tithe.

Thanks for your response my dear. You have a beautiful attitude. And as a Pilot I know that attitude determines your altitude! So when I started tithing, then the big thing was should it be from net or gross! We just ended up going full speed ahead with it. I told Bing (Analyn) my wife that if we are wrong I don't think God will penalize us for it. We would then consider it giving. Anyway, I'm more concerned about the lost going to a very real Hell then tithing. It's so sad when you see a preacher on UA-cam who cares about souls and getting people saved, with only 300 views, but you see a teenage girl doing a "bikini haul" half naked and she has 500,000 subscribers. They have no idea how accountable they are. Anyway my dear, my wife's out in San Francisco, and I'm here in Pensacola Beach Florida. Trying to purchase a beach property. Fortunately, we own a lot of land up along the FL/AL border, so I go up to our acreage and pray when I'm not meeting with realtors.
I hope you do some additional videos my dear. I would look forward to them!

-Romans --4:12- It doesn't tell us to tithe in the Abrahamic steps of faith
      - I cannont find a verse that said Abraham and Jacon tithed after the covenant of grace?
-Why are Pastors Levites? The only reason that Levites were given crops was because they had no land inheritance. Without the tithe they would have starved. There are no rules and regulations for tithing in the new covenant, only rules from the old which do not make sense now.

Christ Walk :the issue is the principle. Just as some always say tithe is mentioned once or twice or not at all, likewise tax is mentioned once and there is no scriptural evidence that they did pay ,though I believe they paid. Pls read Hebrews 7 carefully. Abrahamic tithing is different from Aaronic tithing.
In fact Aaron(levitical priesthood) tithed to Melchizedek (Christ priesthood),all tithed while in the loin of Abraham
Christ is from a different Tribe which was not mentioned at the altar(under the levitical priesthood or order) Heb 7:6-12 read carefully.
The priesthood of Christ is in the Order of Melchizedek which as no end
.it shifted from Aaron to Judah tribe that's from Levi to Christ whose priesthood as no end
.Levi tithed to Melchizedek (a typology : of Christ Priesthood)
.Abraham and Jacob didn't tithed with herbs
.Abraham had the GOSPEL preached to him by GOD not the LAW Gal 3 :4-8, & to the end. Read carefully.
You don't teach or preach tithe from the levitical priesthood because that does not belong in the new Church whose High priest is CHRIST himself.
.everything under the law pointed to Christ ,so all offerings be it ,freewill, sacrifices, wave offering, tithe ,CHRIST fulfilled they all, pls including freewill offering which you believe is the right way to give (so do we stop)
Hebrews 7 Paul did not argued against tithe . He was saying there is a new High Priest (in the Body )from a different tribe and of a different Order whom we should tithe to (not the pastors (levites) )

What I can see here is that this young woman had a bad experience in her church with the teaching of tithing that is why she began to make her discovery. First of all, what she is talking about, the church does not practice the Levitical tithe, it is true that many pastors or teachers use the Levitical tithe to teach, and I do not judge anyone, it is due to lack of knowledge. Now, what the church does practice is the tithe that Abraham made to the priest Melchisedec ”and blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all, Genesis‬ ‭14‬:‭20‬. Jesus Christ high priest after the order of Melchisedec, Hebrews‬ ‭5‬:‭10‬. We are children of Abraham by faith in Jesus, what Abraham did, We must also do, when Jesus came to earth the Levitical tithe was practiced, but when Jesus came, the priesthood was changed and the law was also changed, Hebrews 7:12.
We practice the tithe that Abraham did and in that tithe there are blessings. In the Leviticus tithe, anyone who did not give a tithe was known as a thief and the worst thing about that was that there was a curse, but in Abraham's tithe there was no curse, but blessings. Abraham gave his tithes because he knew the universal principle of wealth.
The tithe means the 10%. Tithes should be voluntary and kind-hearted, and not obligatory. Secondly, in this country Everything is money. The church’s bills depends on tithes and offerings from members. The church does not receive a single dollar from the government. That is why we ask all members to be faithful to God with their tithes and offerings. That is between you and God not with man.

man o man, lady you left out a lot of scripture. The first one being that; “WOMEN ARE NOT TO TEACH THE CHURCH.” ~1 Timothy 2:12//1 Corinthians 14:34! Let alone women Teaching false doctrine about giving and tithes. Then, there’s the scripture you completely ignore where the Apostle Paul taught about Ministers being given their living from preaching the gospel. “Don’t you know that those who serve in the temple get their food from the temple, and that those who serve at the altar share in what is offered on the altar? IN THE SAME WAY(as in the Law of Moses), the Lord has COMMANDED that those who preach the gospel should receive their living from the gospel. ~1 Corinthians 9: 13-14~
This is a NEW COVENANT(testament) COMMANDMENT given to the church, and you suggest they get jobs like the rest of us.
Then you LEFT OUT THE “NEW COVENANT(new testament)” teaching about Abraham offering TITHES to Melchizedek. Where the levites who took the tithes, ALSO PAID TITHES. New Testament(covenant) GIVING IS NOT VOLUNTARY, or REGULATED TO 10%. Apostle Paul instructed that Christians, set aside a “PORTION OF THE MONEY THEY EARNED THAT WEEK,”bring it to the church and keep it until he came to preach to them, THE RICH ARE COMMANDED TO GIVE LIBERALLY FOR THE SAKE OF THE POOR. In the book of acts, those that had HOUSES AND LANDS, sold them and placed the money, 100% of the sale, at the Apostles feet. There were even a man and woman who were STRUCK DEAD, because they lied to the HOLY GHOST, when they told Apostle Peter they had given all the money from their land sale, but didn’t. This is why women are not allowed to teach the church!
