Because people have their own judgment with so much information available online, unlike in America, where people don't care about China, let alone look for more information about it...
@chokwoo5720 no, I believe in China most people are very economical dividend rather than political ideology, Don't get me wrong there are people who are political driven but majority of the people concerned about economical rather than political.
The current situation of China has grown too fast, too good, too developed, too rich, too advanced and all these achievements have made too many people jealous and suffering from an inferior complex.
When China was poor and backward, they mocked China all day long. Now, they panic and hate China from the bottom of their heart. They just refuse to admit the racism and superior of white in their heart is an illusion.
@@koschmx I think you are right on this about the people in general. You haven't paid much attention to Fox or Sky News then. Do explain the rise of crimes and murders of Asians people after covid? By the way I'm an American living in the USA.
The US government doesn't say they h8 you. It just puts tons of sanctions on any country they don't like, has military drills and military bases outside your border before it starts invasion and overthrows the government it doesn't like, if it can. I am sure that's how the things are handled in the US when they are "skeptical" about them.
1.poverty. last year, i watched a chinese travel vlogger's video about an extremely dilapidated house and a young single mother who struggled to live there. this video became an instant hit here and in china. he asked viewers to help this poor mother. later, it was exposed by other Chinese bloggers that this single mother had moved to a new house built by the local govt and the house he showed was her old house, it was his scam to get money from sympathetic viewers. 2. religion, the Chinese govt does crackdown on religious cults, a few years ago, there was a Christian religious cult with more than one million members and some members were starting to do crazy things like those in north America. there was a swift crackdown and this cult was banned. i wish USA and Canada would do the same thing with some of the cults here. love from canada.
Yes, there are scams and crackdowns, but like you said most countries will crackdown on scammers and cult activity. The government is sensitive about large groups of people engaging in activities, especially if it is not run by the state. A million people doing anything against the state would be a headache to deal with, especially if it fueled others to join or act against the state. That is why Xinjiang was put under strict surveillance, because there was attacks there.
Wow! I agree 1000% I'm American and lived in China for 15 years (Guangzhou and Shenzhen area). - Eating cats/dogs is extremely rare. Chinese love their pets and nearly everyone dislikes the practice. During my time in China, I saw one shop in a very remote village selling dog meat and one restaurant that I think had cats. Everyone knew about cat hot pot in Guangdong, but I never saw it on a menu or ate cat or dog. Or bat, rat, or monkey. Donkey, cicada (roasted), goose foot, snake, sea urchin, and some organs that I've never eaten elsewhere... yes. - We can debate socialism vs communism, true democracy vs republic, free markey vs central planned economy...... On the streets, China is an entrepreneurial free market! There may be some echoes of communism in government doctrine and literature and the CCP control of major industries (energy, finance) but it's way, way easier to start and operate a business in China vs the USA! On a day to day basis, Chinese give little thought to the form of government. What's the price of pork today? - Similarly with the legal system. There is a judicial system and laws concerning business and labor, but it's better to have a social relationship with anyone you're going to do business with. - China has a large middle class. It provides the fuel to run the economy. Absolute wages are low, but the cost of living is very low. There's still a lot of "poverty' in the rural villages, but rice is cheap and you can grow vegetables, chickens and pigs, fish, so there isn't famine and hunger (starvation!) like in the bad old days. Inexpensive healthy food and good nutrition is the norm in China. $500/month is a living wage in China. I paid $200 for rent and utilities on $2000 salary. Can't find a job in the city? You can always go back to the hometown for a meal and a place to stay. The top tier cities? OMG! Beyond modern! Transportation is SO convenient! Bus, subway, ride sharing, high speed rail, flights. Mind boggling! And WeChat for paying everything by phone. Every shop and street vendor has QR codes. Mobile payments for everything. The last 5 years in China I never used cash or credit cards. - There were 2 churches, Catholic and Anglican, near where I lived that had regular services and I knew Chinese Christians and Muslims. Religion is not a major part of daily life for most Chinese. Buddhism is the major faith and there are temples everywhere. Many people would burn incense, bow, make offerings but it was more for holidays and special events. It never seemed to be a big part of daily life. I didn't go to Xinjiang or Tibet or pry into the personal lives of Christians, Uyghurs, Muslims, or Buddhist monks that I met so I can't speak to any religious or cultural persecutions. The CCP is REALLY concerned with any disruption to social order (note 1.4 billion people and the entire history of China in the last century). So don't hand out Bibles on the streets or sell weed.
In fact, Chinese people aren't much interested in religion and politics. I think essentially we're quite similar to Elon Musk. We focus on working, living, and then developing technologies that can send us to Mars, leading humanity into a new era! Hahahahaha
You are quite right disruptions to social order are not tolerated. However, it is not the CPC that has concern about it. It is the Government that is concerned. When you say the CPC is concerned, it is equivalent to syaing in the US that the Republican/Democratic party is concerned about whatever. And the Government is concerned about disruptions to social order not for itself, but for the people, its citizens, because disruptions affect the lives of the people.
"They eat cats and dogs" Is like saying that Americans eat squirrels and raccoons. Sure, some people in the US have historically hunted those animals for food, but you can't go to a grocery store or restaurant today and order grilled squirrels.
@@stephendaley266 It is true in some Asian countries like China and Korea, people eats dogs because they have a long history of warfare and suffering . Food is scarce especially during winter times and even normal times. They eat dogs to keep themselves warm and restore their body. So over the long years, people eats dogs from time to time and become part of a habit. But as modern times arrive, rights of human and animal species become a hot topic, China was not spared from adhering to international norms . So over the recent years , dog eating has become lesser as Govt crackdown on these undesirable eating habits.
You dont need to ask, it's clear that to their hegemonic dominating mind they are jealous that an Asian country can beat them fair and square so they cheated to get their win again
The Communist government is a system where the government works for the citizens and the citizens have a say more than we do in the US from the grassroots level on up. They have the right to travel as US citizens do. Freedom of safety not worrying about being attacked or shot or robbed.

