That match foundation super power is such a cool thing to have (I do too, after 21 years of being an MUA) Yes, moms have extreme arm muscles because we have been carrying baby since the day they came into this world Foundation is recommended to be blended from the middle of the face out, to avoid having the most product to blend into the hair and hairline. Not all women are bald, so that’s why it’s recommended to have the most product in the middle of the face, where coverage is often needed the most😄
It's also to not have that imagery of a face mask that brands recommend to apply first in the center of the face. So when you apply to the edges there's less product and it blends more seamlessly to the neck
12:57 The direction of brush strokes matters a lot in painting, it creates a felt sense of motion. It makes sense to me that most makeup tutorials direct brush strokes outward and your tendency is to go inward; most standard makeup aims to make the face appear larger and more open, while you probably work to make your face look smaller to create your desired proportions in drag. 🧑🎨🎨👍
honestly yes, I learned how makeup has such a similar process to oil on canvas painting, even acrylic, with the primer, and then the base color foundations, and then you go in with details working from light to dark, and setting the whole thing - even graphite/pencil art is typically set in with a specific setting spray to avoid smudging.
When I tell you I have gotten into makeup more because of you Trixie…love how you explain the products like “It works better for a normal person but not for drag” keep doing the makeup videos..love them!!! 😊😊😊
I wear makeup, but I’m a Glossier, Milk, Florence by Mills, ELF cream blushes and shadows sort of person. I just like hearing Trixie’s opinions on things, and especially with ELF there’s been multiple times when her endorsement has really helped me find something I needed. I’m not surprised that people who don’t wear makeup watch this, too! 💕
I don't wear makeup but am slowly getting into it/practicing in my room because of this channel! Getting called out by Trixie was wilddd but I'm having so much fun knowing all the makeup knowledge and having none of the skills 😭
I have been watching/following you for years, and your eye shape and brows always reminded me of something. I couldn't put my finger on it until today, though. No shade, but it's giving moth/butterfly. The eyes are the wings, and the brows are the antenna. Now that I have pointed it out, it is all anyone will see. It is all I see now. If you ever venture out of the full Trixie makeup, maybe you can do a butterfly eye inspired look.
I’ve been a cosmetician for years and makeup was a huge part of my self-care. I was out of work on medical leave last year and haven’t worn much makeup since, maybe once a month, and it’s gloss, mascara and tinted moisturizer. Makeup videos no longer interested me (still don’t) but you are THE ONLY one that I still watch ❤️❤️❤️❤️ No matter what video you put out, I always make sure to watch it
Okay, I'm so glad I'm not the only one that doesn't regularly wear makeup for a different reason besides not wanting to! Things just get in the way of the artistry sometimes, but nothing stops us from enjoying Trixie!!! :)
I don't do makeup but I love watching drag makeup videos because it's like watching a master painter complete a wonderful work of art, and there's usually humour along the way so it's great!
Hi, a weirdo who watches ALL your videos without having ever used makeup. I find it so therapeutic, relaxing and just satisfying. I honestly love to watch your makeup videos before I go to bed.
I wear light makeup and love to watch and rewatch your videos for all the little tips about products and what you say about them, sometimes I simply watch you to inspire myself into being more feminine ❤
I have never once in my life put on makeup and yet have watched every single makeup video Trixie has ever made... and I could watch her put on her makeup another 25 trillion times. I will never get tired of it. I do feel like I know lots about makeup now, but Trixie constantly reminds you that there's SO much more to know. Her breadth of knowledge is as impressive as it is inspiring.... even if you're not a painter yourself.
I think it’d be fun to see Trixie try makeup challenges. I think having some challenges would provide such a fun opportunity to see her flex her creative muscles! Even when she does different makeup for a character like Dr Manhattan, seeing her also share some of her interests along the way is always a delight! This was a fun video; have a wonderful day!
8:42 i used to do fun makeup but im a single mom so i don’t find much time. We live vicariously through you babe! Watching people put on makeup is very relaxing and seeing the final product is the best part ❤
My daily makeup routine is mascara and a tinted lip balm. Sometimes I get fancy and where a gloss. I watch your videos because it's cool to watch someone who knows how to apply eyeliner (In a different way, but still it's cool). Also, you make me laugh! Happy new year!🎉
I’ve heard makeup artists council to start with foundation in the middle of the face and blend outward because they say most people need the majority of coverage there and not on the perimeter of the face. I need the most coverage on the perimeter of my face, so I do the reverse, like you, Tritsie!
Omg yes, I'm a film makeup artist with a theater makeup background, and I LOVE cream shadows. Creams are so easy to work with and have great pigmentation, and they really make the pressed eyeshadows put on top go that extra mile. Creams4Life.
Love Trixie’s relatable content about getting all her makeup for free and getting her robe for free and mingling with the commoners! The People’s Queen.
I dont use makeup but i know so much about makeup from you, different bases for foundation and how they work and how they blend and primers and shadows and how the gig works. I just love watching and listening to you talk
I don’t do makeup, but you’re entertaining and when you nerd out on specs it tickles the nerd part of my brain. I like learning, I tend to learn something new every day.
hi girl, I'm one of your watchers that doesn't do makeup normally! I just like to hear the trixie moment and I find you just doing your thing relaxing even if I don't understand it much myself. (however, I did actually buy a few basics over the new year just to experiment since I've absorbed so much from your channel. we'll see how it goes!)
I don’t wear makeup at all and never have, but I’ve been watching beauty UA-cam for like 8 years. I love watching and learning about the formulation of stuff and watching the process, it’s like soothing to have a beginning and and end. I think that the makeup world is so interesting it has a mix of everything.
