@@Mr_Matt_Lee go for it.. Coz that's a good opportunity in marketing. Plus haven't seen anyone else who has taken that route in ram blanding... Bt i stand to be collected
I’m curious, a lot of UA-cam PC builders say it is better to use use 2 sticks of memory (say, 2x16GB) rather than 4 sticks (4x8GB) of memory. What’s your theory on this? Also, in your airflow visualization, I didn’t see any impact from your top mounted PSU. Does it push outward as well?
Great questions! Interestingly I find zero difference using 2x16GB vs 4x8GB. I’ve built and tested SO many PC’s and in real world usage you’d literally never notice. Sure, when they’re running specific benchmarks a specific configuration may show slightly better results but really, I haven’t found either way a problem. It’s more about your speed and size than it is the quantity of sticks ☺️ also, for the PSU.. it’s actually very good for airflow. Sadly the visualisation didn’t show how it worked because the PSU has zero fan RPM mode and even though I was running a benchmark in the background, the power supply still didn’t spin up so I can only assume it was being quite well passively cooled! With that said, for future PSU installations like this, I’ll use some dedicated PSU stress test software to make sure it does give a better visual ☺️
Delicious build. Mr Matt, did you have any strugles with the cable managment. Many reviwers complain about lack of space and bulging of the panel where the cables are routed.
Awesome video! Very detailed, i learned a lot. I have been thinking about copying your build, but im worried about temps about the i7-13700k being air cooled. Can you please upload temp tests?
Dunno if you are still interested but I'm air cooling an 13700k in a full size torrent with a deepcool AK620. While running CPU all out it will throttle without undervolting (hitting 100C), with undervolt it drops down to 95ish (-.065V). I'm not interested in overclocking and undervolting is fairly simple (though I still have to find where to do it in the bios as opposed to XTU) and in 'regular' use temps are more like 50-70C. The only time I come close to maxing out the CPU is while rendering video
Thank you bud ☺️ appreciate that. I didn’t initially plan to have another video today, but I feel like December needs lots of awesomeness. It’s the time of year after all 🫶
Thanks friend! Didn’t fit bottom fans because then build simply didn’t need it. That huge fan at the bottom front pushes that much air under the GPU that you’d simply be adding bottom fans for the sake of it. Bottom fans attract dust, so if they are not needed, don’t bother 🤷🏻♂️
@@Games_and_Tech Case is airflow optimized and does that with flying colors. The fan for the PSU is an intake fan, so it pulls air through the PSU and dumps it out the vent on the back of the PSU where you plug the power cable into. A good quality PSU will be completely fine with this, even if you're hammering your CPU with something like OCCT, as I've pretty much never seen my HX1000i break past 45C when it's rated for _50C_ during continuous operation and is designed to withstand temperatures more than _double_ that (though it'll start to deliver less power).
