Scary moment #6 - restroom out of toilet paper.
scary moment at Disney for me is getting stuck on Pirates Of The Caribbean when the boats mysteriously start moving backwards & the scary part is when you're hearing the employees constantly say "the boats will be moving momentarily" while the boats are still moving backwards. It's scary
I'm surprised that the feeling of fear before the drop/ launch on Tower Of Terror, Splash Mountain or Rock N Roller Coaster didn't make either list!
I can't speak for Christine, but I'm usually super excited in those moments! I love the thrills!
Me as well, I love thrills, but similar to Christine I love them cause of the fear, especially right before these moments. Might be alone in this weird momentary fear but its makes them that more enjoyable for me! This momentary fear (plus my extreme interest in the music industry and music itself) is why my favorite Disney Parks attraction is Rock N Roller coaster.
not 3 husbands.... constance killed all 5 of her husbands. and when you rotate backwards thats her throwing you out the window and you dying and going into the graveyard where all the other ghosts are. they're partying because you finally joined them. the night guard is shaking because hes scared of you. because youre a ghost too. once you read into the haunted mansion lore it gets much creepier. but you know thats why i love the haunted mansion [and tower of terror which also has the creepy eerie feeling similar to haunted mansion]. i dont even get scared easily but rob's list is so relatable that i can agree.
memethyst Really? Then how come we were able to see the ghosts in the ballroom beforehand?
You can see them because, as luck would have it, a Silph Scope was left behind in that room.
So she kills you and turns you into a ghost according to Haunted Mansion Lore? But also according to the Lore, the Mansion is cursed to be sent to the deepest layer of hell as soon as they reach one thousand haunts exactly.
memethyst
Holy crap I've never thought of the attic scene that way o_O
What's really scary is how close support beams and coaster tracks actually are to you in dark rides like space mountain and rockin' roller coaster
DrDead Pasta I'm always too scared to put my arms up on Space Mountain because I'm afraid that my hand is gonna get chopped off. 😖
Indeed. Growth spurts during the teenage years, throwing your arms up like you used to, then realizing how close you were to losing your hands.
DrDead Pasta I almost went pale when I saw a support beam two inches above my head on Space Mountain
i agree with the Tom Sawyers Island thing. My friend Lucas and I got lost on the Island, we were about 5 or 6 and thought it would be fun to lose the adults after we went into the tunnels. We took the "wrong" turn and lost our parents easily. we had fun for a little bit running around and playing pirates, but it was close to sundown and we were starting to get scared. We'd pretty much explored the entire Island and only come across a couple guests here and there. We were bored, scared, and our parents were nowhere to be found. After a couple more minutes Lucas lost it. He screamed something about his mom and treasure and then ran in the opposite direction of me. he left me alone. I just say down in the dirt and started balling my eyes out. I over heard a woman telling her husband the LAST raft off the Island was leaving in 5 minutes and I started booking it to the rafting zone. I figured that hopefully a cast memeber could help me off the island help me find my parents. while I was running I tripped and scraped my knee but it didnt slow me down that much. As I neared the loading area I saw my friend lucas crying in the arms of his mom and my dad was running towards me. He scolded me a bit. Lucas had blamed it all on me. ever since then I've NEVER been back to Tom Sawyer's Island. it still creeps me out to this day.
lucas is a dick
What a friend. Abandoning you, then backstabbing you.
i hate lucas
My scariest Disney moment was when Splash Mountain stopped for 20 minutes when I was 3/4 up the big drop and I still remember the vulture dialogue because they're at the top of the ride 3 feet over my head ("So you're looking for a laughin' place? We'll show you a laughin' place!") and also every 30 seconds or so the message comes on about Bre'r Bear and Bre'r Fox fooling around and how they'll go and fix the ride any second now. I was 6.
