Suppose if i want to schedule emergency and critical patches only and it should be n-1th level in a Linux VM.Will update management support this scenario?
Hello There. Under windows vm there is a option for Guest +host updates which should take you to the Update management blade? Also have you installed both the log analytics agent as well as the hybrid worker agent on the windows machine? Thanks
You were trying to set the schedule on the same date in the past 4 hours which was 6:00am - your current time was 10:30am, which is why you were getting that error.
Can I deploy the same security update patches to for example a test environment, quality & production, but on a different day? e.g: on day 1 the patch with update 1.0 to test, day 7 to quality, day 21 to production. Even if their is a new update on day 15, production should receive same updates as test environment (day 1).
Good information. Can i scheduled patch update for every 90 days with weekends to avoid the impact
Ya..should be.
Create a patching policy

There are many ways...depends on if you want to centrally manage updates or want owners of VM to take of patch management

Very good observation. Thanks.

Hi there! Can Azure Patch/Update Management be applied to non-virtual machines? Thank you! Great video btw.
Yes..I don't see why not. Install MMA to your regular OS and give it a try.
Microsoft Monitoring Agent