Simply put. Rubbish. Please explain the Tiananmein massacre. Please explain the shutdown of Google and UA-cam in China. Please explain the repression of the opposition in Hong Kong. That will do.
I lived in China for 10 years. From my observation, the Chinese Communist Party does NOT work for its people only for itself. Don't buy into the Communist propaganda, things are not that amazing in the Middle Kingdom.
China is ruled by the CPC, but in the way the country is run is eclectic and pragmatic. Where a problem needs socialist approach, then collectivism is used. Where it needs private capital and individual entrepreneurship, then individualism is encouraged. That's what's called "with a Chinese face".
In fact, as a Chinese person, I don't care what type of government my country has. What matters is that it has truly made our lives better. I'm also curious about why foreigners, like Americans, care about this. We ourselves don't even care. Haha.
A movie producer can influence half of the country to hate another country, religion or race simply by making up shit and dramatize it. More results if he added "based on true story". We are so easily deceived it's pathetic...

By the way, before 90s, there was no armed Police force in China. When large violent incident occurred, the government had to use military armed force to deal with it. Nowadays, common police officers in China are still not equipped with firearms. But they do have a special anti-violence police force with equipment similar to US police.
They keep talking about human rights in the west, but most of them don’t even have a right to protect himself from body damage. That’s a shame for irresponsible government so don’t preach other country in the world about human rights. Well, they don’t even have a basic human rights of their own.

My biggest concern is how we are going to survive all these financial and political crises, especially the power struggle in the US. The government has really made things difficult for its citizens and we cannot just sit by and suffer the consequences of bad governance🙏...
In fact, the countries that really eat cats and dogs are South Korea and Vietnam. As a Chinese, it is really hard for me to see people eating cats and dogs. However, China is a big country, bigger than Europe. There is indeed a place where dogs are eaten, and that place is close to Vietnam. Yulin, Guangxi, other Chinese people basically don’t eat cats and dogs.

