If you have individually wrapped sheet masks: if it’s hot, chill them in the fridge. If it’s cold, immerse them in warm water for minute. I hated using sheet in winter, too, but when they’re warmed a little-such a nice, cozy treat!
I hit pan on a Bobbi Brown powder blush/bronzer within a year and thought, wow! Luckily I had a back up as it was limited edition. However it's creme products I don't like hanging around, dare I say, 3 years? 😋
To be fair I do wear makeup generally 6/7 days a week and I use a lot of it when filming (which can be 3 days a week) so I probably wear makeup more than the average person. I find if you use the same products most days you can easily use up most products within 2-6 months with the exception being blushes/highlighters/gel liners. When I was working full time I would use my project pan products 5 days a week to work and then play with other makeup on the weekend. I was able to use up a lot of makeup doing it that way. I find it is just about turning it into a routine.
I try the proyect pan, but make me anxious 😅 so, modify for me. I don't buy a new product until to not finish one for category. Also try to buy mini versions to try first. Bronzers and blush take me forever to finish, so is a good option for me the minis. Also sephora and ulta have promotions and give you free samples. Right now, I try Hydro Grip Primer for milk and love it! The obly primer that make a difference. I will try the pixy mist, when I finish one mist 😅 Love your channel 😍
I used up a ColourPop gloss earlier this year and was soo proud of myself. Working on the Gloss Bomb from that brand I won't mention now. I always love watching your updates, but I have to be honest: I watched the babies half of the time!
If you ever really feel inclined to get the last bit out of a product be it your lipgloss or say an expensive face cream bottle or something, look into cosmetic spatulas. You can just scrape from the container or scrape into another more practical container. Here in the states we have a multitude of them available at the cash grab lining the registers at this organization store called The Container Store and we also have a product called the Spatty Daddy which you may be able to get in AU. However, I've also tried cheap knock offs on eBay that work just as well. I have a mini spatula and a mini spatula kinda shaped like a flat lip gloss wand made of silicone and both have come in handy with not only scraping product remnants but also when mixing repressed shadows.
I do have a cosmetic spatula and I never use it because I don't like it haha. I just don't like the idea of having to get out a spatula to scrape out some lip gloss every time I use it. The spatula can be hard to clean and it is a lot of effort for the small amount at the bottom. I also don't need lipgloss that badly :P
KitschSnitch For lipgloss perhaps not lol. I mostly use mine for $$ primers, eye primers, $$ or beloved creams...shit in awkward or tiny bottles. The old pre-squeeze-tube square glass Smashbox primer bottles...why?? You couldn't reach 1/4 of the product. They caught on tho. That was the catalyst for the spatulas years ago. I have 2 that largely go unused--odd shapes/ridges=annoying to clean--but my skinny smooth one is A+. In any sitch, loving seeing vids like these (using what u have up). It's motivational.
Yeah it definitely has it's place for many people. I just personally find it easier to cut open tubes, take out stoppers, or turn bottles upside-down and depot the product into an easier to use jar if I really want to use a product right to the last drop. I just found spatulas annoyingly messy.
Amazed/impressed on the panning of a perfume! I've been hoarding my collection for years and it's just ridiculous now! You've inspired me to just finish those bad boys up.
Yeah I hear you! I have so much makeup but doing project pans help me focus my attention and try to use things up before they go off. It is a satisfying feeling :)
Wow! So impressed by your ability to finish up powder - I've been trying to finish the Glossier Wowder for what feels like forever...I guess because I love the glossy look, I never seem to use a lot. You managed to finish up a ton this rotation
Your videos are always so motivating for me! I just went through my project pan box this morning. I've got a full face of makeup in a box and I'm only allowed to use that for the day to day. I need to add some lip items though.
You are panning goals! I have a palette and I still can't hit pan on one shadow, I have no idea how you hit pan on the NARS duo! Super cute how proud you are of the lip gloss. The kitty bath time is so sweet too :)
Ugh I'm trying project panning for the first time this year and colour products are killing me! Skin care and perfume are fine, but every thing else is hard. I've been trying to use them for work and my nicer stuff during the weekend. Right now I'm just hoping to hit pan on an eyeshadow lol. Your progress is inspiring, thank you.
Don't know, how you guys doing, but I already watched the video twice and still don't know was l what's going on because of this cute kitties in the back. 😍
Quite inspiring! You used up so much. I used a lot of expensive skincare last month and it’s a nice feeling to know you got your money’s worthy before it went bad. Also panned my first Tom Ford Lipstick. Panning it, it actually became my holy grail. So I immediately rebought it. Sometimes it really helps to force yourself to fall in love with products
