    Yeah guys!
    Here it is! The super easy DIY^ rotating E-POWER pizza stone HACK for almost any Ooni, Roccbox, Pizzaparty, ALFA FORNI pizza oven out there. I can tell you, this is the peak of my pizza experience - a dream come true! JUST DO NOT BUY ANY OF THE ROTATING STONES THAT SOME PEOPLE HERE WANT TO SELL FROM ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD- All you need is a motor scewer from your home depot like this one here
    www.amazon.com... or this one
    www.obi.at/gri...
    an iron drill, a round pizza stone (mine was just 10 bucks or so) and a little bit of DIY skills with your tools :) and you'll get the best pizza with no effort or risk to crack the pizza floor or get a mess on the stone that you cannot remove anymore. You'll get the best consistent heat delivery on your stone since it constantly rotates and therefore a super even cook on the bottom and on the crust! No more burnt Ooni Koda 16 Pizza quarters due to the super inconsistent heat delivery of this factory stone!
    This works for the Ooni Karu, Koda, Koda 16, Ooni 3, Ooni Pro, ALFA FORNI ALFA one, 5 Minuti, 4 Pizze (...), Pizzaparty Ardore (and many more), Roccbox if you manage to get the stone out, and basically any simple pizza oven made of stainless steel like these I mentioned!
    Check out my manual rotary table HACK for all these ovens as well if you do not want to drill a hole in your oven :)
    • Spinning Pizza Margari...
    Get to the next level of your pizza experience and try this hack - you'll still be able to use your oven the same way as before the hack. But be sure to know what you do, YOU'll LOSE THE WARRANTY OF YOUR OVEN, WHEN YOU DRILL HOLES IN IT - this little hole actually does not effect the cooking experience at all - there are some holes in the Koda 16 right out of the factory (e.g. to lift the stone). So have fun and enjoy this hack! LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE THIS CHANNEL!

      hinzes'news quick question. I often freeze dough for easy use during weekdays for my son.
      When would one freeze these during this process? Immediately after creating the 240g balls before they ferment?
      After a 4-6 hour ferment? After the 24hr ferment?
      Thank you Sir.

    I might try this on my Uuni 2S since it's well out of warranty. This is a smart idea that they could easily implement by manufacturing it with the hole already on the bottom and selling a rotating kit add-on.

    I'm thinking of doing similarly with my Koda 16 but I want to point out that I have seen a couple of others who appear to have made the hole, if not the center, really close to the center. For one of them, the stone that was used appeared to be at least 39cm(15.5"). Maybe even 40cm(16").

      @@hinze55555 Are you a Facebook member of the Ooni Koda 16 group? That is where I saw the one that I mentioned above. So I cannot provide a link to that. It's a very short video. I did ask if he can show us what he did exactly but he has not responded yet. From what I can see, it appears like he drilled a hole just before that plastic that covers/protects the gas line.

      Here is a link to another one (not the one that I mentioned above that has a pizza stone of about 40cm) which seems like they made the hole close to the center but just before the plastic gas line protector. Pizza stone is smaller on this. If you look at the Rotisserie motor it appears to be held by 4 screws which can be seen in the video. ua-cam.com/video/f8igqJEvkD4/v-deo.html

    Hi Hinze! Me again! Love your pizza videos! Hey I bought a rotisserie motor with everything included. My question to you is, I noticed that the forks that come with it have two long prongs and two shorter prongs. Is this going to be a problem? To hold the pizza stone? I don’t want to bend the prongs until I hear back from you because I’m worried that this type of meat fork won’t work? I want to do it like you did. Thank you!!

