You guys are assuming Boise State is an easy out for Ohio State...
They both lost to the same team by comparable scores.
Boise state has made a living out of playing highly ranked teams in the post season and beating them.
Nobody is going to be an easy out. If that's how these teams are thinking, they should prepare themselves for an upset.
Yes, the branding bias is so apparent with these guys. It's just silly.
Imagining Boise State is an easy out in any scenario is a freaking wild take.....
@@MattBuild4I can totally see Ashton Jeanty rushing for 200+ on Ohio State and everyone acting like it’s a massive upset, as if he’s not been doing that all season.
@@tchristianfuhriman5177there’s a reason for it. If you look at the last 25 years and bet on Alabama or Ohio state every game you’re gonna be right a whole lot more than betting against them. By no means does that mean they’ll win a natty this year or even against a team like Boise but people complain about “brand bias” and almost every year these teams compete and win until they play other top 5 opponents. They’re there for a reason. If we could see the future it would be easy to predict, but we can’t. It makes sense that you might look back and bet on the teams that are in it every single year after year after year after year for decades after decades.
That should never be the reason to put someone in the playoff over another team though. for playoff selection you look at this year and this year alone to see what they’ve done on the field. That’s what matters most. Prior years are completely separate.
If you’re just predicting like these guys are why wouldn’t you pick a team that wins far more often than they don’t?
They made a living out of it in the early 2000’s….
I have a question for you. What’s Miami’s best win if they lose to SMU? Why should Miami be in?
If SMU were to get the 11 seed that'd be a fun matchup to see against Texas.
It would. It's a Former SWC (Southwestern Conference)
@Hotmenudo As a Longhorn fan in NE Tx, yes, it would be an awesome atmosphere, and SMU has earned that spot over ND and Alabama imo.
wtf hasany of theSEC schools done that are making you think one path is easier than the other? 😂. Everyone can run against Bama. Tennessee offense looks dumb af Georgia could barely score against the team that Miami put 41 pts on. Stfu with the idiot SEC paths. Those teams suck 😂.
Alabama??? Alabama!!!??? Um, no. Not this year. I’m am SO tired of these legacy teams getting more credit than they deserve, and teams like IU have to beg for credit they deserve at 9-0!! It’s BS.
They won’t be begging for credit if they beat OSU. But first they need to play an actual ranked team.
Bama is still is set if they win out.
Even with 3 losses it depends how things shake out.
Relax, beat Ohio State and you are in.
@@John_Hoover what does that have to do with Alabama?? See, you’re doing the same thing. You’re making excuses for Alabama.
And don’t worry. IU will beat Blow-SU. By 21. IU is a machine.
@@John-zz6fz It’s about the legacy BS with Alabama. They have a new coach. It’s a new season without Saban. And they’ve lost twice.
So SMU is on the bubble? Their only loss is to an undefeated team and that game came down to the wire. SMU just dominated an undefeated Pitt, the same weekend the all powerful Georgia struggled with a down Florida team. No way you put 2 loss Alabama in ahead of them because of that Georgia win.
But that SEC $$$$$$ runs deep for the ranking.....
The money is what matters to the committee. That's all.
What if the national championship game was SMU VS INDIANA.. both having sensational year.
LOL. What arm you poking with that needle?
