thanks for checking out more of their music! I love the piano in this, Tyler's vocals sound very different to what they do now but I think it really suits this song in how kinda dramatic it is. Twenty One Pilots (self titled album) is the debut studio album from the band, it was self-released in 2009 and is the only album to feature the original line-up of Nick Thomas, Chris Salih and Tyler Joseph. Lots of Tyler's songs address his struggle with sleep as that is when his dark thoughts emerge, their later song 'Glowing Eyes' has the lyrics 'I'll kindly enter in to rooms of depression while ceiling fans and idle hands will take my life again. We live for the night's decor it reveals what we dream of.' which sounds related to the album artwork tyler's friend drew.
Thank you for bringing an open mind to the reacting game. It's refreshing. I have been a huge fan of Twenty One Pilots and I kept quiet about my guilty pleasure of K-pop and you made it seem o.k to like what you like. Great message. Really enjoy your diverse taste and fairness to all music. take care.
Excuse me if I miss heard, but thought I heard you say this song was 2015. This first album was from 2009. This song to me is Tyler wanting physical proof of Gods existence. Doubting/questioning his religious beliefs is a pretty common theme in the first record.
This album is the lyrical essence of Tyler, without the melodic arrangements added by Josh (who wasn't in the band yet)! He was softening and improving the vocals with each album, but the lyrics go deep!! Oh Ms Believer; Friend, Please and Trapdoor are amazing too!
He's having a conversation with God...demanding proof that he's real...
DEEP.
self titled is my favorite album lyrically. i love every song on it!
My older brother was telling me the same thing once he saw me post this!
Lol, pausing it JUST before he starts singing. 😂
Hey thereee, big fan of your videos man, always 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you Mateus! Greatly appreciate this

I think I was confused by the date it was posted on UA-cam. Thank you for the help here!
They just dropped a new album last week- should check it out!
🔥 reminds me of Pink Floyd or Queen.
