Buses on Iceland

An impression of buses on Iceland. The Reykjavik area has an extensive network of urban and suburban bus routes. Not surprising as two-thirds of the 370.000 inhabitants lives in that area. The second largest town is Akureyri with almost 18:000 residents, but with a free citybus service. VDL buses are popular on Iceland both as city bus and long distance travel and regular bus. Iveco and Scania citybuses can also be seen in Reykjavik and Akureyri. Reykjavik also has a batch of electric Yutong buses in uses.
