Missed you, brother. As much as I enjoy your content, I just can't bring myself to care about 7DtD, so it's nice to see something else on your channel again. Looks like those videos are doing really well though, so happy for you either way.
I can respect that you like 7 Days to Die, but I don't...so this is the first video of yours in a while that I've wanted to watch. Thanks for throwing something else into the mix.
The chests generally don't re-spawn (neither the chest or content), although there have been a few bugs where specific ones did, so just deconstruct them after grabbing the goodies. However, the content of the chest is generated when it's first opened and depends on your level, so by not opening them you can get better stuff later... It can ofc be debated if waiting is actually worth it, as extra resources and food early can help you jump-start the game. Also, there are, as you said, large areas (with plenty of chests) you can't access until much later, so there's still plenty of goodies to find...
I did build down there, the water came and I spent quite a few hours relocating my base. The crates lying around the world have items based on where you are. The longer you can leave the chest the better the items inside will be when you loot them.
Drills take up valuable space. Move them to underwater near outer walls so they don't hinder looting when meteors hit. Also, don't deconstruct chests, so you can gather and dump then come back later for quick loot or emergency food/water/O2. Thanks for playing through Planet Crafter!
I love that there are so many great games out there to play. 7DTD is so good with the new alpha, and now some more Planet Crafter! Did you know the Infected is getting new wall styles and colors, and the ladders are pretty cool. So much good gaming! Remember to go ahead and make the agility boots now, they are good and increase your speed, every playthrough you finally make them and realize you were missing out!
So the items you get out of chests generally is determined by your terraformation index. So, if you wait until later in the game, the loot tables will contain better items. In this latest update, they have included a meteor that contains chests. So, honestly if you need to loot, loot.
This game is more than worth the $20 they charge, without question. This game is incredible, and it just keeps getting better. If I'm honest, I'd pay $40 for this game... it's a steal at $20.
Tips for new people ("my opinion") 1.) Chest don't respawn unless it's a bug from an update. 2.) This is a myth chest don't get better loot they have a set loot based on the area and the ti your supposed to be at in other words loot the chest don't wait. 3.) This is set in the year 3050's don't worry about a floating base it's a common sight in that time so save the iron until you get the ore extractors. 4.) If you unlock a t2 item before a t1 item it means your severely lacking in one of your measurements and probably should start working on that as it's not a bug. 5.) If you need more tips, tricks, helpful hints, I'll try my best to answer or help
I don't buy the chest thing either. It's probably like you said but there's probably a rng table it's using for some of the contents in them. Either way they benefit you more in the early to mid game stages and have about zero benefit once you get to T2 miners and beyond.
Bought the game 2 days ago. Gotta say it's pretty nice. I'd swear they are using the same engine as SubNautica, both game have the exact same feel, building works pretty much the same. (Though, Subnautica has a WAY better storyline, Planet Crafter is definitely not about any story. Not at this point anyway.). But I really love how they managed to pretty seamlessly have you go from a barren, dry planet to a pretty much earthlike planet with breathable atmosphere.
Hint: Don't build an elaborate base right next to your drop pod at the beginning of the game. Build on higher ground. You'll understand why later on. ;)
I'm likely the 300th person to say the same thing, but you don't want to open the chests earlier than necessary because the loot rolls at whatever level you are when you open them. It's sometimes a pretty crazy difference in the stuff you get if you can wait as long as possible to open the chests. Late game you sometimes find chests with 3-4 rocket motors and mutagen t2's in them and such.
I read this somewhere, and now use it. Youi can have up to 10 each of the oxygen tanks and back packs. Do not go past level 2 back packs as the slots get very small. The highest amount of oxygen I've had using this is 2900.
The "death" penalty depends on the game mode you chose when you created the save. Relaxed has no penalty other than sending you back to your previous living compartment. Standard "drops" some of your items into a chest which you have to retrieve manually. Intense deletes all of your items. Hardcore deletes your save file. As you later noticed, the first thing to make with the Craft Station T2 is the Exoskeleton T1. 15:06 You still had the Backpack T1, so you never showed us the T2. 22:25 Blink and you'll miss it! (Obviously you revisited it later.) The only exception to the question of do you skip or open crates debate is the small wreck in the aluminium area - if you wait I believe it eventually spawns four chests.
Haven't seen any Creators play the way I play. 🙁 Last playthru I chose 'random start location' and spawned on the edge of the iridium crater (which is very dusty in early game), it was fantastic trying to find stuff in the dust. Also there really isn't a need to settle down off the bat. I love to move, build something, move again, build something. I don't remove old tech. It's a bit fun in late game to zoom past your playthru history. My end game maps have all kinds of tech all over the map.
Yay Planet Crafter!! I started replaying it again too. No need to save the boxes they don't respawn but the higher you level up the better the items in the boxes will be. Also you can ctrl click on a certain item to transfer all of that type of item to the other side
yes please , more of this game, finally after 2 weeks nothing but 7 day´s, i do not like that game so much, so 2 weeks no content from Kage for me. this was great though, keep playing and keep mixing it up, thank you
YES! was hoping youd do a new run with the new patch. Cant wait to see how the trading goes when it doesnt come into a end game world. Will definately be tuned in for all of this
I also can't wait for him to get to auto crafters, drones and the new buildings. I think he'll enjoy the automation and progression aspect of the game.
You can loot all the chest you will find, and then deconstruct them, because in this game there 's no respawn ( trust me I 've go t 480 hours in the game )
The longer you can hold off on looting a blue chest will raise the loot content value within the chest and if done in later game stages increases the chance to get those yellow Terra Tokens for trading/buying. I don't think Golden Chests change loot stage - I heard those were fixed right from the beginning.
Maybe I wasn't paying enough attention at the time but I don't think you deconstructed that gold chest. I always enjoy watching you play this game but then I forget about it afterwards. It looks very easy, and yet very complicated at the same time.
I tried to play this game, but it felt so bare bones and pointless to me that I uninstalled. It's a shame - seems like there's no fully fleshed out games for realistic survival anymore. There's Empyrion, but that game is a bit wonky and buggy and the UI feels like a 2010 game.
Should move to the area past the desert on the cliffs use foundations to make a huge flat area, the new trader options have some nice new larger building sections. for a more creative looking base.
Honestly, it doesn't matter if you save the chests or not. Future updates MIGHT cause a respawn of items in the chests, it used to be every update would do that. But the devs have started making an effort to not do that anymore, so don't count on it. Also, the reason many people say to save the chests is because if you wait until the transformation index increases into higher tiers of terraformation, unopened chests will change their contents to match your current tier. But waiting for it is silly, since chances are you will already have the ability to make or gather everything you get in a chest, and getting uranium in a chest instead of titanium becomes somewhat pointless since you likely already have uranium miners going, for example. Min/maxing the chests is a little silly in a game with unlimited resources available. Just loot the chests when you find them, and feel free to deconstruct the chests for extra materials and to make sure you don't accidentally open one you've already looted.
Missed you, brother. As much as I enjoy your content, I just can't bring myself to care about 7DtD, so it's nice to see something else on your channel again. Looks like those videos are doing really well though, so happy for you either way.
As much as I love Kage's vids, a change in game videos's from 7DTD is super appreciated