    • @hinze55555
      @hinze55555  3 роки тому +1

      Hey Jim! Depending on the length of the short prongs I would say that it is better when all four prongs have the same length so you maybe cut the longer prongs to the length of the shorter ones - But don’t worry! You can bend these things up and down and nothing will happen! Just make sure that the four prongs are level and you find The sweet spot to position them on the stone. If you find the stone is wobbling you could maybe carve Little cuts into it wher the prongs touch it on the right spot ...
      Just make sure that your measurements are correct before you start 😉 also, there are some separate meat forks available if yours don’t work!

    hey great hack I was wondering if Ooni were gonna make one for the Koda, just a thought though what if you could cut / grind a hole in the original 16 stone the same diameter as your round stone then it'll look a lot better and you can still use it as an oven 😃

    • @hinze55555
      @hinze55555  4 роки тому

      Yeah - great idea!!! It's a little tricky though... The surface under the stone (the oven shell) is not flat and you need to set the hacked stone a litte higher as the original that it can rotate... You would have a "bump" in the stone then.. but one great thought for this hack!

    Unneeded equipment. What's the hype with having a pizza rotor added to an Ooni pizza oven and wasting money. Just rotate the pizza manually a couple of times inside the oven and it's fun. The pizza in an Ooni oven takes less than 90 seconds to be done. It takes more time to set up the rotator than rotate the pizza manually with a pizza peel.

    I think a great DIY mod would be a hopper for the Ooni karu, the hopper could hold pellets or even lengths of wood that self feed as the bottom tips combust in the chamber, making refuelling much easier and less frequent

    I see that your video is dated May 28, 2020, it is now Aug. 21. How is your system holding up? In particular, I am curious if the motor needs a thrust bearing to carry the weight of the stone and friction over time. Since the motor is designed to be used in a horizontal positon I am curious if this is an issue.

During this time and watching your fantastic videos, I'm now rethinking about the pro. I'm sure I'll be happy with either but something is also telling me they will probably make a Karu 16 in the not too distant further making it even more confusing! Lol.. Any thoughts?

I think you do not go wrong with either one or the other! the wood fired option is one I just do not use anymore since I have the gas - Just do not think about it too much - go for the one you can get and you'll have great pizza with a little practice out of both units! I think may be the bigger space in the pro makes it a little easier to handle becouse in the koda 16 the stone sits right at the left end as you can see - I'll try one in the next few days and let you know! but if you can get some one in the meanwhile - just go for it! Did you just scrape off the plastic cover on the bottom for mounting?

    • @hinze55555
      @hinze55555  3 роки тому

      Hey Max! Not quite sure what you mean but there was not plastic cover on my oven. There is a tube, where the gas flow cables go through and I did not touch this one because I did not want them to lay around so I just drilled a whole next to the gas tube... we can proceed in german in case you prefer it! so we can get to the bottom of your question ! regards, hinze

      Super :) Unten drunter ist so eine Plastikabdeckung die Probleme machen könnte. Ich habe nämlich das Kit aus der Uuni Hack Gruppe bestellt und das Loch für die fest verbaute Version muss 35mm sein. Ggf. bekommt man da Platzprobleme. War da noch viel "Luft" bei deinem Loch um ein größeres zu bohren?

    Just wanna come back at you.
    I did some more testing with my Koda 16. Pro tip.
    Get some
    aluminum foil and cover a few cm of the top part of the oven. It acts like a small flame guard or door and keeps A LOT of heat left inside. I made pizzas in 40 seconds lol. Crazy hot.

    • @hinze55555

      Hey adam! Just an iron saw! It’s quite „soft“, an angle grinder (often refered to as a “flex” here)will do the job as well! 👍

    • @hinze55555
      @hinze55555  3 роки тому

      Hallo Michele! In der Beschreibung von dem Video sind die Links für die Produkte enthalten! Es ist eigentlich nur ein Motor für einen Grill, den es in jedem Baumarkt eigentlich gibt… Dazu nimmst du einfach die Fleischgabel die meistens auch im Set dabei ist!!! Wenn das in deinem Land nicht verfügbar ist… Suche einfach nach BBQ Motor oder Rotessiere dann wirst du bestimmt fündig!

    • @hinze55555
      @hinze55555  3 роки тому

      Wenn du es nicht selbst bauen möchtest, kannst du es glaube ich in China bestellen… Dort verkauft jemand ein ähnliches System… Suche einmal nach allchinas.com dort musst du aber zoll Umsatzsteuer und Versand bei der Einfuhr bezahlen!!! Also vorsichtig besser im Baumarkt die Rotessiere suchen ... funktioniert top!
