Thanks bud! I do miss as much as the next person but misses are boring to watch haha I really liked shooting that little gun, it certainly sharpens your shooting 👍
Great shooting, what cartridges and ranges are you shooting at? I have been shoiting for years but started shooting this year with the Mossberg hushpower 410 and it is taking some getting used to. Mostly shoot pigeons with it in areas i cant use the 12bore. Shot several bags of over 90 but not hit the magic 100 yet.
Thank you! I use the Eley magnum Subsonic 6 18g fibre and shoot mainly at 25-30 yards. They are a very hard gun to shoot because they are so light and pattern so tight! But keep at it, good luck with the 💯I’m sure you’ll get there! 👍
Another cracking bit of informative and entertaining video as usual. Sorry mate I don’t do anti-social media in any form, but hey if I ever get up to CFS again from Hampshire, I’ll buy a hat, support your cartridge fund and proudly wear your ‘merch’…in an effort to educate the locals down here?!😂😂😂N…… and all this from a ‘gentleman’ i.e. left handed shooter too!
Those young rooks are so thick. I was driving down a lane and 1 was flying at 6ft towards me. It went straight into my windscreen, it won't be learning anything again. Great day👍
@@fieldsportswithspeed is that lead? Because we can't use that in belgium. we can only use steel, bismuth or tungsten. I love to have a 410 and a 28 bore but its very difficult to find cartridge's here.
@@ctom4103 air rifle yes. And i think rifle bullets too. For the moment i think its only cartridge's. And only in flanders and not in Wallonië there the can use and do everything like in england and france. We can only use steel, bismuth and tungsten for hunting and clay shooting. Thats from 2008 so 15 years.
@@ctom4103 that makes it hard to find cartridge's we can use for the 28 and the 410 gauge. and the 24 and the 32 gauge there are no usable cartridge's for. The 16 gauge is also difficult to find in steel and bismuth.
They are normally disposed on the burn pit but if not they are a free meal for the foxes and badgers. That’s interesting, I never knew that. That would be great if we had that!!
The cost of shells are certainly getting an the verge of unaffordable unfortunately. The way I look at it is I don’t go out to the pub drinking at the weekend anymore where I’d normally spend £100 if not more in an evening so the cartridges aren’t too expensive when I look at it that way! Plus I work in the trade which makes it more affordable!!
I have set mine up to the same point of impact as my 12 gauge so it shoots exactly the same. They have a very low comb so my guess is you are missing low.
I do occasionally yes bud. I’ve found if I try to pump it to quick after a shot it will generally not grab the empty I. The chamber! It’s because the crimp melts which is annoying!
@@fieldsportswithspeed I cleaned mine and seen to be better but of a pain the strip down got to take the trigger mechanism out to get the bolt out luckily on here has some strip down and resemblealy video it seems to be ok I’ve not been out with it since as I’ve been busy with work ect I will be going with it soon as one of the keepers want me to shoot some crow when the pulls arrive normally take my franchi or my 20 with me as well
Great video & terrific shooting. A hat would be great, but mate you need sunscreen & a proper hat as you will end up with skin damage or worse especially on your ears & neck (I've already had one cancerous lesion cut out & its very unpleasant). I have a Hushpower & am thinking of the 3 shot .410 or the 20 any thoughts ? I really like the .410 but the cartridges are more expensive than for a 12 gauge.
You are absolutely right Richard, definitely going to make better precautions next time!! I’ve never used a 20 gauge hushpower but I’ve handled them and they are very barrel heavy which I wasn’t overly impressed with.. I’d definitely recommend the 410 hushpower pump as I really enjoyed using it 😁
Thanks bud! The dimensions of the Mossberg pumps are incredibly low in the Comb so they shoot really low.. if you pack out the top of the stock like I did so you can see the top of the moderator down to the bead it should shoot where you are looking and shoot a 60/40 pattern. I’ll shoot a pattern plate on a video soon to show you what I mean 👍
Well shot! Can I ask how many decoys you started with? I’m trying to deal with crows on laid and standing crops at the mo and as you say lots of young un’s but after 2hrs the game up, I’d guess the difference is the moderated .410 your not upsetting them, good work mate!
Thanks bud! I started with 24 decoys but will invest in more in the future as I think a few more will make them more confident. In my opinion it completely depends on the direction of the wind in relation to the flightline of birds. If you can shoot away from where the birds are coming from they will generally keep coming for longer. I’m planning a video on this soon 👍 the 410 hushpower certainly makes a difference as it doesn’t disturb them as much for sure
That’s one hell of a session with a 410 well done👍
Thanks mark! A fantastic day 🔥
Public Enemy Number 1 for crows! Superb shooting. You have a very smooth swing. Perry P., SoCal, USA
Thank you Perry! Glad you enjoyed it👍
Well done Rob, good effort with any calibre never mind the mighty 410 👍
Thanks bud!! It was certainly a challenge with the little 410 but it certainly did the job 👍
Great shooting especially with the 410, really enjoyed it mate, keep them coming please.
Thank you David!! Really appreciate the comment 👍 I’ll do my best to keep them coming 😁
@@fieldsportswithspeed Did you extend the stock at all? they are so short
Absolutely fantastic shooting I would have been proud to do this with a 12 bore let alone a 410 and a pump as well, brilliant.
🤣🤣 thanks for the kind remark! I had some good luck on my side I reckon!
Another great video as always. Love the back drop on the hide aswel lol
Haha! Thanks Tom! Thanks for the comment bud
Best .410 video I've seen so far. Epic shooting

What distance roughly are you shooting? And where did you get your bird cradles? Thanks.
Up to 35 yards approximately but most were around 20 👍 I got these ones from Uk Shootwarehouse online