@@scratchnsniph0121 makes more sense then Bama making the playoffs
@@okchakochoctaw1794 It would finally turn the media bias on its head
I disagree so much with this SEC & blue blood bias this year. Truth is, the SEC isn't what it usually is. ND shouldn't get a pass for losing to a bad G5 school. They've beat nobody. Teams like A&M, LSU, Mizzu, Ole Miss continue to be overrated, which gives the SEC a boost. A 2 loss SMU with losses by 3 to an undefeated BYU and a close loss to an Undefeated Miami, should be ahead of a 3 loss Alabama who lost to Vandy, and a ND team who plays nobody their best opponent is Army😂. They the lost to N. Ill.😂. It's completely ridiculous. ND plays a G5 schedule and cherry picks bad ACC teams & and a laughable USC this year. But no ND and Alabama are just too big to leave out, so let's not consider their losses. Let's find a win to justify them being in. Shut up, I'm so sick of this narrative. If Indiana got the Penn St. treatment, they'd be number 2 right now. You could say the samething about BYU. Neither ND or Alabama have earned a playoff spot. SMU's only chance is winning the ACC. But ND and Alabama can lose to G5 schools and Vandy and still get in. 😢. I hope the committee isn't just looking at ratings for the playoffs but looking at teams who've earned the spot by winning games on the field. If 4 SEC teams get in, I'm watching BYU, Indiana & Texas (that's my team) & that's it.
W take, your spot on
The problem is the media is operating on the past. Perhaps the CFP committee will as well. The SEC isn't what it was the past few years. There are more top tier teams with Texas joining the conference. However, Alabama and Georgia have slid down a notch to the level of other SEC teams in Texas, LSU, TAMU, and Tennessee. We've seen each one of these teams struggle with mid-tier SEC teams in which some have lost games and others should have lost.
The college football landscape has changed. We have parity and the CFP needs to reflect it. There are likely 8-10 teams capable of winning a national championship and they don't all reside in the SEC and B1G.
That is true. I'm a die hard Bama fan and the transfer portal started evening the playing field some what because true talent that was being benched because of even better talent could go somewhere and prove themselves. Really risky when it came to your future if you ended up like Florida state this year for example. But NIL is going to change that because you are a true athlete it brings money and more talent to that team to start building a level playing field and I for one love that. If it doesn't get in way of achidemics. And it will we see already but it thins out the true dedicated athlete and that can also be a good thing. Anyways football ain't fun when one team always dominates. Even when it's always your team not if you a fan of the sport. So much will change over the next few years.
Ehhh not really. I mean Texas still hasnt really played anyone.
@@MattBuild4Texas biggest win, just got rolled by Oregon easily. LOL.
Please name the 8-10 teams that have a chance to win. I agree they aren’t all big ten or SEC, but how many? I think most of them are from those two conferences.
When you have your list compare the non big ten and sec teams to the teams in those conferences you left off the list and consider if you believe the teams on your list are actually better.
You might validate your statement and prove yourself right, but you might surprise yourself too. And be honest! Would you bet on the team you claim to be better if they played the teams you left out? Are there only 9 or less teams in the entire country better than the teams you listed?
@@shawnandrews329 truth
The 12 team playoff is the perfect format imo. I do not want anymore expansion.
Power four (most likely) conference champs get first round bye. Lesser conference teams get a chance with the 5th best conference champs making the playoffs. And 7 more teams get to fill in the rest.
With the final bracket essentially making up the "better half" of the top 25
This is where your argument falls flat on its face when you say it’s not about who you lose to but who you beat. By that logic tell me why Texas going into the Georgia game was a UNANIMOUS #1 over Oregon who had a top 5 win vs ohio state and a great win over a fantastic looking Boise state who also was ranked. Then the week after Georgia beating Texas Oregon same resume including now a ranked Illinois team added was not unanimous #1. They only became unanimous number 1 in this most recent poll cause Georgia struggled with Florida. So the answer is not who you lose to it’s simply SEC BIAS
I wish we could get more of what we REALLY want!
Mixed conference match ups in the playoffs!
As fun as it'll be... we don't want to see bama or lsu vs texas for the chance to go play uga. We can see that in the sec conference. We want to see ohio state vs texas to go play miami in the next round.
We don't want to see Penn state vs ND to play Oregon in the next round. We can see that in the big 10 conference.
We want to see Penn state vs tenn / bama/ lsu to play byu in the next round.
Mix it up committee. Give us what we really want. Who's the biggest and baddest in the land! Not another conference game!