My father is dead now, and one of my favorite memories of him is of sitting next to him at Alien Encounter when I was about 12 years old. I was on one side of him and my cousin on the other. We were freaking out because we were so scared, but he held our hands through the whole thing. When we got out of the ride and I was walking next to him, I glanced at his hands-- there were five little half moon marks where my nails had been digging into the back of his poor hand, very clearly so I must have been holding it very hard. He hadn't let go the whole time though. That's how much he wanted me to know he was there for me.
it is haunted by the kid that drowned it on Tom Sawyer's Island
I agree with the bus thing
You know of the rumored little hanging boy ghost in the rafters of the IT'S A SMALL WORLD AFTER ALL ride, right??When I told my lil cousin about it during a brief break down on the ride he cried and peed himself a bit, haha!!Plus we felt something weird watching us the whole time...anyone else felt that on the ride??
I LITERALLY WAITED 2 AND A HALF HOURS IN LINE FOR THE MINE TRAIN I REGRET IT SO MUCH
actually there is a ride like alien encounter still in existence. it's called nemesis sub terra its basically, tower of terror meets alien encounter with a scare maze at the end. i'd recommend it, but I've only read about it online and saw videos on youtube. definitely worth looking up
rct3isepic it's at Alton Towers in England
Elliot Earles i know. i jusy didnt mention it for whatever reason
I found Rob's bus story very relatable. Mainly due to not having a car and being transit-dependant. Just missing the bus after waiting in line is awful enough when I'm just kind of tired and would rather not hike back home or wait 20-ish minutes for another one. Having to wait a whole half-hour for my one and only way back sounds like a nightmare.
As for my own experiences, the one thing I remember being scared of in Disneyland was the mountie in It's A Small World. That I'm myself Canadian is an irony that was not lost on me when I got older.
I've never been to Disney World, only to Disneyland and my scariest experience there would have to be my first time on the Indiana Jones ride. I was riding with a large group of friends and we got freaked out a little during the smaller thrills like the giant snake and the blow dart room. But when we got to the boulder we thought the car was going to go backwards so we weren't worried until the car went right for the huge rock rolling towards us and went under at the last second. That was probably the only time i screamed out of pure terror on any ride but I absolutely loved it.
Is it bad that I'm obsessed with Rob's videos that I watch 3 of his videos every 1 1/2 hours? XD
I seriously love your vlogs together! You can really tell that you guys have a great friendship...it really shows on your videos/topics! So happy I found your and Christine's channel!!!
Before my first visit to Disney World in 2002, I was always kind of anxious about going there because of the Haunted Mansion. Disney Channel once played this episode from the Wonderful World of Color where they showed the Haunted Mansion and seeing that made me afraid of it. Now at the time I was already afraid of haunted house rides (and I still kind of am) so my feelings toward the Haunted Mansion weren't any different. Now though it doesn't scare me and it's become one of my favorite Disney rides.
My Top 5 would be:
5. The final lift before the big drop at Splash Mountain
4. The Tiger with glowing eyes on Jungle Cruise
3. Alien Encounter
2. The Skeleton at the ship's wheel in Pirates of the Carribbean
1. The Bride in the Haunted Mansion. That one gave me nightmares for years.
I use to be afraid of Haunted Houses myself. When I was little my Dad and Mon made me go on the Haunted Mansion ride, When the lightning flashed and the thunder effect went off I tried to go out the same way we cane in. Then when I was in High School I joined the Key Club. When it got to October. We started talking about what to do for Halloween and someone suggested a haunted house. Well after working in that haunted house. I got over my fear of them.
