According to company it's 10k kms. I personally can give a nice experience of 9 k kms. During my K2K ride I used it. It was awesome. It's good for liquid cooled engine
Two things that contributed to your oil consumption problem. First is that the high mileage, low oil capacity, air cooled engine has undoubtably a large amount of carbon and sludge in the engine. The Liqui Moly was breaking down those deposits and as a result was freeing the piston rings which allowed a temporary increase in oil consumption. Second, the Liqui Moly is one of the most stable oils and as a result was penetrating the old deposits even after 3000km where as the previous oils would thicken after 1000km or 2000km at most. Thicker oils are more resistant to getting past the piston rings. I would wager that if you would continue to use the Liqui Moly that the oil consumption will taper off after the engine deposits are cleaned. I would increase my oil change intervals to 2000km since even the most expensive oil is still cheaper than a new engine. The majority of damage has been done and most in not reversible, but that is no reason to give up and continue damaging the engine. A single liter of oil in a wet clutch air cooled engine in city driving needs to be changed more frequently than 3800km. For comparison, my KTM has an oil change interval of 5000km for highway use and it has a 2 liter capacity and is water cooled. For city use my interval drops to 3000km.
