Seeing Evan makes me realize that the engineering majors in college don't really change. They just get more resources
I love how every time y’all need something you just build it haha
This is 100% couple goals. Imagine going to sleep next to your best friend and waking up the next day to keep working on such a fun project together 🥰
@@EvanAndKatelyn Ya'll have something so special together. Treasure it every day. :)
Ummmm, just to be clear: LEGOS are Legos for adults.
Woah did you make that thing in your profile pic because if so that’s amazing
I, too, suffer from desk disfunction. If you have this problem, please, watch this video. Treatment is one step to a better life.
I normally really dislike couples on UA-cam making videos together, because it's usually either a bunch of forced affection, or one of them is only there because their spouse made them, or it's just really cringy; but after finding your channel from Alex Steel's collab and binging most of your videos, I have to say, you two are the exception to the rule.
You go beyond the bar of being "tolerable" to watch together to being genuinely one of those rare duos that work off each other's chemistry so well that it simply wouldn't be the same solo.
I love editing, music, chemistry and overall style of your videos. Thank you for sharing them on UA-cam (and for repping Texas. ATX!)
Thank you so much! The whole reason we started a channel is so we could work more together so we do actually really like each other 😋😋 So glad you like the videos! And hello fellow Texan! 👋👋
If you enjoy their couple chemistry I’d check out Doodle Date they’re also a cute quirky couple who do art together.
I felt like watching 2 grown ass kids playin around 😂✌️... Keep up with the good work.... Good day
I'm sorry to say. Mrs.Katelyn and Mr.Evan.
You act like children. Running around panicking in a good way. I'm not trying to be rude at all!
I just found this video in my recommended and I fell in love, unlike most couple channels, this isn’t cringe, and is well made and you know what your talking about and are really on the same wavelength
“ this is the biggest pour we’ve ever done”
Me watching from December 2019 : “ oh this is nothing”
“Are you feeling frustrated by your tiny desk”
Me not having a desk at all: 🤔 I wonder what that’s like
What a GREAT build! I really like that you didn't embed the LED strip in the resin. Good engineering! Always be prepared for that "what if" moment.
Thank you! Yeah every time I see someone embed LED's I'm like "... but what if you want to change them? or remove them? ahh!"
@@EvanAndKatelyn You can embed them easily. With just a tube in the resin. Inside this tube (or tunnel) are the LED. Opening under the table to pull out the stripe. Done. But ofc, its WAY easier to change or repair (THATS the point ... repairing) them this way. - btw .. really cool result. I never thought, that the LED will be that cool in colored resin. Think i have to try it too soon
I don't think so because if you probably just want one color you can do it...
Everyone: *binge watching netflix*
Me: *binge watches Evan and Katelyn*
YES I’ve literally watched like half their videos in 2 days 😂 theyre the BEST!
5:52 Everybody’s thoughts: *Did You Level It*
5:56 Everyone’s thoughts: 😳
Y’all are like a addiction, I can’t stop watching your videos
saaame they're so creative and have great chemistry so I'm thoroughly enjoying every bit of every video :D
So cleaaan, I love it! I might have to look into doing some more desk enhancement myself 😜
Thanks!! Everyone could use a little desk enhancement here and there 😁😁
I am Japanese. This video was very interesting.I would like to continue to see it.It may be strange because I use translation function, but please forgive me.
this couple is going to last until death and after it
They are going to create life for them and furniture for people in heaven I guess
Ok, that is sexy! I think having the LEDs underneath was smart, they don't last forever and are not flawless so if they ever fail it will be easy to change them out. You guys should really be proud of this.
Thank you!! Yeah, we'd be so sad if they failed or died and were trapped forever!
no one:
absolute no one:
Evan and Katelyn when there is a problem: R E S I N
If only I actually have the ability to do that resin stuff, it looks so sick
Seriously, if I'm having a bad day, all I need to do is watch one of you guys' videos :) You're both so light-hearted and funny, and the table looks beautiful :D
Katelyn: *explaining table*
Katelyn two seconds later: *squealing like a normal human would when they just made something cool*
Evan: MMMMMMMMMM
Funny to see you guys look more and more tired with each scene 😂
Thanks for burning the late night (Danish) oil for us!
I love you two. One day I'm gonna turn my girlfriend into my wife and do fun projects like yours around the house.
LOVED THIS VIDEO!!! all your concerns are everyone else's and no one talks about them!!!! you just do it and talk about what worked and didn't work!!.
These two wonderful people work so well together! Usually, couple channels aren't that great, but this is more than great!
if you can pour it slowly, you can pour it quickly
dunno just heard flight of the bumblebee
Legend says that Ling Ling was so disappointed in his orchestra, he replaced them with world class musical resin which could play faster than #15notesasecond
Look at you kids with your grown up space...Love it...You can tell you guys are friends above all else & enjoy each others company, it shines through...