Scott Houston the haunted mansion ride when they say be quiet when I was little you bet I didn't say a word
Yoiks. That 4th one reminded me of those glowing-eyed wolves in that time machine ride that used to be in Knott's Berry Farm. Those freaked me out a bit. And then when the ride closed, they had to be repurposed for the nice, harmless ol' log ride, which was always my favourite attraction to ride repeatedly. So that meant running face to face with those horrors every time. Aye aye aye.
the scariest thing is wondering how many real human ashes are left behind from people thinking this was a good idea even if they cleaned up most of it
iam16bits 2 scares me so bad and I don't know why. There's just something about it
Number 1 scariest experience was hands down Alien Encounter, that was pure terror as a kid. Number 2 would probably be Tower of Terror - when I was young they had bars that went across the row instead of individual belts and I was actually suspended really high off the seat when we dropped and felt like I was going to fly out. Does anyone else remember that? Plus the ambience is creepy in general. My brother always cried during the pre-show when the glass broke in the video. And Number 3 that I haven't seen anyone mention - the rats in Honey I Shrunk the Audience...still makes me shudder thinking about it.
The scariest thing about Tom Sawyer island us that there are definitely gators in the rivers of America, as a former main street ops cast member (back when we worked parades in Frontierland, when a guest pointed out another guest feeding turkey leg to a gator on the boardwalk...yea, genuine fear.
*standing there* *mimes "I'm a mime, and I'm offended"*
#1) Getting stuck at the top of an incline on Space Mountain, they turn the lights on, paramedics show up, get guided through emergency exits.
My sister used to be terrified of the characters of villains...especially Captain Hook. She always cried every time she got near one and would refuse to get an autograph or picture with them. My list of scary things are:
5. The bride in the Haunted Mansion, but not the new version, the old version without the ax and her talking so just the sound of her beating heart because we always got stuck right next to her and the beating heart sound creeped me out.
4. Dinosaur and it's not higher on the list because I haven't been on it since I was younger so I don't remember it that well
3. The big drop on Splash Mountain cause I hate drops
2. Not the Alien scene from The Great Movie Ride, but the actual Alien that came out of the ceiling
1. Tower of Terror because it's entirely drops so I'm terrified of it and refuse to go on it.
They really need to bring back ExtraTerrorestrial Encounter, because that ride looked quite good
I can absolutely relate to you Rob
My top 5 is: (not in order)
1:Graveyard scene in haunted mansion.
2:The drop in Splash Mountain
3:The drops in Tower of Terror
4:Getting stuck on anything
5:LONG WAITTIMES FOR ANYTHING!
When I was really young, my parents made me go on Tower of Terror multiple times. I was so scared of it that I developed a fear of all elevators and refused to use them for years. I eventually mustered up the courage to ride it again years later, and now it's one of my favorite rides. I still give my parents a hard time for torturing 6 year old me.
The bus thing killed me😂😂😂
What scared me the most was waiting over an hour for Radiator Springs Racers because of breakdowns then going on it later then it breaks down while being on it. Its not worth the wait.
Bonus 6. The hell part in Mr. Toad
5. Blood song from country bear jamboree
4. Edge of expedition everest
3. The ghosts
2. Small world dolls {or animatronics in general}
1. Definitely the bride
The scariest Disney experience is when your stroller gets stuck in the Trolley tracks in California Adventure and the trolley is coming down the tracks toward you
Scary moment for me? Getting stuck at the photo point on Dinosaur. For a solid 45 minutes. The flash kept going. And going. AND GOING. I can still see it when I close my eyes.
The scariest thing that happened to me at WDW was witnessing a firework exploding shortly after it was launched from area where the short-range flares are fired. I thought it would set the trees on fire!
My scariest moment at Disney World was at the original Universe of Energy....the dinosaur that threatened Ellen actually used to swing out at the riders, it was so unexpected I screamed like a banshee-both times
For me, it's when you realize all 3 of your favorite attractions (Journey into Imagination, Stitch's great Escape and Cranium command) are all closed@
I am jealous that you ride Expedition Everest when the Yeti moved. I wish they would hurry up and fix it
The scariest moment at WDW is when you are right behind the Star Wars stage at Hollywood and they fire the cannons...