There was a famous singer in China. His house was to be demolished. He asked the government for a huge amount of money, but the government did not agree. After his neighbors moved away, he complained online that the Chinese government was going to demolish his house. In fact, his house was preserved, but the area had become a ghost town. Because of my job, I often go to the countryside to do charity. The government gives free money to farmers whose houses were damaged by mudslides, so that they can rebuild their own houses. Some villagers were not satisfied with the compensation, so they stopped us and beat us when we went to the countryside. To be honest, the government doesn't need to subsidize these compensations because they didn't buy any insurance. They feel that the whole world has let them down, and people are greedy. In this world, many people are ridiculous, including many Chinese.
A crematorium was built near his house. This was in the original plan. This crematorium would have been far from any residential area if his house had been demolished as planned. Chinese government tend to carry on the original plan with minor modifications if possible. In another project, an entire village objected to the route of a major road, and the road had to be re-routed to another village several kilometers away. The villagers in the first village soon regretted it. The villagers in the second village moved to new houses and the new village was directly connected to the new road.
At some point in every widespread famine, people have resorted to eating pets. It happened in Russia, Ukraine, Ireland, Ethiopia, and everywhere else people have suffered famine. This is likely how China got labelled in this way. China has had more than her share of hunger.
All the myths about China would have to be the most super annoying myths of all time. Easily!!! Makes one cringe like no tomorrow. Your theory doesn't hold up. China has always had one-party rule, with only the Communist Party of China as the ruling party. This meant that the only people who wanted to participate in political decisions were Communist Party members. Such a system will have many problems, but there is no perfect political party in the world, and such a system also has many advantages. China's top managers all have more than 30 years of ruling experience, and have experience in managing the livelihood of more than 200 million people. American exceptionalism is an outdated concept for quite some time but the media keeps it alive. Where our democratic way is heading, I don't blame the Chinese for not following inour footsteps.
As for "Socialism with 'Chinese Characteristics,'" they do seem to take that quite seriously; it's just that they recognize (as did Marx and Engel, actually) that capitalism is unrivalled for production and productivity -- and what China needs for various reasons is production and productivity. Basically, economic development comes first at all costs because there's nothing else to talk about if you're starving and poor...this is very muchin keeping with Chinese history and its cultural heritage; the people must eat, and then eat well; they must be clothed, snd well-clothed; there must be security from crime, security from foreign interference, including economic interference; the people muat be motivated to excel, which naturally results in insane levels of competition in a country with close to a billion and a half souls.... In short, the vast scales involved when it comes to China requires creativity and flexibility but it also requires the wisdom of a steady hand -- seemingly at odds and why it's impossible to neatly pigeon-hole China into clean easy categories!!
Most westerners don't understand that a Marxist idea of Communism is just the capitalist means of production without the profit motive. Under communism, workers perform the same labor as under Capitalism, but the fruits of that labor are shared among the workers and the larger community instead of enriching stockholders and owners.

Gosh one thing os clear to Me. Americans NEED TO TRAVEL. There is a humungous world out there, waiting for you to discover🙄🙄🙄. On more than a few occasions when i was visiting the US, I encountered the phrase the US is the 'best Country on earth' why would i need to Travel..😯😯😯😯
The Western propaganda machine really did a number on most Westerners. My recent encounter reinforced my views. Not everyone who visits China really sees China and becomes more understanding. The seeing is believing analogy doesn't always work for people who have been deeply brainwashed by the Western propaganda machine since birth; they have deep-seated prejudice towards China. Example: the travel vlogger Where's Michael? (@wheres.michael) the partner of travel vlogger Josie lifts things. He didn't like my comment about Western propaganda, so we began arguing, and in those back-and-forth arguments, he finally showed his real views about China. Here's some of his appalling replies: "The rest of the China vloggers might be too dumb to see it but I see exactly what you little bot boys do. Get a life. I can pick you from a mile away. Every single argument is the same - same keywords, same lines, same shit. China is a good country that is serving its people well and growing quickly - also deeply flawed and has immense social problems, like a lack of humanity or care for others. Not to mention wanting to be a developed country but having no animal rights laws? You can abuse animals in China - even domesticated ones - and it’s legal! How barbaric. Fuck outta here. Waste of space bot boy. I’m going to censor you so you can’t comment. I’m sure you’re more than ok with suppression of speech." This is how prejudiced, ignorant, and little he thinks of China and its governance system. And yet, he shamelessly uses the China travel popularity for clicks on his YT channel. It just goes to show that some people are so brainwashed that there's no way to wake them up. No wonder the latest PEW report had 85% of Australians view China negatively. Chinese are too kind and naive to treat these Westerners like real friends when these people are just greedy and selfish opportunists who deep down have no respect and even despise China. China deserves better!

The biggest irony is they say this while they arrest, assault, and blacklist people for protesting against western backed genocide in Palestine. For reference, more students were arrested by US police in a few weeks for demanding their universities, which they pay tens of thousands of dollars a year for, not invest in companies murdering children than the Hong Kong rioters in months.
China changed extremely fast in the past ~20 years, it in fact changed even faster than people’s opinion could. It’s understandable people misunderstood the country.