I like how you guys make your silliness and mess ups as part of the video and not editing it out. It makes it much more personal and flows well.
Wife and I started a resin table project using live wood. I was looking for other people's experience and came across your video. I learned some valuable tips. You are guys are awesome! Light-hearted, interesting personalities, and terrific job editing!!! You gained a subscriber.
I just watched this one vid and i fell in love with you guys so i subbed and clicked that bell😁
Me, too! One video and I’m hooked. Love nerdy people humor (mean that in the best possible way)!
Thank you EvanAndKatelyn! You're the people who inspired me to create my dream projects come true, by watching you guys have trial+error, YOU are the people who inspired me to be who I am today. Thank you :)
If you made this desk again I would 100% buy it. It’s the coolest desk I’ve ever seen. Great work
Ahhh I have such desk envy! This is such a beautiful desk, plus I love the cable organization!!
Thank you so much! We're soooo grateful for the much needed organization
i love the structure of your videos with the mention of the sponsor then it's in the middle with the time bar so it can easily be skipped or not but you know how long it will be, and just how everything is edited i love it
Once in a while I have enough time to go back and watch some of the older videos from before I knew about you guys. It's always worth it. MOLD / REVIEW got me.
That's one smoking table… literally at one point. Looking forward to seeing it action in the podcast.
Haha! It was a SIGNIFICANT amount of smoke 😂😂 We can't wait to record our first podcast with the new desk!
Around the 1 minute mark, what a cool shot! Evan talking and Evan and Katelyn assembling. I mean it was just neat! Lol
The final project turned out awesome. I’m so glad I was able to watch you guys do the resin poor live on twitch. This video felt like the behind the scenes for me because of seeing it on twitch earlier in the week. I’ve been dying to see it fully finished!! Was defiantly worth the wait.
I was so curious to see what people who were in the stream thought of the final video! So glad you liked it!
Today’s video was perfect for anyone who watched it live on the Twitch stream. It showed everything else coming together to create a beautiful final project. With just the right amount of goofiness. ☺️ You two are the best!!
I just discovered this channel and Idk how it took so long but I know what I'll be doing all day today.😆 In love with everything I've seen so far!
Idk if it would be rude to ask but I always wonder the pricing on the projects you do. There’s so many things I’d love to do on a weekend with my husband and 2 little girls as like a family project but without knowing the pricing for the whole project I’m kinda just lost as to if it’s an affordable thing we can budget for. Sorry if that’s intrusive. Love the desk by the way you two always do amazing things Idk how you come up with such awesome projects!
Not rude at all! So we have links to all the materials and tools we use if you wanna get an idea of pricing. This project in particular was not the cheapest... we used about a gallon of resin (slow acting, which is like $170 or so, although we could have done the fast acting if we had some which is about half the price). The butcher block on sale was like... $70? I forget exactly, but super cheap. The t-slot aluminum is where it gets pricey. It was under $300 but that's with buying it already cut to length, buying the upgraded fasteners, etc. You can buy it long and cut it using woodworking tools w/ aluminum-cutting blades and that makes it way cheaper (we did that on our first aluminum desk build here: ua-cam.com/video/CEv60KeZ-M0/v-deo.html ) Hope that helps!! For a family project that's cheaper, something like acrylic pours (like these we did a couple months ago: ua-cam.com/video/b_sLWbUKXuk/v-deo.html ) would be perfect!!
I actually came to ask how much resin was used, too, because Y'all have me imagining a variation on this desktop for kitchen countertops...
David Serhienko
That would be amazing you could honestly use this technique and do different colors or swirl s and run light underneath it to bring out the amazing colors or use a black light reactive resin powder and do black lights underneath.
Ok yall, the thumbnail, I didnt want to click it, cause I glanced at it, and my mind couldn't even comprehend what was going on. AKA it was too complex for me (this is pure opinion 😬). I clicked the video because the of the title. If you simply had a picture of the desk clearly showing its features, I would've clicked so damn fast haha. Cause its COOL. Maybe that helps, maybe not, but I know I would want this type of feedback for my channel! ok hehe love you two
That's really good to hear! We did struggle with the thumbnail because we wanted to show off the resin and the finished desk at the same time. But now that the video is taking off well we'd be too scared to change it and mess something up haha!
@@EvanAndKatelyn I like how you reply to almost everyone’s comments! You guys really are amazing 🤩❤️
The creativity of this project is SO HIGH....this is massive coolness. It also is not extraordinarily difficult like many other similar videos (requires very little power saw cuts). And that LED lit varied color resin strip is just plain out of this world. No doubt a LIKE on this video.
legit my favorite couple on you tube
my Dad was a woodworker. He would have loved watching this kind of stuff. That's a beautiful job on the desk.