This didn't happen to me, but through pictures I remembering it happening. My family and I were at some character dining place and Captain Hook came up and took my sister's Tarzan plush. She started crying, but Peter Pan came and saved her doll.
I agree.. The bus is the most terrifying
I feel ya with the bus scare. It can be horrific at times
Rob I'm with you on Small World being scary. I was stuck on it once. Not fun. Looking at fear scary, my (adult) daughter refuses to take a certain elevator on Tower of Terror and has waited longer in line just so she does not ride it.
It's a Bug's Life has what my family calls "my disclaimer." We were in the test group and it made me cry! I had to be taken out. Seeing it again in my late teens was embarrassing because it was so not scary! We also saw safari with the original poacher plot line complete with machine gun fire which was scary enough for me to vividly remember twenty years later, but I feel vindicated since it was apparently disturbing enough to not make it past the test group.
Just last week I got to ride Dinosaur completely alone at 10 PM with two of the carnatorous animatronics broken and standing idle (the first one and the one that charges you in the middle of the ride) IT WAS HORRIFYING!
Did anyone else notice at 18:23 that guy in the background video look directly into the camera like it was a foreign object 😂😂
Haha yeah, they thought it'd be funny to walk right up to the camera and block the shot.
1) I used to bury my head in my mom and dad’s laps when the trolls appeared in Maelstrom. Maybe that was just my little kid fear, because later in my teenage years, that ride didn’t freak me out at all.
2) The clowns rolling around on the giant balls from the Electrical Parade back in the 90’s were TERRIFYING. I was a tiny little kid and I’m pretty sure that contributed to my fear/hatred of clowns. The hair on the clowns was wild and neon colored, and they flailed their arms around and rolled up to people.. Awful!
3) Various parts of the Haunted Mansion are obviously creepy.
4) Enchanted Tiki Room totem pole faces.
5) The mounted animatronic heads in Country Bear Jamboree. Geez.
The part of Haunted Mansion that scares me is the body trying to climb out of the coffin!!!! And guess where I got stuck for 15 minutes 😂🙄😳
the bugs life show freaked me out when i was a kid and so did the its a small world ride
The rats in honey I shrunk the audience. Ok journey with figment scared me at first just by how trippy it is. Oh the scariest one for me is the listening station in rafiki's area. Put on those headphones and you hear chainsaws and growling tigers right there. I went on it during a field trip and it was fun educational too
I got ride Expedition Everest when the Yeti was in A mode as well in 2007. I really hope they fix him, despite how difficult it may be.
do you mean the 24 hour challenge
I've never been to WDW but I've been to Disneyland quite a lot. Now that all of the parking is super far away, they rely on the buses to get people to and from their cars/far hotels. So I totally feel you on the bus line thing. I went this past April , and was dead tired waiting for the bus. Luckily there's a bus every 15 minutes, but the lines were still long. The bus got packed before my husband and I could get on, but thankfully when the bus driver asked if anyone didn't mind standing only four of us raised our hands.
We also got stuck on Haunted Mansion multiple times in one go. The automated voice kept saying people were getting in and out of the Doom Buggies, so I thought it was some little shit kid. We were stuck at the ballroom, the crazy husband murderer, and the mirrors for 45 minutes in total. It wasn't until the end of ride, where you can see the cast member operating the control board, did he say something over the speakers saying that we'd be getting off soon. That's when I could also see a pretty large line of people in wheelchairs and walkers getting on the ride. Kinda made me feel bad for being frustrated, but at the same time having to hear what the brides says on loop 15+ times is quite a bit annoying and really takes the immersion out of the ride.
