Been flying through your reviews. The quality is much higher than you give yourself credit for and is an outstanding resource to faithful who aren’t immersed in a devout environment through their public life. Thank you!
@@nathanpal8512 Yes, I did!!! I had no problems ordering from Newrome and I got one. When I ordered it they still had them. I've noticed they're out of stock now. Newrome will be releasing the EOB Bible before the end of the year with the EOB New Testament with the Lexham English Septuagint for the OT. It won't be a study Bible like the OSB but it will have all the Greek notations, etc. like the current EOB NT does.
good edition but the zipper is kind of a waste and makes the pages more difficult to turn. I saw a reviewer removed the zipper so I decided to do it myself.. it was kind of difficult but it works better that way imo
Because of this video I bought myself a copy of this truly beautiful New Testament. It is very interesting to contrast this with the King James and the Orthodox New Testement from Holy Apostle Convent\Dormition Skete. Keep making these great reviews. May God continue to Bless you and guide you! Much Love in Christ, Daniel
It’s very expensive for just a NT and the shipping from USA to UK sadly is the same price again so talking $80 so sadly will stick to my Orthodox Study Bible.
@@OrthodoxReview I have originals. I am Greek and every New Testament publication we get has the original ancient text and the "new" greek interpretation. That makes some rather thick "portable" versions. So that was why I wondered if there is a similar publication of only the original text. Maybe it is a cultural thing as the portable Bible is not something all that popular over here.
I had enjoyed your review. It is a beautiful looking New Testament so I bought one thinking it would be a handy pocket New Testament and it is. The zipper is great for a pocket edition. The footnotes are great as you say. Thy type for my aged eyes is a bit small but I understand why. The ribbons are a nice feature, a bit wider and not as long would have been better I think. My main complaint though is with what I read as an awkward translation. I remember now years ago having bought the small paperback version (it was one volume for the four Gospels and second was for the rest of the New Testament. I was so disappointed in the translation that I wrote a review on Amazon stating my disappointment (I gave them away). Just a brief example read Revelations 19 one reads "express adoration" a few times. Awkward and clumsy. There are more examples but I'll leave it here. I again thank for your reviews. May God bless and keep you.
As a collector, I felt compelled to get it. If it's the translation alone that you're after, there's another version. And I will say again, this is the finest translation I've read.
Just got one sent to me for my birthday. It's absolutely wonderful

This is about the 10th video of yours I've watched in a row. You've convinced me that I need to buy this EOB.
Wow! Glory to God!
Have you been able to get one? This particular bible has not been available for a long time now.

Are they going to do this for the old testament
Unfortunately they started it but gave up and abandoned the project
Gotta love the marbled, glossy endpapers -- my inner (former) bookbinder is doing a happy dance! 🤗
Newrome is classy like that.
I definitely gotta get me one of those. Thanks brother (to be)
Just received my copy in mail because of this review :)
Expressive hands. 🙏

Thank you so much for your kind words and prayers! And, thank God, glory to Him for all things!
Which do you think is better?
Had no idea you did this on your phone. I figured you had a pro setup!
Hey , love your videos man God bless. ☦❤
Thanks!
Love these videos! Greetings from the UK!!
That’s lovely!
we NEED an EOB Old Testament! ..
Newrome is working on it
Great video. Could you review the leatherback version of the Ancient Faith Prayerbook? Thank you
Yep. It's in the queue.
@@OrthodoxReview Awesome!
Do you think it might be possible to remove the zipper without causing any damage to the book? I like everything about it, minus the zipper.
Hrrrr... you could try?
@@OrthodoxReview Is it sewn in? Any glue involved?
The zipper is sewn, so as long as you re stitch it, it should be okay.
My buddy Will/Bssil just cut his at the cloth, and it worked out just fine.
Where do you get those beautiful icons in the beginning of the video? Also, SUBSCRIBED! Thanks for the great content.
My sister got it for me at the Saint Photius shrine in st Petersburg, Florida several years ago. You can find them on may orthodox websites.

Your videos good .
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the good review. Are the footnotes abbreviated from the larger edition or the same? Thanks.
The same. Just tiny. Very tiny.
@@OrthodoxReview Thank you.
Any idea where I can get one? I have been searching the net cannot find any 😢
Check back with Newrome Press, they'll have them back in stock eventually.
St tikhon's book store has them in stock
Great review. Looking for a similar publication of the original text. Not gonna happen I guess...
Check out the previous video, there's a link to purchase the original on there.

@@2yf understood. I'll see if I can find something that meets those criteria.
Wait what!? You do this all on your phone?
Yup, still do.