Regarding communism and socialism, the real myth is that its defined as state control, opposed to capitalism, self defined as "free" market and "small" government. Thats de origin of all misunderstanding. But the soviets gave enormous conttibution to this confusion. Soviet socialism is not the only socialism. Theres a thing called market socialism. Labor rights sounds like Denmark.. but we are little more extreme in the rights.. so you can't ask the if they are pregnant and denied them jobs... and if you do, you company will get ban for some years on the employee market.
I would describe Chinese society not as communist but rather as authoritarian. Basically you can indulge in pretty much any behaviour considered socially acceptable so long as you don't threaten government control or attempt to avoid taxes.
yea that's fairly accurate, there is a process if you have issues with the gov't, they take complaints annually and tries to solve those complaints and they are obligated to answer these complaints from the people. If you go to a country just to screw around and threaten their gov't, no country likes that. In the US they probably just abduct you and make you disappear lol
Its funny people talk about Chinese eating cats and dogs. I'm not saying there aren't some people who do. The only people I have met who have ever eaten dogs did so in Korea.
Americans are obsessed over ideology. Asians do things very differently. Instead of caring about what others think of us, we make decisions based on what works best for us, both in the short and long term. It's not difficult to understand the system in china. Capitalistic markets are proven to be beneficial to the economy. So china does it. Political stability is proven to allow the country to adopt a strategy that pays off in the longer term, so they are a single party state.

Re: human rights and workers' rights. The USA is hardly one to speak about this. The USA has a poor track record of human rights and workers' rights, too. There are many incidents of migrant labor exploitation. There are many incidents of the mistreatment of illegal immigrants. There are many incidents of systemic racism (e.g., "I can't breathe"). There are many incidents of forced prison labor. There are millions of Americans who are denied affordable health care, which is considered a universal human right; many of them go bankrupt over medical bills, or outright die from neglect! 7:20 Well, as a Chinese, I need to comment on the issue of "forced labor of prisoners". In fact, it is an idea rooted deeply in the Chinese culture, as well as in Socialism/Communism, that one needs to work for one's life. Living on social benefits while you can work is considered as disrespectable. With this idea, very naturally the prisoners will be asked to work (if they physically can) and the prisoners actually get PAID for their work, although the salary is not very competitive for understandable reasons. Besides, there are also classes, libraries, and other activities in China's prison. Working is only part of their enclosed life.
Basically, China is a new power who learned a lot from European countries, from Soviet Union and from US and now it is moving towards its own direction. Government structure and ideology are learned from Soviet Union, welfare system is learedn from Europe and Soviet Union, capitalism and city-planning is learned from US. I suppose for any wersterners or Korean/Japanese people who go to China will face some similarities there.
China's religious restrictions are aimed at emerging religions. You know what most emerging religions are. As for normal Christianity, Islam and Buddhism, they have spread in China for hundreds or even thousands of years, and there is no reason to restrict them.
I remember Paul Newman playing in a movie as a white boy grew up with Indians and told the white “ladies” in the stagecoach that they would eat dog too if they got really hungry!!

@@TripBitten Excellent succinct summary of modern China.
One thing I noticed for sure when I was in China not so much of anti-america as much as American anti-china.
US is so irrelevant that no one bothered with US
Just think about what the government is feeding the citizens to gain votes!
Because people have their own judgment with so much information available online, unlike in America, where people don't care about China, let alone look for more information about it...
Why bother? Only the weaker will be afraid
@chokwoo5720 no, I believe in China most people are very economical dividend rather than political ideology, Don't get me wrong there are people who are political driven but majority of the people concerned about economical rather than political.
They never hated China as much as such current situation when China was poor and obsoleted
As long as China stayed poor and under the collective west's control.
USA have plenty of Pastors scamming people of their hard earned money, and the govt do nothing about it. Also the scams are tax free!