I agree! It is such a great way to love what you have. I have discovered some gems that were sitting in a drawer for ages before I decided to pan it and love it. Well done! x
We're having a pretty warm week right now so its a bad comparison. haha. Also it is all relative. We have summers that are highs of 40+ degrees so days that are a top of 5 or 6 degrees is pretty cold for us and the infrastructure we have :)
Kat I've been meaning to ask you... do you have any recommendations for a brush to use with gel liner? I can't seem to find one that I can get a crisp tail on the wing. I end up using liquid for the tail and filling the rest with gel, and ain't nobody got time for that!
Oh that's a hard one. I use anything and everything. My general ones are MAC 209 or Sigma EO5 and brushes of that style. If those are dirty I use pretty much anything, thinner liner brushes, thin paint brushes I bought from an art store, lip brushes, angled brow brushes... you name it. Not all will give you a crisp tail but if you know your liner you can get a decent wing with many styles of brushes. You can find much thinner brushes than MAC 209 or Sigma E05 style brushes but they often are quite flexible and are sometimes hard to control, so there is a payoff with stability and thickness and I think the traditional liner brushes have that balanced well. There are some smaller liner brushes too that can help with precision, but I find they take aaaages to complete your liner and I simply can't be bothered. It does also come down to trying different styles of brushes and see what works best for you and the way you do your liner. Finding the "right" brush does help, but I also find that knowing your liner consistency is more important that the brush (for me anyway). If a liner is too dry it will look bumpy and thick, if it is too running it can be harder to control and fix any mistakes. Also how much you pick up on the brush can change how thick or thin it applies. I prefer to pick up a lot and the wipe a lot off so the brush is well saturated but not covered in product. By doing that you can also mould the tip of the brush into more of a point which really helps getting that crisp tail. Then apply with a light hand and build up where needed, if you apply too much straight away then you will need to create a really large wing to bring it to a crisp point (a mistake I do often when I am in a rush). So there are many more factors than just a brush, a good brush can help, but I think it's more important to find a liner that you can comfortably control and then play around and practice... and when you do that you can apply a wing with a toothpick.
Just hoping here to say thank you for talking about mixing product and (in a previous video) the maybelline age rewind concealer. Got the that and its getting me to start using up my fenty concealer and I'm reallllly loving them together.
Sometimes when I watch your videos I find my self just staring at you. Like mesmerized into a trance by how beautiful you are. Sorry if that’s creepy. Also I have a random question. Do you keep your empty fragrance bottles? They are such nice looking bottles I would have a hard time throwing them away when they are empty.
Haha thanks. I used keep ones that I was particularly fond of, but then I decluttered them when I did a big clean. I have a lot of clutter in my makeup/filming room just by the nature of testing a lot of makeup and having a lot of filming equipment, and annoyingly I hate clutter so I am always in a state of "I hate this mess but I need this mess! so I avoid keeping things unless they are useful.
I have the same issue with lip liner from kylie (my color is head over heels), and mine was not used that often, I don't remember if I even sharpened it, but every time I open the cap ten pencil inside slides out a bit
Hi kat. I have a few products with a lot of pan showing but when they get to the point where the product is gathered on the sides, I am going to throw it out. It doesn't seem productive for me to personally repress it. Does that count? Lol
Jajaja is true! But I strees me use some that I don't like or look bad in me. That make me more conscious what I buy. Now, I buy where I can return, when I don't like it o try in store before to buy. And I like proyect pan, now enjoy what I have and think, really need this new product? Nahhh
You used up so much!! How do you do it!? Also, I'm interested you say you use the Too Faced Peach Perfect foundation for non-filming days. I've wanted to try it, but the girl at Sephora said it was super high coverage (I prefer light/medium most of the time) so I shied away. What do you find?
Manuela G I have it too and do find its med/high coverage. You could sheer it out with some lighter foundation/moisturizer/primer, or use a damp sponge.
It is on the higher end of medium but I have a lot of redness so I need to use a minimum of medium coverage otherwise it looks like I am not wearing any makeup and what's the point? So yeah, if you don't like medium to high coverage foundations, it won't be for you... but sadly that is what I have to use on a daily basis.
I find the best way to apply a higher coverage foundation in a lighter way is to apply a small amount and buff it in with a dense foundation buffing brush/foundation kabuki brush xo

