Dying Wish | From Nothing

- Dying Wish’s latest offering ‘Symptoms of Survival,’ captures the band baring their teeth in the face of adversity. Led by vocalist Emma Boster, Dying Wish represents change and evolution in worlds of metal and hardcore. From Myspace metalcore and community centers to massive overseas festivals, cruises, and headlining tours, the mark this band has made is substantial.
Dying Wish’s mission is to foster community. The band works tirelessly to use their platform as a force for positive change, not only just in metal, but also in the music industry as a whole. While interviewing Boster, they expressed how they’ve seen positive changes in the scene over the years, but that it has so far to go in terms of equal opportunity, representation, and the dismantling of archaic systems.
The band’s approach to performance carries punk’s trademark expressive authenticity. If you find yourself in the crowd at a Dying Wish show, you can feel the communal hunger for this kind of revolution. Speaking from the heart is what this band does best. Boster’s deeply personal relationship with their band and with their music are made explicit in their lyrics. They’ve allowed their personal experiences to be tools for growth instead of letting shame fester and take root.
We’re very grateful to share this powerful performance from Dying Wish on Audiotree From Nothing.

Yesss bring on more hardcore bands!! Let's see boundaries, counterparts 2.0, and Misery Signals for their farewell!!
BOUNDARIES FOR SURE
yes, boundaries!
Those aren’t hardcore bands. They’re all metalcore.
three metalcore bands
"OG"Metalcore or Metallic Hardcore is still Hardcore. At least in my eyes
Boundaries on here would be incredible
Gotta happen surely.
Was just thinking this and then I saw your comment. 200% agree.
@@thatsnotaknife_9089I agree 300%
Hell. Yes.
that would be fucking nuts
We want Boundaries on this amazing format!!
Boundaries boundaries boundaries
Saw dying wish and boundaries at midnight hour it was insane 🤘🏽
What a great day this was, thank you Dying Wish spending time with us.
Awesome job Austin. Looks and sounds great!
We made it happen. Lets go
Their drummer is such a beast
that snare is nuts!
honestly haven't been feeling metalcore since the Myspace days. This is like a breath of fresh air to me adding some hardcore in there. \m/
have you checked out Knocked Loose? i feel similarly to you but they help scratch that itch for me. Especially their song with Poppy
check out Balmora as well; Myspace revival sound
@@CheapSushi balmora is amazing. Xnomadx to
Her screaming got waay better live! Sounds great
Cleans have really improved! A lot more in tune .
@@morbid1 yes!! She just overall becoming even greater!! Everyone in band at that!
I agree. All of that touring is really helping them .
Dying Wish puts on one of the best live shows around. I've seen them four times, and they bring full energy every time! They will be an arena band one day!
Thank you Audiotree for featuring one of my favorite bands! Dying Wish is really at the top of their game right now.
Full of Hell would be a dream. A rig rundown for those guys in 2024 would be such a wicked insight. Thank you for all that you do. Hell yeah Dying Wish, what a fundamental band in the scene.
Paved in Sorrow is so incredible. Emma's singing is absolutely beautiful. Haven't had a song hit me so hard in a long time.
2:26 😆the natural instinct to conjure a circle pit even with no audience
It’s so cool to see you guys have Dying Wish on here , love them sm
I remember going on a long hiatus from listening to metalcore when that whole djent wave started happening in the 2010s. Then once I started hearing about bands like Dying Wish, Malevolence, and Jesus Piece I automatically got back in to the genre. It feels good listening to those melodeath riffs again.
Crazy how much emma's singing has improved since the split they did years ago.
Definitely, but she's still a rough diamond.Hope she works with a professional on her vocals, and this band will go places
have you heard the AEW theme for Julia Hart that she did with Colin Young? her singing on that is incredible
Next to hearing them live, this format is the best way to be introduced to new songs. Good stuff, DW! Also, thanks to Audiotree for having them on.
Loved this performance and interview. They seem like such dowm to earth people
One more vote for Boundaries as well!
I adore this band so wholeheartedly
audiotree is tapped in damnnn
I first saw Dying Wish when they opened for The Acacia Strain with Kublai Khan and seeing both of those openers now headline has been amazing!!
Great band, epic tunes. Loving that they're bringing back the Undying / Walls Of Jericho 2000s style metalcore.
Get Year of The Knife next. Even if it's the regular style video . Love DW though.
So glad they are coming back after her injury!
Audiotree you guys have been killing it with these. Boundaries, northlane, Jesus piece we need more pleaseeeee my day completely pauses when these drop I immediately watch lol
Love seeing Dying Wish on here! Would also absolutely love seeing more hardcore & hardcore-adjacent space here. There's so much heart in it, it's a great artistic collaboration with Audiotree.
I have said this before and I will say it again....Dying Wish just keeps getting better and better. They are so tight and Emma is absolutely killing it on vocals!
Mad at myself for not checking them out sooner . Highly enjoyable
Have been following this channel for so long, incredible to see one of my fav bands here.
Man that snare is incredible. Nice work from Dying Wish. Love the sound.
Paved in Sorrow just hits different 💯
damn, they sound EXACTLY like they do on the album. Nice to see
One time I bought a Dying Wish hat from Emma and she accidentally sneezed on it and I wore it and since then fortune has smiled upon my life
Proud to be from PDX.
Thank you Dying Wish!
@6:33 I feel this so hard. It's so hard to write when I'm not feeling particularly inspired. I'm both glad and sorry that successful band members go through the same thing. I want bands to be able to write as much music as they want, but if it isn't meaningful in the moment, it's so hard to push through with a song, or even a riff idea
BRO get Boundaries and Static Dress on the "From Nothing" format 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
ive loved this band for years now and to see their progression is truly something special, and trust me when i say that emma is a truly amazing frontwoman to see perform!! i recommend that you see them if they ever come to a city near u
Glad to see DW on here, they are great and the latest album has been on repeat since it released. I need to see Boundaries on here ASAP!
underrated band with solid material
Such a great documentary and live show. I love Dying Wish and there message. Great job, Audiotree!
Let's gooooo! I love Dying Wish so much! Perfect music catalog!
Welp, another band to add to the playlist! Good stuff!
My favorite "new" metalcore/hardcore band since the first time I saw their show on UA-cam. So stoked I get to see them live soon
Damn band! Sick sound! Greetings from Brazil 🔥🤘🏻
When I caught them couple of months ago with The Acacia Strain, they never fail to bring that energy on stage, had a good chat with them off stage and hear my stories about what other people went through with DV or FV whether it’s from the past or present they listened and understood what that person gone through.
The last album is crazy good !! metalcore at it's finest. amazing band !!
this is by far the best sounding heavy band I have heard on here. ya'll really stepped it up with the mix. Thank you!
Seen Dying Wish 3 days ago after 5 years of being a fan. They were so good. I got the chills the as soon as they started playing. They will always be one of my favorite bands

Absolutely love this band. Just saw them a few days ago and it was definitely the best show ive seen in awhile from a hardcore/metalcore band.
First time ever listening to them.
Her harsh vocals are fine. But I didn't expect those cleans. Wow
Thank you Audio Tree and Dying Wish. ❤
The production here sounds phenomenal. Sounds crystal clear but retains the rawness of a band in a room Love the interviews too.

I do not miss a dying wish show. Its special every time and they hold a special place in my heart.
New to me, really enjoyed this! The interview segments were super sweet too

My boy Peter and Jeff holding it down in the HC scene. They've both been lifelong friends of mine and I'm super happy for them. Peter and I played a song together at the 6th grade talent show in elementary school and Jeff was always nasty at rock band drums lmfao