It’s so true .
It’s so true
@IndyBoater55 It's a good thing that the CPC controls certain industries so as to avoid monopoly!
"They eat cats and dogs"
Is like saying that Americans eat squirrels and raccoons.
Sure, some people in the US have historically hunted those animals for food, but you can't go to a grocery store or restaurant today and order grilled squirrels.
there are five dog meat resturants in my district. You are saying foolish things

You have to ask why the Govt lies about China? What motives or agenda do they have? Who sponsor the news or reports? That will answer many questions.
You dont need to ask, it's clear that to their hegemonic dominating mind they are jealous that an Asian country can beat them fair and square so they cheated to get their win again
Clever
Hegemon must do hegemonic things.

Thank you for this very informative video
👌🏻 Love your candid views and comments. You earned the Rights to comment the life in China, unlike other Western commentators who never set foot in China. Shame on them!
I believe you.
Thank you very much/
American exceptionalism is an outdated concept for quite some time but the media keeps it alive. Where our democratic way is heading, I don't blame the Chinese for not following inour footsteps.
Ye, good choice as it can keep the world. Peace
They should not ask women if they are pregnant. They need to improve more. I left China in 2013. I hope many things have changed and improved since . China is a very nice place to live. People are super friendly, and you never get bored in China. Great Nation.
100%
So true!
There are Chinese people who feel the same.
You are the one who is telling what real China is. Thanks
Thank you, that was very interesting!
Excellent balanced view 👌 👍
Thanks for sharing your experience. The problem is that in United States, most people would rather believe in fabrication than truth, willingly.
Dog meat and cat meat are expensive, and are obsolete in most of China, only small parts and small number of people eat those meat in China.
I viewed all of your videos. Love them. ❤
Amazing video. Keep up the good work. Support
China's current visa-free entry policy hopefully will help de-mystify these kinds of myths about China. Seeing is believing.
I’m sure you’re more than ok with suppression of speech."
This is how prejudiced, ignorant, and little he thinks of China and its governance system.
You are given a choice to board one of 2 ships on a journey across the pacific.
1) the captain and chief mate are elected by the qualified sailors and seaman among a group of high ranking sailors with years of experience.
2) The captain and chief mate are elected by the passengers among the passengers, including comedian, right before the ship set sails.
Yeah i always questions about election cause why dont we get to elect our trusted person to do operation when we need one. It's not the thurst issue but requirements of professionalism as top leaders in nations. Crowds do love actors and clown but is it the best system for country ? I doubt it.
#2 also the passengers that get onboarded illegally without permission, but somehow get stayed for long enough to vote 😊
Ive also lived in china and agree with it being capitalist.
As far as China’s economy is structured, they are not capitalist. They are socialist with markets.
Fiscally Capitalist, socially communist... so to speak?
中国不是完全的资本主义,也不是完全的共产主义。政府会允许私有经济发展,但是不允许私有经济成为控制政治和经济的财团。