Go to 23:20 for some adorable cat background viewing.
Came for the makeup, stayed for the kittehs. 😜 Great progress, Kat!!
Seriously no idea how you do it Kat! I’ve been project panning for the last 6months and the only thing I’ve used up is mascara
She should do like a tips video for panning products!!

And I only used up one pressed powder & loose powder each so far 😅
When you talked about using Daisy as a room spray I had a teacher in middle school who'd spray Versace perfume as a room spray.
Precious kitties!!! Those eyes!
I’m so glad I found this channel. And thank you for introducing me to,”Project Pan.”
I try the proyect pan, but make me anxious 😅 so, modify for me. I don't buy a new product until to not finish one for category. Also try to buy mini versions to try first. Bronzers and blush take me forever to finish, so is a good option for me the minis.

I thought the same. I was really disappointed with benefit. A lot of their minis are different formulas 🤔
Your cats fighting/playing in the background are so cute!
i cant believe how much progress u make between these videos! 😱
i hit pan on the paarty blush! SO satisfying !! 💖💖
Girl, respect!! 💜
Hello, Kitty Kat. I cannot not comment on your videos and Hayley’s. You are just my favorites. Much love from our sunny Greece.
Naw thank you. Much love xo

Yay I love your project pans! You’re encouraging me to keep going on my mini project pan that I am doing privately xx
Not related to this specifically but I bought that little purple Viseart after your thorough and thoughtful video and I *love* it. Thank you, Kat!
Oh so glad you love it! 💜
I love how the cats randomly fight for like 5 seconds, freeze and stare at each other, then fight again for another 5 seconds 😂👌🏼🐱
Haha yeah I think they are letting each other know the boundaries... which is funny because there are two beds but they both sleep in one :P
Amazed/impressed on the panning of a perfume! I've been hoarding my collection for years and it's just ridiculous now! You've inspired me to just finish those bad boys up.
Also, what sunscreen do you recommend that doesn't mess with your make-up?
5:25 you are so cheeky!! 💕
Great video Kat
Your eyelook is so pretty, I never actually thaught of such a neutral lid with a colorful lower lash line. Raelly inspiring
Why do I love these so much?
Love the project pan series, Kat! Also, gotta say I bought Model Rock lashes and glue totally because of you, and that glue has made me a convert! 💖
Oh I am so glad you enjoy them xox
Mac blushes seem to take forever to pan, but a dent to a hole is pretty good. lol
can't stop staring at the cute kitty in the background
OMG There's two cute kitties!!!!!
Your cats in the background just made my day! It was awesome to watch this video with back-up entertainment ❤️
I'm doing one because of you lovely ladies. My blush is also paaarty!!!!! It's lost a little bit of it's design lol... But Bronzer is going great
The colourpop lippy stix are so easy to go through
Just going through my makeup now as I’m watching wanting to start a project pan. I just need to stop buying stuff, easy as I’m skint. xoxo
Love beauty news as well as both your channels
Thank you x
Awesome progress!!! Well done!!! It's so inspiring!!! I would repress the bronzer at this point. 😉
Your cats are adorable 💛
Your eyelook in this video is stunning!
I work at a cosmetics store. I literally don't think I've ever used up a product because I'm just always getting more stuff.
Yeah I hear you! I have so much makeup but doing project pans help me focus my attention and try to use things up before they go off. It is a satisfying feeling :)

Yeah I have oily skin so I do need to set my foundation pretty well otherwise my makeup melts off my face :)
Your videos are always so motivating for me! I just went through my project pan box this morning. I've got a full face of makeup in a box and I'm only allowed to use that for the day to day. I need to add some lip items though.

Hi Kat, I’d love to see a video of bronzers you love & also how to contour etc. Have a great night, thanks 💄
Short answer, whichever one I am panning :P
Too faced peach perfect is my ultimate foundation.
I love your project pan videos! I love how you describe the products and it keeps me motivated to keep panning!

I loved every bit of this. So soo many empties. Exciting empties. I loved the angry facial expression of the fluffy baby hahahah
Kat it's summer here and it's 13 C here!!! Rainy and dark. Think your winter is still warmer!!! 😱💖😎
Sabrina Prior we’ve had a weirdly warm winter. Which is a shame 😭
Sabrina Prior I had to look this up as we don’t use Celsius (I wish we did tho lol). If that’s Australia winter sign me up!

Love to see a video on this makeup look 🙂
Your cats are beautiful x
Love your cats 🐈 🐈 . I enjoy this project and I am in)
The cats have breakfast? 😂 It's lux in your house.
They have two breakfasts and two dinners haha

I love your brows can u do a tutorial on them please

Use what you love!!!! and don't buy until finish what you love. 😁
@@gracielag725 then there's no project pan. I guess I can do project pan on what I like lol

Final Cut Pro 😊
