Factory Butte Utah, DJI FPV Drone close fly over

Factory Butte is located in central Utah just east of Capitol Reef National Park. It rises up 1600' above the mancos-shale badlands below to an altitude of 6302'. The area is a favorite for both photographers and OHV's. The area is very remote and not heavily visited. Sunrise and sunset can be awesome. Winds can be incredible here also. We experienced a dust storm so bad that at times it blotted out the sun snd pelted our van with sand forcing us to wear our masks inside the van! Gotta love this place though, nature at its best!

So you finally went ! Great flying my friend and the views are just stunning 🤩 I love this place for having been there before…to bad that 4 years ago I didn’t had my Mavic Mini. There’s so many lovely places around …have you been to the overlook which is east of Factory Butte ?

Thanks Serge. This place is made for drones! We did spend the night on Skyline Ridge and I was able to get both sunrise and sunset video from there as well. Still need to edit that video, just incredible beauty of the place. Happy travels!

Yes, I believe it was just over 1000', easily reachable for most drones
