I do appreciate that West made peace with the show and the iconic duo. It helps that John K's antics got exposed and no one's treating the Games Animation staff like "traitors" anymore.

Yeah, maybe because since Billy's getting old, his Stimpy voice is not as energetic as he used to be when Ren and Stimpy was a big thing back then. That's what happens when you start to age. Your voice ages. At least he can still do Ren unlike John.

Yeah, when John K was fired after Season 2 of the original show, Billy West took the role of Ren from Season 3 to Season 5. And he also will be voicing the two in the reboot. Though I wish the young writers of the reboot weren't so ageist and sexist towards Bob Camp, Bill Wray, and Jim Gomez, in fact those three left development of the reboot due to that reason leaving Billy West as the only guy from the OG show involved with the production.
Billy West once came to Australia where I live. I wanted to meet him and have his autograph on my Ren and Stimpy DVD box set but my dad said, "There will be lots of people to see him. Besides do you really think he signs autographs for free? He might want money for it." So then I decided not to see West. Sad though. :(
He got better as Ren as he went on (he was just bad as him in his first episodes) but I'll always prefer John K as Ren. Billy never quite captured Ren's insanity quite like John. It just felt more natural from him.

However, during season 2 while John was being fired Billy did some scenes as Ren for a few episodes before assuming the role full time for season 3 of the original series and other then the Adult Party series has done both the voices since.
When they moved the Ren & stimpy show to the spike Network and then it became way adult with homosexuality among other things I can't quite remember if Billy West was voiceover in for it and if so what did he really think about them changing the subject matter so drastically if I were him I wouldn't have wanted to change the formula that much or going that direction I really was disturbed by that reboot
