Get up Everybody's gonna move their feet Get down Everybody's gonna leave their seat You gotta lose your mind in Detroit Rock City.... kiss influences!!!!
Agreed, but ya know they never will, sadly. It's pathetic how some people still rip on the era, 30 years later. That part i don't mind. Their right to their opinions. But i think it's Sad & Pathetic when they gotta insult fans of the era.
I'm noticing that, and just overall 'Gen-X kids honoring their 70s Hard Rock inspirations' in general. They went in a very 'KISS Alive II' direction with the intro, but there's lots of 'Machine Head' going on with it, too.
Not terrible. I’ve heard worse. It’s definitely a pretty catchy song. My only complaint is that I can barely understand what Terry is saying during the verses. That guitar solo is terrific, though.
I found that the Terry's era it's just barely acceptable in terms of what I am looking for in music in general. But one thing to say is that Dime was already shining here, of course he wasn't at his best, but you could already tell he was a talent. On the other hand Vinnie wasn't even close to reach the maturity of his talent that he reached in CFH and further, and find his goddamn perfect sound
Barry Dompor the lyrics aren’t thrash metal no doubt lol. Hair metal covers sex and love. Thrash is a hybrid of punk and classic metal singing about the worldly shit going on in our daily lives.
Get up
Everybody's gonna move their feet
Get down
Everybody's gonna leave their seat

People need to stop disrespecting this era!!!

No way, this song was good enough to be considered hard rock in the late 70’s