If who you lose to isn’t as important as who you win then why if BYU only loses one game in the conference championship are people saying they won’t be in the playoff? They already have wins over SMU who are 13th in the country and Kansas State ranked and they defeated them by 30.
They also wouldn’t have a bad loss. Byu should for sure get in if they’re only losses in the conference championship even if it isn’t, they should be in with only one loss when you compare the résumé with others.
I think the 5th seed every year is going to bury the 12th and subsequently 4th seed most seasons. The drop off from the best team that doesn’t win the SEC or B1G and the 4th and 5th highest ranked conference champ is typically massive.
SMU would smoke Bama.
Who has SMU beaten
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Bama by 3 tds
The committee won’t let the bottom right of that bracket happen. They say they don’t rank based on matchups, but we all know they absolutely do. 2 teams from the same conference have never played in a semifinal game.
This 12 team playoff is going to make it difficult to not pair up. Especially now that there are only 4 P conferences
If SMU gives Miami a close game. They deserve a bid above Alabama.
I feel like Boise state is going to be an issue for anyone and I hope they end up on the opposite side of the ducks. That RB is an absolute problem for any defense.
Tennessee indiana would be a fun matchup. Funny how if Tennessee beats UGA, they go straight to the 2 seed.....how much can change in a week
Bama not even gonna make the playoff😂
As an IU fan I would love to play Tennessee and then Miami. Two completely different teams. Tennessee struggles to score and Miami doesn’t play defense. They just try to outscore everyone.
IU would get dog walked by both teams
If you play Tennessee you want have a chance to play Miami
@@Y-uh8zhYou meant to say IU would dogwalk both teams
Tennessee defense would destroy Indiana offense .
IU has played no one. What makes you think they can win against ranked teams?
Guys I believe that your analysis of what the committee will probably do is much closer to the mark than what most analysts think. Now, as far projecting today what the bracket, itself, will look like is another story. There are simply too many variables to have any confidence in your projection. It's an interesting thought process though, so I'm sure that we will see quite a few predictions over the next month.
To early for all that😂😂😂😂let it play out
I could see an 11-2 SMU team get in if Pitt wins out and dominated Clemson like Louisville did. Both their losses would be to the top 4 seeds. Not too different from Texas in this scenario. Also if Indiana goes 12-1 that could destroy Ohio St and Penn St resumes as well. Also Alabama and Tennessee would be 10-2 in this scenario. While SMU would be 11-2 so i'm not sure they would get in over SMU anyways considering who those teams lost to.
Indiana will beat Ohio State, Oregon vs Indiana big ten champ game
two undefeated at the end of year , would be great game.
You're out of your mind thinking Indiana is not going to beat Ohio state. Indiana has played nobody and they will get their ass stomp when they play Ohio state

Penn State is joke shouldn't be in top ten . Damn whole little ten is a joke . Let's look at 40 years of champions 3 and a shared . So you should quit hyping bad conferences.

Yes winning games should matter......
Bama has a top ten strength of record plus the best win in college football. If they beat LSU at lsu that strength of record will go up too. Also I don’t think Bama wins that game. But Roll tide!
It’s laughable that yall got all the sec schools on the same side of the bracket lol
Talking down to SMU for beating a undefeated Pitt team but Umiami best win was against Duke but they are #2. I think SMU beats Umiami
What about this?the sec champion has two losses, BYU is 12-0, does the sec championship become the 4, if so then the 5 does not look good any more
Who has Miami beaten??? It's crazy to have them at #2. BYU has a better resume than Miami hands down.
These videos would be better if you discussed possibilities for your bubble teams to get in. Like you have SMU and ISU in your bubble list because you're projecting BYU and Miami to win their conferences, but what happens if SMU and ISU win? Does a 1 loss Miami or BYU replace a 2 loss Tennessee or Alabama? Another crazy scenario is if Army goes undefeated, that would drop ND out so does the group get 2 schools in? I get the argument for quality wins, but there's also the quality loss argument that could be made for Boise if their only loss is by 3 to Oregon. I mean everyone was making that argument for Clemson until this weekend and they lost by 30 to Georgia.
