I've been a sports fan my whole life and seen some amazing things... but that was hands down the most incredible and clutch thing that I have ever witnessed! Easily the best disc golf shot ever.
Some Wimbledon tennis finals going down to the wire are way more intense, but a big part of that is the extreme skill and fitness needed for tennis after sprinting for 5 hours to win a million pounds. But it was similarly exciting at the end there, and I like that disc golf isn't an athletics competition and is more down to earth
All the stars in the Universe aligned for James on 18, the bad tee shot, to Paul playing it smart and laying up, to Conrad throwing it in to tie, and Conrad winning in the playoff. That is hands down the best clutch I have ever seen.
Just goes to show, never lay up in the worlds! Especially the last few holes. After James hit the tree on his drive, I thought stick a fork in it. Paul won. Wow I was wrong!
not just 18 but the first playoff hole as well. That could have easily went to another hole but that insane shot on 18 earned conrad a place living rent free in pauls head and threw him off.
I keep coming back and I will do it again! I'm so happy that the live coverage has become so much better over the last year. Crazy moment and even Jomez can't give us the chills of this moment as well as the live coverage.
I know the shot has been played to death as a commercial, but I still like coming back to this video from time to time to just to re-live it. I have heard rumors that there is a guy in New Hampshire that is doubting that it was the greatest shot ever. But he has backpedaled slightly admitting that not only has he not seen it he does not know what disc golf is.
@@izumik283 When accounting for best shot all factors must be considered. James was throwing into the sun, full gallery, 250 putter turnover into ob everywhere, on a must make final shot to tie the 90th hole at the world championship. Highest pressure possible. I was lined up along the approach in front of the bleachers. Watching that disc fly past me and park itself in the basket, it instantly felt like the greatest shot. There wasn't a moment of doubt.
One of my favorite things is watching the replays with McBeth's expression. Like, "Of course he did that." And giving JC the fist bump when he ran back by him.
