I ran into her and her family at the DC tournament in 2017 (was actually staying at the same hotel). They weren’t super nice or friendly to the workers at the hotel nor the fans at the tournament.
I was at the same tournament. Kikis family seemed somewhat cold but she herself was really nice with me, she was great w the ball kids

The mother was especially cold and rude. I remember her berating a Starbucks employee because Kiki’s chocolate croissant wasn’t ready fast enough, despite it being the middle of the morning rush and there was a line almost out the door.
I remember Errani and Vinci after winning doubles match final in Stuttgart 2014. After ceremony was finished with almost all lights be gone... just imagine they already had started picking up the chairs... there was 10 maximum 15 kids with their hands hanging out of metallic bannister holding souvenirs tenis balls to ask for a signature... they were waiting like 20 minutes... In the mean time Errani was making fun with a plastic toy car, Vinci too... I also waited for an autograph... but as time was passing i start to feel like an idiot... Anyway... once they were close to the exit despite kids waiting for them 20 minutes and despite calling their names outloud and despite the distance among two sides wasnt more than 3 metres... Suddenly they disappeared... the whole time they didnt even looked to kids side... I was watching that and i felt even more idiot also waiting for them... Wouldnt cost something to make a few kids happy...

For Muguruza wasnt funny cause she lost money etc... But it was so hypocritic... from then on her name is saolin fighter. Cause she use all spiritual and kind powers to salute her opponent while she can fight really really hard.

In my opinion, everything was wrong in that period, not just on the court. If your player has all this problems, she clearly needs some weeks of stop. They could keep working on her forehand, backhand and serve in that weeks to help her regaining the confidence that she needed. It has no sense if she plays constantly tournaments and constantly loses.

Yikes. That was hard to watch. Kiki is just not good on hardcourts in singles. And she’s done so well in doubles. Also that was messed up that Sasnovich had more unforced errors in that one match and still LOST. I mean she’s never been that great of a singles player anyway. I still like her though. Ive always been curious about Kiki. I know I can't prove this but someone should look into it. With all these losses it suspiciously looks like match fixing. Think about it. She serves all those double faults into the net, all her returns go out, and she always looks disinterested. How can you be that bad in singles and win Grand slam doubles titles? It never makes any sense to me. You have players on the ITF circuit who play more determined than her.

- Many 'Grand Slam winners' at Roland Garros when it was only open to club members of the host country
(e.g. Vacherot, Decugis, Masson, Matthey, Lenglen)
- Many gifted/talented players who completely underperformed
(e.g. Tsonga, Monfils, Gasquet, Noah, Paire)
Despite hosting 1 of the 4 Grand Slam tournaments, France barely has a tennis history worthy of that name.
Only Mauresmo and somewhat Pierce (with more downs than ups).
I think that's pretty poor for such a huge 'founding' country of the sport.