I think one could play the guessing game on how this will turn out for weeks, the final bracket will probably hava a team or two you would not guess would be there until the final week, nature of college football and the vegas rigging
I hope the G5 ends up higher than 12 in the final bracket
There’s no way that CU wins out and misses the Playoffs even if they don’t make the conference championship game.
They will not make the CFP unless they win the B12 Championship and I doubt they even make it to the title game.
What’s the buffaloes best win? Ucf was ranked when the Colorado beat them. Then you look at Nebraska who beat Colorado by 18. They’ve since been destroyed by Indiana, played Ohio State tight, then lost to UCLA. Don’t look past tech either. Colorado’s only chance is winning the big 12, and they need help to get in the title game. My guess is Colorado will get a good bowl game in a fun city. Predicting San Diego and holiday bowl.
@qurhanhall4844 So Dieon gives Colorado the Blueblood treatment 🙄. I'm a Longhorn fan, but I still watch the B12. Colorado is better now than when they lost to Nebraska, but I don't think they get in unless they win the B12 championship game. Why would a 2 loss Colorado get in over a 2 loss SMU, K st., or Iowa St. I wouldn't be opposed to the B12 getting two teams in it would be great. But BYU just looks better than the rest of the league this year. I don't see them losing, despite the media saying all these teams are equal. That's not true this year. It's just lazy reporting from guys who watch highlights and not the actual B12 games. They are too busy pumping up the SEC & B10 to be unbiased and logical in their analysis of any other teams or leagues.
I needed Penn state to fall behind Tennessee in the rankings. Funny how everyone is like "10-2 is the number to make the playoffs"......well.......problem is, is there are 42 fan bases saying that with 6 spots available after you count the conference champs and G5 auto bid. We thought it was crazy when FSU got left out last year.....wait and see.
I have N.D. be 8# seed at home and win whoever they play. I have them play Oregon.
Texas and Georgia shouldn't have to play second round. Ridiculous
These vids are going to be electric in a couple weeks when the realization comes that WSU is knocking on the door.
P.S. 10 win Bama is a lock
Three ACC teams could crash the party this year
With Clemson losing there’s no way. Even 11-1 Pitt isn’t making it
It's gonna be a Diddy party cause ACC are cupcakes and sissy teams
Let’s hope for our eyes that doesn’t happen. I think people would rather see zero ACC teams make it than watch 3 make it in.
@@aust5353 Dont want to play a old style WAC team like Boise and SMU its hard nosed style of football.
I hope they separate the Oregon, OSU, Boise state side up and same for Georgia, Texas, and Alabama side. People want to see Quarter final and Semi final match ups that haven’t happened this season already. We’ve been forced to watch the Rose Bowl of only two conferences for way too long. Let’s see Ohio State Georgia play and Oregon vs Bama in the semi finals.
Alabama does not deserve to be in the playoffs, you can’t have 2 losses and not be a the conference champion and be in. Not to mention they only have 1 god win to go along with those bad losses. They may have a 3 loss by the end of the season. Also, if Georgia losses to Ole Miss this weekend that one good win looks worse at that point.

Funny how this year they are projecting Bama again over another team that is more deserving just because there Bama but I thought the 12 team play off was supposed to stop the favoritism of Bama and the SEC .... BUt just like last year and undefeated FSU this year SMU will get screwed for a Bama team who is paying probably 100+ Million to make sure they are ranked to be in the playoffs. College football is in a sad state of affairs.
Hold on to that BYU seed until the Holy War is over.
ANd if Byu beats Utah with an ! then Byu should be top 5 period and it has nothing to do with Utahs ranking but everything to do with the rivelery and despite Utahs win loss its going to be a battle when you play your brother at there house.