12:59 about the foundation blending - the only thing I can come up with is that by blending from the inside out and upwards, its technically following lymphatic drainage and also reduces the friction and drag downwards that can cause collagen breakdown and wrinkles over time. But idk how much that matters when applying foundation.
I recently rewatched the kiki with ur sister and was like damn I wish she’d come on the channel again!! If y’all haven’t seen trixie’s sister she’s GORGEOUS and it’s so fun to see them together 💜 would love to see her again!!
i’m one of the weirdos who watches but doesn’t wear makeup! i’m transmasc and wearing makeup makes me uncomfortable but i LOVE makeup. it’s so fun, i love the creativity and the therapeutic part of putting it on, so i’m like living vicariously through trixie here
The blending outward thing is because usually where you start is where the product with be the “heaviest” & the most opaque or pigmented. So generally people want to cover things more towards the center of their face, where they breakout or just have more discoloration. This also helps if applying makeup for stage makeup theory because it theoretically creates an automatic high & low point of the face if you are using a lighter foundation color. The nose extends the most from the face, therefore it receives the highest concentration of pigment. Like blending inwards & not outwards when you contour. Since formulas & coverage has evolved so much it’s probably not a necessary now, but when I did full on theatrical/operatic stage makeup courses thats why it was taught that way.
Patrick Ta’s products leave me sooooo shook every single time. He makes AMAZING things. His brow laminating gel? Omg. His lip gloss? Incredible. His HIGHLIGHTER? Ooooof. I RARELY wear make up but it’s wonderful to know when I’m shopping what’s really worth buying.
We watch 'cause we love you. I used to do the makeup thing all of the years that I worked. Being retired, my makeup is sooooo pared down. I love seeing colours on you.
Exited to se Trixie use my go to foundation, feels like getting a seal of approval as someone who dose minimal makeup. Love that Trixie is a guncle now and his niece is such a fierce Toddler xD
The way I felt further from Trixie when she endorsed children, and than felt fully seen when she pointed at me for not wearing makeup. A rollercoaster.
Haven’t worn makeup since I felt like a twink when I was 18, but I binge every second and rewatch EVERY video. I am who you are speaking to when you ask “would you guys watch…”
Watching Trixie for 2 years without ever wearing makeup, and THEN taking my first steps into make up really made me realise how much knowledge you can absorb by osmosis
Yes! I don’t wear it either but feel like I have a wealth of product and technique knowledge haha

We Moms def have secret arm strength! We built it up from day 1! ❤
You Trixed us all into it 😊
Your strength grows as the baby does. Moms are awesome!
I am a weirdo that doesn’t wear makeup, but likes to watch. 😂 I love the artistry and your sense of humor 🖤🦇
Trixie is such a beautiful human. I'm jealous of that gorgeous skin.
It's so great I see you're making a butterfly on the center of your face. So creative ❤
I think it's a moth
I'm one of the none make up wearing viewers, just here to help support an up and coming queen.
12:59 about the foundation blending - the only thing I can come up with is that by blending from the inside out and upwards, its technically following lymphatic drainage and also reduces the friction and drag downwards that can cause collagen breakdown and wrinkles over time. But idk how much that matters when applying foundation.
i unironically think this is some of the most beautiful and compelling makeup trixie's ever done
I recently rewatched the kiki with ur sister and was like damn I wish she’d come on the channel again!! If y’all haven’t seen trixie’s sister she’s GORGEOUS and it’s so fun to see them together 💜 would love to see her again!!
i’m one of the weirdos who watches but doesn’t wear makeup! i’m transmasc and wearing makeup makes me uncomfortable but i LOVE makeup. it’s so fun, i love the creativity and the therapeutic part of putting it on, so i’m like living vicariously through trixie here
this lighting is IT💅😭✨so pretty
Trixie doxxing his sisters work
The blending outward thing is because usually where you start is where the product with be the “heaviest” & the most opaque or pigmented.
Madonna stuns in new selfie
Patrick Ta’s products leave me sooooo shook every single time. He makes AMAZING things. His brow laminating gel? Omg. His lip gloss? Incredible. His HIGHLIGHTER? Ooooof. I RARELY wear make up but it’s wonderful to know when I’m shopping what’s really worth buying.
I need her to do like a quick review after her DJ gig so she can let us know how everything held up
YES!
I only wear mascara and only on special occasions, and I watch so many of your makeup videos. It’s just fascinating.
Hi trixie! ❤ you a joy to me. I don't wear makeup... I'm 47 fem I should lol but I appreciate your content
Bought a Trixie endorsed foundation two weeks ago and it is truly the ONLY foundation I’ve found that doesn’t break out my PCOS/Rosacea skin 😭❤️
I don't wear makeup or watch any other makeup videos but I still find these entertaining and informative
No but seeing trixie talking about her sisters baby is so cutee. Like who would of thought trixie will ever talk about a baby like this !!
The way I felt further from Trixie when she endorsed children, and than felt fully seen when she pointed at me for not wearing makeup. A rollercoaster.
I don’t wear makeup myself, but I find drag makeup in particular to be so interesting to watch and you are extremely entertaining!
Haven’t worn makeup since I felt like a twink when I was 18, but I binge every second and rewatch EVERY video.
I am who you are speaking to when you ask “would you guys watch…”
hearing trixie also loves my fave mascara is so validating
Another woman here who doesn’t wear makeup, but I love the idea of it…and the packaging. Crazy I know. 😂 Go Trixie!!❤️
I live for the makeup videos! I don’t wear makeup but Trixie is just so damn knowledgeable about her craft that I’m just enthralled!! Love ya Trix 💖
I hardly ever wear makeup but I like hearing experts talk about their chosen field of knowledge!
You are the only content I still watch. I used to wear makeup religiously but have since stopped.