My absolutely most scary experience at Disneyland was probably my very first time going with my family when I was 8 years old. We went on Indiana Jones my brother and dad were in the front, my brother at the steering wheel, and my mom and I were right behind them. I was definitely not tall enough to be on the ride, but i was wearing a hat and when the cast member measured me they brought the measure thingy right on top of the little nob on the top of my hat. This was also my first ever rollercoaster. So when the ride starts getting all crazy, bumpy, and sharp turns, I feel like I'm going to fly out of the cart. I look over at my brother and see him maniacally twisting and turning the steering wheel, so of course 8 year old me thinks he's actually controlling the carts, and I start screaming and crying at him to stop. Everyone in our carts starts laughing and my mom tries telling me that he's no doing anything. I didn't believe her though. I came off that ride shaking and crying. I was totally fine on Big Thunder Mountain though.
The Captain EO one made me laugh too hard.
Dinosaur always scares me. My eyes are always closed on that ride.
I remember riding Dinosaur and being on the side of the one that runs along the side, and remember seeing the cart that moves it along.
You know mentioning that makes me wish I could ride through that ride once with the lights on just to see all the mechanics of it!
Literally bingeing this because Disney trip in 34 days :)
Man, I would not want the ride to break down in that attic in the haunted mansion.
My scariest moment was the Bug's Life thing at Animal Kingdom. It was too real for me at the time.
I've been stuck on its a small world before. It was terrifing
thenerdyblogger that is my worst nightmare to be stuck on Small World just for the song
For me, there's not really anything uniquely scary at Disney World, but there are certain uncomfortable feelings I get. One happens on water rides, when the boat enters a large open area from a smaller area. This is especially uncomfortable if it's supposed to be at night, so it's dark. You can't see where the walls are, even thought subconsciously you're aware there are walls. The best example of this is during the ship scene on Pirates of the Caribbean. The other feeling isn't as bad, but it's whenever a ride uses a scrim to hide animatronics. For that, it's knowing they're going to show the animatronics, but you're not sure when.
One year at Disneyland, I had a run where every time I rode the Haunted Mansion, I got stuck right next to the Bride. Once was bad enough, but the fact that it kept happening? >_>
Not my experience, but a friend's on Ghost Galaxy. Ghost right at the end when you turn back in to the station and it happened to be on my friend's side. Scared the living daylights out of her, almost gave her a panic attack.
Starlight Cafe scares me to this day
I feel like my Top 5 Scariest Things in Disney would all feature my dad making me go on a ride that he knew would scare me.
Example: I'm terrified of roller coasters (they make me sick) and when I was 7 my dad promised he wouldn't take me on Space Mountain. So we get on TTA, and I keep asking "This isn't Space Mountain, right?" because my dad's the kinda guy who would take me on it and I wouldn't know until the ride started. And he smiles and shakes his head, meaning of course I don't trust him. Next thing I know, I hear "NOW APPROACHING SPACE MOUNTAIN" and I nearly jumped out of my skin while my dad laughed and laughed.
He also took me on the Jaws ride at 7 and it gave me waking nightmares. I'm 24 years old and still have trouble watching videos of that ride.
So yeah, my dad is the scariest thing about my Disney experience. Even though of course he never ruined it or anything. He took me on Haunted Mansion when I was terrified of it and it wound up being one of my favorite rides.
I didn't go on the Haunted Mansion for about 14 years. I finally went on it a couple of years ago and was actually kind of bored (compared to the Holiday version).
Nice Haunted Mansion music in the back😂🖤I have it on my ipod
When I was 8 I cried at the alien bit on Great movie ried
I remember for my picture on dinosaur, everyone else in the car is looking at the dinosaur. And im looking the complete opposite way...
Scariest moment getting crushed at rope drop at any park
My Top5 scary WDW experiences
Joke list: 5: Black Widow Bride, 4: Black Widow Bride, 3: Black Widow Bride, 2: Black Widow Bride, 1: BLACK WIDOW BRIDE
Serious list: 5: Seven Dwarfs Mine Train que, 4: Going Down the Kali River Rapids drop, backwards, 3: The Small World dolls, 2: The special effect of the little girl's ghost in ToT, 1: THE GOD DAMN BLACK WIDOW BRIDE *nukes Haunted Mansion*
They don't do it anymore because of the stupid refurb, but in the queue for The Great Movie Ride, whenever the Alien trailer would come one it would freak me out. Like I wouldn't scream or anything but It was unnerving. Much more so then the actual Alien movie IMO.