@richardwestern9546 agreed
Wasn’t the ranks update Texas is at 4 now from what I seen
Rankings and playoff seeding is completely different.
Have you watched BYU at all this season? Because they are dangerous.
All we can do is pray and pray the sec eats its self up from the inside 3 loss bama 2-3 loss Georga 3 loss a&m 3 loss Tenn 3 loss Lsu then we will see front and center just how the sec pays for rankings and how 2-3 loss sec teams get into the playoffs and 1 loss or undefeated teams get left out.
For all of you SEC haters , let me tell you this . Let’s be real , your conference is not better than the SEC and if you inserted your team into the SEC , the current record that your team has would not be the same. Last year was the first time in awhile that a non SEC team won the natty . 🤷🏿♂️ Cry to the rest of your conference and tell the teams to be better 🤷🏿♂️.
This is a good theory until we see Texas doing just fine in the SEC. Let's be honest, the SEC is just not as good this year. Poll inertia has been a constant problem for a decade. Now that advantage has been significantly reduced for the SEC. Let's see how they do playing true away games in the playoffs.

Why is there a big 10 side and an SEC side?
They put Ohio State on a pedestal every year. Saying there the best in the country. They always have a weak schedule every year. Then 6 games down the road they had to play Oregon, and guess what, they lost. If they had a hard schedule they would have more losses. The more you play the better you are in most cases.

@websurvivor my bad correct. I'll adjust. I meant Georgia.
If ND loses to Army theres a very high chance that Army is the G5 rep and not BSU........ Army would have a better record and a higher ranked win.
So, how do you have Army winning this game but then not making the playoff?
As a BSU fan id be pretty pissed at this scenario, but given how often BSU has been screwed in this joke of a sport its not surprising at this point. Plus it would be nice to have 8 months to stew on how ND screwed us, just so that when we go to South Bend next year we can just absolute demolish the Irish to make them wish they never had a program in this sport - make the GT vs Cumberland game look like picnic compared to what BSU would do to them if ND loses to Army. And hey if anyone gets upset they should blame Oregon for being to pansy to show up at Boise like we agreed to in 2025 (its only the reason why BSU is playing ND next year).
@MattBuild4 Well, if Army loses in the Army Navy game. Boise will make it. And from what I understand they play that game twice. Anything can happen. But if Army does win. More than likely they will make it in the top 12. As far as who all makes it into the top 12. I have no idea what mid teams will make it in.
My point of this post is that November is always crazy in college football. Even the last weekend almost always causes chaos. Vanderbilt could ruin someone's day still. And also. Notre Dame better not look past USC.
Disagree with Miami losing to SMU just because it's a crazy year doesn't mean SMU will beat Miami. Nobody can stop Miami's offensive "Nobody" so it will be a shootout, but Miami has Cam Word and SMU doesn't.

I really believe Ohio State would destroy Boise and BYU if OSU is healthy... in this scenario.
Thats a bold mindset to have....... Yes G5 have a reputation in the CFP era and this isnt a championship caliber BSU team, but BSU has there own reputations and there is a LONG LIST of teams who take that reputation for granted. You can put OSU as a 20 point favorite and heck they may eventually beat them by 3 scores.
However, BSU has played 5 road final ranked top 10 teams in the last 5 years (yeah going to the shoe isnt really going to intimidate them - they schedule these games all the time; BSU may have the most insane track record of being able to schedule good teams on the road consistently). They went 1-4 in these games. All but 1 of these games were determined by 6 points or less, and ZERO of these games were to wall to wall annihilations. In fact BSU has not been destroyed for 4 quarters in any game in any year since 2003 Georgia vs Boise State. Even in the Washington game last year it was 16-23 in the 3rd quarter. They are just not the kind of program to sit down a take a whopping.
I feel like everything about BYU is underrated. They don’t have many household names but if you watch them play their quarterback is good, offensive weapons are really good, lots of playmakers on defense, the offensive line has been really good lately. On special teams they’ve also been a great team this year. Maybe not a ton of superstars but with the right play-calling I think they could beat anyone.