The problem is that most people have the wrong definition about comunism. That's why they think China is full capitalism.
Yes, he showed in this video that even he does not know what it means.
Thank you
Good video. Its a privilege to live in China and to witness and contribute to a progressive, competitive society
As a Chinese citizen i agree with you 100%, we have all the things aforementioned materially. And i am super proud of what our fellow people have achieved in just 3-4 decades. BUT: The only thing that's missing in our society is the opportunity to speak openly and freely against official narrative, like you are doing now (against 'your official narrative').
I criticize many specific things that the CCP have done, but i do support CCP as a whole 'leader entity'. I and many other Chinese people hate it but understand its intention. It's complex, i would call the CCP-- 'The Necessary Evil of this particular Historical Momentum'.
very nice vedio, like from China.
Thanks for telling the truth
Hi Miguel, thank you very much for telling the world the truth about China. You are always welcome to go back to China.
I think it is important to tell the truth I experienced, even if it is not popular. I will travel again in the future.
More and more people have found out the truth, the turning point is coming! You will be recognized as one of the whistleblowers.
@@TripBitten Hi Bro. I admire your honesty and courage. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Best wishes from China
Nice to hear from you again! I do see churches here and there, not as many as in US. Temples also here and there . I have also seen, in New Years Day, where the temples are jammed, jammed and jammed and you could hardly find and space to have short rest. Perhaps you can " take a vacation" and re-visit China again. Hope you have visited Megan and Harry ( UK ) who, allegedly, moved from California to Portugal.
A co-worker of mine shirt, shoes were all made in China but calls China a communist country. Lol
In fact, communism is a good country, but after the end of the Cold War and the disintegration of the Soviet Union, the USgov interpreted communism as an evil thing and brainwashed people. Whether it is capitalism or communism, they are just different political systems. Only people living a good life is the main thing
'China is an oppressive state.' Such a Western sentiment, specifically an American one.
Miguel, I totally share your views on China. But it puzzled me. Was told many times the US is the greatest country in the world. The best universities are there. Yet the majority of Americans know so little or misinformed about the outside world. Something must be terribly wrong.
The ego and arrogance level had risen to unprecedented heights after the fall of the Soviet Union.
And thats how chine defines itself.
Labor rights sounds like Denmark.. but we are little more extreme in the rights.. so you can't ask the if they are pregnant and denied them jobs... and if you do, you company will get ban for some years on the employee market.
❤❤❤❤❤ 4 d truths.
Political stability is proven to allow the country to adopt a strategy that pays off in the longer term, so they are a single party state.
if someone don't clear about china system, tell em its like Fusion music, Jazz-Rock, not pure Jazz not pure Rock, but its works, and sound cool.or Electro-Punk, also cool...... mix someting together always cooler, so Social-Capitalism, must be a cool genre
It is like people hate you when you are Rich and well . Common human being . World peace
Hi there! I loved your video!
Some ideas I have heard about China are:
- China does not like foreigners.
- it is hard to find work if you are not Chinese.
- China is racist towards foreigners.
Can you dispel these ideas by your experience?
Thanks again!
no, chinese don't eat cats, in some area they have a tradition that eat dog, but they don't eat pets, there is a huge difference. Just like if you pet a pig, you don't eat it, but if you go to the supermarket you buy pork.
Well said❤hope more ppl can go to check out in person
Putting aside if Chinese eat dogs or not. How do the pork, beef and chicken eaters think they are more noble than dog eater ? Hypocrite to its finest. 😮
Silently getting onto Xiaohongshu (RedNote) and just observing before the whole wave came in, and then finding this channel: I'm reliving the days after I left the cult I was born into..so many walls being shattered; hell y'all seem to have far more rights than I had and still don't have access too like affordable universal healthcare, job security and worker's rights..or being able to eat consistently, that's a new one for me and many more than before, here in the US!
What are your thoughts about this new flock over, in protest, to Xiaohongshu if you have any? (I know it was smaller before 'Tiktok refugees' came in but not sure by how much.)
The american Tiktok ban and the migration to Xiaohongshu might just be the best thing, that have happened to the Sino-US relationship on this side of the Kissinger-Zhou Enlai/Nixon-Mao talks 🙂
Not an american and not a chinese myself, but I must admit that seeing ordinary chinese and ordinary americans sharing stories and oictures of their everyday life, without government, media or influencer filters was touching. There might still be hope for 2025..
Interesting video. Enjoyed watching.
Labor hiring discrimination is commonplace.
Ha ha . US people loved to eat tree barks (cinnamon), tree saps (maple syrup), etc.
Commerce, markets, business etc is NOT inherently capitalist.
I just love how Americans who have no maternity leave, sick leave, very little annual leave etc., say that other countries have no human rights. 😂
Can you talking about Comparing policing enforcement in the U.S.A. and somewhere else around the world?
I don’t like how they give the people tickets here.
There are more mosques per capital for the Muslims in China than any other nations in the world, including the Islamic nations and definitely much more than in the US. Universities provide Halal meals by law, and many have several halal cafeterias on campus for the Muslim students.
Some Chinese, not so many, do eat dogs. But almost no Chinese eat cats. And they just eat those "meat dogs", not "pet dogs". It is just the common sense that people should not judge on what others eat. It is their freedom. In fact, there are some more "special food" in China than dog, such as some kinds of bugs😂
some think dog live is more matter than chicken, so much for equality.
@@yzy8638 True. And Chinese are not the only one to eat dogs. As I know, Korean used to eat them too. But Chinese are more "famous" for anything😂
Imagine if asian ask americans about eating roadkill
But a least in USA, you can criticize and condemn the state.
and then ~ the problem never solve ~~~ ha ha ..

China is Chinese capitalism with a bit Chinese socialism characteristics.
It resembles more to imperial china or the last 2 Chinese dynasties, the Ming and Qing, the Emperor, 5 councillors, and various ministries, governors and so on, you get selected into the government position via exams (many exams) and promoted based on your works, but ofcoz, with the latest communication and social media, it's hard for officials to stray.