Excellent explanation, couldn't have said it better myself. 10/10. :)

This is one of the few games where I don't mind to start over again. It's a lot of fun. Great to see you start over again.

I do love this game.. me personally, I like watching the "grindy" things... just seems rushed without seeing everything IMO Great video though...

Finally something other than 7DTD! Been a long month without watching a Kage848 vid

Love the fact your gonna fast track it can’t wait to see your end game play. Please carry on this series
I'm new player and I also really like this game and I appreciate what you doing here so I hope you continue with this😊

Looking good, Still Missing the Grounded Series but looking forward to this one.
glad you starting over most just continue from their last save

Just started a new playthrough of this since the new update. Can't wait to see how you build your base.

It IS a great great game! And best is the Devs Are Great at the timed updates. I personally heard about it through Capp. And Honestly I Love it lol
Oxygen outpost has a nice ring to it.
I see you're building in the same spot as me in my game. Can't wait to see what your base looks like later in game

Looks like ill be making a new game purchase when i get home from work, not that im watching Kage while at work....
love this game too
Oxygen outpost for the little boxes
There’s another gold chest right on top of the ruined ship viewable from your original landing ship.
You are really talkative like me😂

The compass and the antenna are absolutely worth building. Then you can know which way you are going and where specific locations are.
How about streaming the accelerated progress part?
Excellent video👍👍
23:00 what "food thing"?
Absolutely love this game
Why so short? More, please!
like this
I've been playing over a year and never had anything respawn in the chests.
Finally not A21🎉

You can call the oxygen stop (22:21) a "breather"...
Can you play this with a controller
yay!
The game on steam was £13 yesterday & now it's £20 😢
Finally posting another game lol
ooh I've played this one
Someone was board with 7DtoD? I wouldn't worry about the loot boxes. There is enough to get stuff without having to play "perfectly" efficient.
"Oxygen Outpost"
Ok so this is like a worse version of occupy mars?
It's VERY Confusing, I never saw you build a crafter and I couldn't survive the way you are rushing everything! Sorry.