1,872 yards
18 TDs
7 Picks
303 rushing yards

Ari knows nothing about football its hilarious
Georgia shouldn't be in
Lol if you have a crystal ball and see UGA losing at ole miss and to Tennessee, okay other than that Georgia is in. Honestly there are zero teams that look dominant, Oregon playing better at moment but things can all change in one week.
Brackets are garbage
Whomever gets to play Miami is one lucky team. I hope it's my Georgia Bulldogs to end those frauds once and for all.
Exactly
Calm down
😂frauds, try not to struggle with Florida first.
your georgia bulldogs were losing to a team we blew out before their starting qb got hurt
@@AEM-le7uy your Georgia dogs aren’t half as good as you think they are.
Why does everyone keep putting 2 SEC teams to play in round 1, and then play the SEC champ the next week!? That is the most idiotic ranking possible 🤘🏼🤨🤘🏼
No it isn’t. You scared of playing your own trash teams?
@ no, it makes zero sense, which is why March Madness spreads everyone out rather than replaying conference title games 😒
If you want to show “conference superiority,” have all 4 teams make it to the quarterfinal instead 🤘🏼🤨🤘🏼
@@collegebro85you really comparing a 68 team field against 12 ? They should play each other it's bad enough field already saturated.
@ Bama-LSU played for the SEC title game and then right back again for the national title in 2012…one of the WORST and most boring championship games in modern history. Case closed, we need parity in the playoff, not the same crap in a different toilet, and the committee will see to it that we do!
When Colorado wins out. Keep those weak ass “I was wrong” speeches in your pocket
@@negusxwrld3778 we will. Instead, we’ll have speeches about how they will get blown out in the first round
@@negusxwrld3778 Colorado can win out and still not make the big 12 championship game. Should they play it and get the bye they’ll be # 4 playing Boise state as a 12 or probably the second big 10 or sec team. Personally I hope it’s Indiana since Cignetti reminds me of prime with more coaching experience. He was hitting the same points Deion made about changing team culture. Brought in portal transfers and dropped I think 22 from last year’s team. Do think he brought in a better o line to Indiana though.
Miami #2. Who's the best win. I'll hang up and not listen to you stumble up and down your Idiocracy. Talking about who they beat. Why? Miami says it all about you
Army gonna beat ND
Keep dreaming. Total respect for their team and everyone involved. Much appreciated. But ND going to win by more than two scores! Go Irish!!!
Indiana
Yale in the 4th spot are you nits
Not Yale 😂😂
Nobody is talking about smu winning the conference and being the 5th highest rated conference champ. That bumps Boise state to the 4th slot and moves SMU to one of the play-in games.
Miami is undefeated 🤮🤮🤮🤮because they haven’t really played any highly ranked team.
Brother, shut up. You’re so mad because Miami is just better than your team.
He's not lying....Brother.

Oregon beat OSU & Michigan.
Miami would be lucky if they even a first down against them.
Miami Beat 25th ranked Lou at Lou!
@@conmaz Michigan is not a highly ranked team! They suck this year. Also saying Miami wouldn't get a first down is truly showing you know nothing about football. Miami is the #1 scoring offense #1 Total Offensive #1 QB offensive #3 running offensive list goes on! Now there defensive sucks! but nobody in college football can stop that offensive.
Ari did Ohio State reject your application to college? Man you have some serious basis against them!
☘️ 🍀 ☘️
I predict the Buckeyes will get the 1 or 2 seed by winning the rematch against Oregon
Man buckeyes fans really are as blind and ignorant as they come huh
OSU is gonna lose to Indiana... but if they did get another shot at Oregon, they would lose again!