Cast Members actually refer to Small World as "The Asylum"
I guess next time I’m stuck next to a snoozing bears cave I gonna scream my head off then. Thanks hour long shutdown of Splash Mountain
I've been stuck on small world before and people on the boats started yelling to turn the music off
whats the relationship?? dating, friends??
BFFs for like 20 years now!
oh thats fantastic!!
Would you rather get stuck on small world with no music but the animatronics on or no animatronics but the music on loop for an hour?
The first time I rode the Tower of Terror was the scariest because my mom told me that elevator was taking us to our room...
Staying at a monorail resort will not entirely avoid you from bus transportation. How will you get to Hollywood Studios/Animal Kingdom/Disney Springs??
Sure, but it'll cover 2 of the 4 parks which is good enough for me! I've also noticed the monorail resorts tend to have their buses right up front most of the time, so that should cut down on the walking (and maybe waiting?)
SEJ 101 I waited three hours for a bus to Hollywood Studios from Magic Kingdom
My grandmother rammed into me with her electric scooter right outside of the Great Movie Ride
Best intro ever
Hi Rob. nice video love your channel!!
Thanks!
I literally have NO idea how to even come close to understanding Rob's scary list. Like what?? I'm not getting it
Hey Rob! Love the video and the series! I hope you remember signing my book at MCMagic!!!!
Thanks so much!
whats hilarious about Christine's #5 I am gonna be Michael Jackson from smooth criminal for Halloween!
Dude we were totally in Disney at the same time.
my fear is getting stuck in alien on the great movie ride
Happened to me once, wouldn't wish it on anybody
Owain Milliken ii
first time I went on dinosaur I was crying uncontrollably......I was 17
There is a rumor going around that says after midnight around 2 am if you go on its a small world and are not smiling the dolls will come to life and start attacking you.
I'm pretty sure that was a scene in the Kingdom Keepers novels! It was terrifying!
Victoria Herrmann It is and that is why I love it and I want to try it XD
been stuck on its a small world! before We did not have a cellphone to check the internet back in the days. NOT FUN
you know thinking about it. I also got trapped in an elevator after lunch at Walt Disney World for 30 mins to an hour. I don't have good luck
She cried because of happiness because it was Michal Jackson
Was this channel called RobH0629 at one time? I remember watching origami videos on that channel...

Amazing video
hi rob its me patrickc0215 from minecraft we met along time ago :) you probably still remmber me :) I hope you have a spooky and wonderful Halloween:)
Thanks! You too!
I wonder if The Disney Company would ever be interested in building a Disney inspired Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas,Nevada???I know Vegas isn't that keen on families but still,Disney could do something like their cruise line to keep the kids distracted while the adults play, right??Have'en just bust in on the Vegas gamingboard and other city officals and say..."Las Vegas Gamingboard, assorted other city officals,we're DISNEY and we're building a Hotel and Casino, here's our plans and now ya'll been DISNEYfied!'.
How dare she say we are all clowns
There were 12 of us for our spring break family reunion. First Disney visit for my niece's 2 little girls age 6 and 4. California Adventure was fairly new and my sister says let's do Bugs Life first since all the kids had seen the movie. Wrong, wrong, wrong. In the dark, 3D bugs coming at you, poking you, spraying you. Once Alison started screaming (and I mean blood curdling screams) other kids started crying and screaming. We could not find the exit fast enough. Do you realize how many dark rides are at Disneyland that you can't take hysterical kids on? Too many.
She looks a lot like you, is she your sister?
What's good
Tom Sawyer's Island is haunted, a kid died there in the 80s. So, the place gives me the creeps too.
stitch is better
