- This video shows the progression of American states by population from the year 1640 all the way up to the year 2300. Watch as states explode in population and rise to the top as others dwindle down and lose their dominance over America.

A great clip. Only one suggestion: change the background as it is hard enough to read the names of the states!
I love the fact CA came with a second clutch near the end
Source: 5 earths worth of resources
I had to pause the video...where did Alaska get so many people???
I'm guessing global warming.
With all if its inland cities set to grow, CA simply can’t lose that much population.
Eventually it will millions and millions of Americans
are constantly leaving that state mainly due financial situations
That also doesn't consider how many people are going to flee red states as they become Christian fascist fiefdoms.
Colarod having more people than New York is cursed
Maryland's flag is cool.
Seeing Georgia vying for second place is so cool
revenge of california
As a Colorado resident, I am not surprised
flags for the states of Mississippi and Kansas are missing...
I saw that to
Next to 3000
Why does Mississippi don`t have a flag?
Because the file type is wrong according to Flourish, you can also see it with Kansas
New York State population almost peaked 24 million by 2100.
could you make it 2500 us states
It's Already here.
lets make Nigeria state
please make it from Brazil

...in 2300?
You really can't predict this. Things like changing birth rates, pandemics, and political/economic/cultural changes may shift migration patterns. At one point, it seemed like the sky was the limit for Detroit, but that changed. In the '80s, it seemed that way in California, but look at it now. Right now, the Southeastern United States is booming in population, but there isn't anything that will guarantee that will always be the case.
i like how alaska is 15 place
I can't imagine Washington having 35 M people. We have 8 M now.
For real

@@imperialstatistics Kool. Can't wait for that :) keep up the good work 👍
Delaware Was The First State
The jumpscare with Nevada
Where did you find this data?
If anything, the population of each state will probably be about half of what they are today and not double lol
We will keep Maryland is 14M in 2400
It means that it will increase by 40,000 every year?
Look at Massachusetts' Population when the US Had 348,301.
Yes, Illinois has been losing population, but not to the point where it will literally keep decreasing for hundreds of years! There may be birth rate growths or tax reductions or better costs and quality of living, and there isn’t a world where Alaska or Utah would steamroll in population like that. Finally, how the hell is Georgia going to become an empire when right now it has one major city and two smaller metro areas?
Ok but this part of Ohio 3:35☠️
6:09 Arizona did not decrease from 2010-2020!
I don’t understand what the brackets mean.
include Indian?
You can see Indiana on the bottom of the list in 2075!
@@ChristianityIsBased I mean the native Americans
@@hoii5692 that’s not a state
I need to Minnesota get first
Then ask everyone to move to Minnesota its simple
1776, Everyone: INDEPENDENCE!!!!
The video seemed appropriate until Texas suddenly decreased in population. California's population is decreasing year by year while Texas's population is increasing rapidly due to immigration and financial stability.
That said, the ridiculous projection of California regaining it's spot is simply too stupid. L video.
Financial stability?😂 that can barely be predicted 3 years out, let alone 300!
@@tomdalton4293 In comparison to California, it is very stable. Would you like to say anything else, clown?
Texas = Bad
In 250 years minnesota will be booming😅
Do us cities
To 2310 Georgia will be 2
Bro hates florida, such a shizzy kid
Florida: I surrender.
