@@michellegarry1872 I waited 5 months for mine . I got lucky and ordered it before all the big price increases! I really like the Casita . A upgrade from a tent camping for 50 years. You will like it !
I noticed you only chocked the rear side of the wheels. I would strongly advise chocking the front side too. I one time forgot to chock the wheels & had the trailer roll forward toward my truck. Luckily there was no damage on either the truck or the trailer. I'll probably never forget the chocks again now.
Thanks for the comment. The campsite had a very steep downgrade to the rear of the trailer so I only needed to chock the rear. If the site is near level I always chock the front and rear.
Taking our "new-to-us" Casita out for the 4th of July weekend. This was sooo helpful. Is there anything to know about the fridge BEFORE we leave home, then when we get to the campsite. Put on Propane when leaving campsite (got that from the video). Thanks, Gerry in S. Oregon
Congrats on the trailer. The refrigerator operations are pretty simple but there is some controversy on operations. If you are in a campsite with electrical hook-ups then use AC to run your refrigerator. If you are in a campsite with no electricity then use GAS to run your refrigerator. The controversy comes for when you are traveling. Depending on who you talk to some will tell you to use GAS and some will tell you to DC. We did use gas for numerous years but have decided to change over and only use DC when we are traveling. The advantage to using GAS is that it uses less battery. The bad part about using GAS is that is has an open flame in the back of the refrigerator. After we attended the National RV Training Academy and looking at the pros and cons of operating with gas while we are traveling we decided that operating on DC was our best option. I would rather error on the side of caution. All of our future videos will follow this new philosophy. I hope this helps.

Hello. I’m curious about something. You drained the black tank before leaving. Does it not stay open when connected to sewage. I have never dealt with a camper that has a bathroom. So, I had to ask.
Leave your tank’s closed. Only empty when leaving or full. This keeps solids from building up. Also make sure you add a black tank treatment after dumping.
We have two 10 foot sewer hoses and usually only need one of them. They've worked great. I mounted two Valterra sewer hose carriers underneath, one each side of the scissor jacks, by bolting aluminum angles into the spare holes on the scissor jack mounting plates. No drilling into the camper was necessary.
Question..When you’re readying to leave your RV site is it okay to clean your black water tank through rinsing it out right there at your site while being hooked up?..such as we have the blaster hook up to clean the black tank..is it okay to use on site or is advised to use a dump station instead?
@@CasitaRvLife Thank you so much and will do..We’re picking up our Casita in a month here and will be pretty green here..So time for the reality check!
I have talked to RV experts about this question and have received numerous different answers. Some tell me yes and some tell me no. Hi, just curious. Shouldn’t the refrigerator be on DC when traveling home, not propane? We are new to having a trailer and have not taken ours out yet. ? 😊
I have travel both ways. The refrigerator on DC and on propane. The DC mode uses a lot of power when it is hot. I called the refrigerator manufacture they stated it was okay to travel with it in DC or propane. Remember you will need to turn it off before fueling your tow vehicle and prior to entering a tunnel. I have spent a lot of time researching this and the RV community is split on this question. My son and brother's RV's only have AC and Propane. They do not have DC mode. It is a personal decisions that you will have to make.

Yes, the trailer has to be connected to shore power.

What length sewer hose support do you recommend? 10, 15, or 20 feet?

Two 10 foot hoses will give you more flexibility