@ we’ll see
@henrymagoun3230 we'll unitl then you be fellow 🏈er! 👊
Miami at #2 in bracket is crazy lol. That’s criminal
They have the next best wins as an undefeated team…until proven otherwise
@ who have they played???!
@ destroyed a Florida team that took Georgia to the brink, a stout VT, and just throttled a Duke team that would beat Indiana, BYU and Army…not saying they are a national title contender, but as of right now they clearly are the 2nd best team in the nation!
@@cesaramezquita_ Lou is ranked 25th so now you know!
@@ErikEstrada-n6m when Miami plays a top 10 team they’ll be taken seriously. As of now they’re fraudulent
IU can handle Tennessee and they can beat Miami
Don't think IU can beat Tennessee or Miami😂
@ Tennessee has a qb that can’t hit a bull in the ass with a base fiddle and miam’s defense is bad. Oh btw having watched Ward play in the PAC 12, when he implodes he really implodes. You may like all that running around he does but it will bite him
@@kmarks97236 Did Ward have a supporting cast that was even half as talented as he has at Miami? How was WSU's O-Line when Ward there?
@@tjhodge201I think they could beat both. I think a game against TN would be a low scoring close game and a game against Miami would be like a 51-48 final score.
@@tjhodge201I’ll be honest though, when Miami shakes off their hangover in games and decides to start really balling, their offense looks pretty scary with the way they can explode for a lot of points very quickly. Miami is good enough to compete with a lot of the second tier teams this season and if they get a good matchup in the CFP, their ceiling will be the semi finals if they get the first round bye or the quarters if they don’t. As soon as Miami has to play a legit contender in the CFP, AKA a more complete team who can hang with them enough offensively but also has a legit D, their season is over
A waste of damn time…
I actually think Miami loses to SMU.
Miami has no good wins, either.
Irish have no good wins now either.
Lou is ranked 25th buddy and beat them at Lou!!!
The Alabama bias is hilarious
Paid mouthpieces stop the BS
Ari has that silly “loss to bad team, win to good team” take to justify ND placement
ND should not even be considered! No conference and plays in no conference championship game with a weak schedule.
lol
Awww baby gone cry... aww
If SMU gives Miami a close game. They deserve a bid above Alabama.
This is an objectively horrendous take. Every year there are MULTIPLE 2 loss, non conference champs in the top 10 heading into the bowls. You are judging them vs everyone as if the season ended now which i agree they are not currently top 12. But 4 wins in a row will undoubtedly move them close to 7 or 8 by the season's end. You're not considering how many teams will lose in front of them, we still have a month of football.
@@stretch141000 Well see the problem is youre ojectively saying that if your in the SEC you just have to win 1 game against the theorized best team in your conference and then youre a playoff. Which really calls into question the legitimacy of SOS which yall rely on so heavily to justify why your teams should make it. I mean at this point whats the difference between alabama and NIU beating ND to make the playoff?
@@MattBuild4 I said nothing at all about SOS, i am simply saying that it's untrue to say "you can't get in with two losses and not a conference champ" because you absolutely can. Alabama wins out and they probably have an 80% chance of getting in. We are still judging teams playoff legitimacy based on a 4 team playoff format when in reality 12 teams still gotta make it and a ton of teams will lose the next month. Hell, penn state woulda made the playoff in a 12 team format like 4 times the last 8 years and never had less than 2 losses.
@@stretch141000 Alabama may have an 80% chance to make it, but id argue that has to do far more with the potential economics of the post season and overall brand than what they put on the field.
This is still the problem with the sport where we do not use consistent logic in having teams make the same spot.
@@MattBuild4 Now that part i won't argue with, i agree with you there. But i will say Alabama does own one of the top 3 wins anyone has had this year when they took UGA down, and under this assumption that they win out they will have beaten LSU on the road too. Pair that with the fact that they will have been on a 5 game win streak to end the year (which does matter compared to teams that lose late) and they'll be in. Politics or not i still don't think it's likely there will be a more impressive 2 loss team by then.