* clap * *mold* * clap * *review*
I just discovered this channel and I'm already in love
Edit: oml they replied
Evan and Katelyn, no, thank you for creating such interesting content!
@@mannymoctopusREAL you must feel so good. I'm getting excited just thinking about it. Also, love the name haha
Ostrich Man thanks so much! I just really love onions. your name is really cool too!
The framing explanation split with the assembly time lapse.... omg. I choose to believe that it took forever to edit. Great job! I love that you guys have random video ideas and just go for it... and it just works. Amazing.
Thank you!! Haha it's so fun to throw in little editing tricks every now and then. Also, we know ourselves and know we'd get bored sticking to just one thing so we're really glad to hear that people like being along for the ride
"It's past midnight, so I'm gonna give up for today and start tomorrow" is my life motto 😆

I am a high school student what do you think?
Omg it looks fantastic! I am extremely jealous of your organization improvements!
Thank you! Oh man, we NEEDED some organization bad. You saw the before... haha!
You two are doing all the things I LOVE and dream of doing!!🤩 Like mad scientist-artists!!🤯
Mad scientist artists is what we aspire to be! You too can find the mad scientist artist within you. Thank you!
Shoutout to your amazing video production skills. I can respect how long it must have taken to put this together. Well done!!
Thank you so much @EvanAndKatelyn for helping me with my anxiety!!!! You make me so happy that I start to forget the worries of the day!!!! I'm only 11 but I still love your videos so much!!!!
Editing skills x 1000000 guys. Great vid!
Thank you so much! This one was a beast to edit, especially the resin pour scenes (sooo many cameras)
Subbed after 5 seconds and now I have amazing inspiration for my new desk build love it
That was the best DIY project i’ve ever watched tbh.well done guys the disk is sooo cool i’m in love with it
Oh this gave me so much inspiration! Thank you! :) I made half of the furniture myself with the help of a friend, but one table I regret not making bigger, now my monitors dont fit well and I was thinking about a subtle way to make it longer without being hard noticeable, BUT instead of trying to seamlessly glue a piece to it, I can make it do something more creative like you did for example :) Thank you for giving me some ideas!
Ya'll are my favorite channel. So inspiring. And your editing adds so much, I love it and I can tell you give it your all
I just love you guys and everything you create. Two of my favourite humans.
You guys are adorable. Your dynamics are unique and also entertaining.
I still come back to this video and it is 2022! I love this project!
honestly, i really want to make this, but i don’t really have the money for all of your guys’ tools.
that rainbow looks fantastic, by the way!
Thank you! You can do this one with a circular saw and a couple accessory tools! Might cost a couple hundred
Y’all should do a video reacting to old videos! Like, what would you do differently, knowing what you know now?
Looks awesome guys and I love how the colours turned out
The desk looks super! Loved the presentation and the whole vibe you 2 got! Keep it up! 👍
you guys are so cute!! i love going on marathons on your videos, it's really nice to just relax and watch all of this super cool stuff be made. thanks for being one more amazing and underrated channel here!
“Embrace the funny face” needs to be. T-shirt. lol
Haha! Sometimes you just can't do a thing and make an attractive face at the same time
The motion has been seconded, now we must bring the motion to a full vote! lol
Ok, you guys got me. I gotta subscribe after this. THIS IS HANDS DOWN THE COOLEST DESK I'VE SEEN
I love how in the live part they played Flight of The Bumble Bee x3
BEAUTIFUL SETUP! AMAZING JOB GUYS!!
You guys are the best! im so glad I found your channel🥺
15:30 reminds me of when I put lotion on my ashy legs 🤣
nice edit! and you guys are now really pros at resin projects.
Thank you! Haha "pros" is a strong word, but we're definitely learning a lot!
I love how you include the bloopers and how talk to each other on how to do stuff
I would honestly love to do something like this for my desk (it's an L shaped desk with glass panels on it currently) that looks absolutely amazing you two!
Wow...I actually can't imagine how this can work...I have learn so much here!!!
Evan please leave the singing to Katelyn.
This was the funniest and simultaneously most stressful video of yours I’ve watched!
haha! I dunno, I think Evan should do the music for all our montages now
You guys are so cute ❤️
i came back for the nostalgia but NO WAY was this 4 years ago!!?? i cant even believe ive been watching every single video since i was 15??
Very Gorgeous! What a FAB-U-LOUS job to have- RESIN CRAFTS!!! IT's unbelievable how much media techie stuff ya'll have! Looks so overwhelming to me. I feel like I could do some of the resin crafts ya'll do, but I really don't think I'd be able to figure out all the media/computer stuff! AHHHH! Gr8 job ya'll! You 2 are ADORABLE!
