I remember hearing this music for the very first time. I had just made my way back to the mansion's tool shed all the way from the guardhouse with the recently acquired Helmet Key in my possession. I took the single door out of the shed and back up the mansion's back path towards the rear entrance to the mansion. After going through the door, I started to head back down the hall as I was eager to see what lay behind the locked doors that needed the Helmet Key to open them. However, no sooner as I ran five paces forward, a cutscene showed something running across the lower courtyard before it leapt up the elevator shaft, ran down the garden, ran through the shed, opened the next door and ran up the back path of the mansion. Then it placed one claw on the handle of the metal door to the hallway where I was located. I was playing as Jill and watched, intrigued yet slightly disturbed, as the back door was heard opening and then closing. Jill turned around and I was greeted with the scene of a large, green reptile-like mutant with razor sharp claws walking slowly and calmly, yet threateningly towards the camera. This monster (which I later discovered was called a hunter) then broke out into a quick run and slashed at me with its left claw. I knew then that there certainly wasn't anything friendly about this new creature and fired an Acid Round into its face. The hunter then let out a horrifying shriek of agony and collapsed forward onto the floor, dead. I was left very uneasy by this new encounter but thought that this hunter was just a one-off and subsequently thought nothing more of it. I used the Helmet Key on the nearby brown door and found some useful items in this room. As I went back to the hallway outside the storage room, however, this music started playing. I knew then that I was in a totally different situation to earlier on in the game when the main enemies in the mansion were zombies. I heard a "tic... tic... tic..." sound and pointed my gun down the hallway. To my surprise, another hunter came into view and I took it out like the first one. I then saw a note on the wall outside the storage room. The note was written by Barry, stating that he had left some extra ammunition for me in case of trouble. Then everything started to make sense for the worse... The two hunters, this new music and the extra ammunition... Could there be hunters in unexpected areas of the mansion? As I went upstairs to the hallway above the storage room, I saw that two more hunters were lurking up here as well. Then what I was dreading had been realised: All of the zombies had been replaced by hunters. Resident Evil had just got tough...
