As someone, who was raised with this game I can tell one thing - new generation will not understand this game. This was super addictive. In fact, got it installed again last year and have not launched it yet, because I know how fast it will drag me back :)
I raised with that, met few people with whom I have contact till this day and even hosted some clan servers :) I remember hosting one alongside TS2 server on a single PC with 512MB of RAM :D

In my childhood, it was the FPS in which I definitely spent the most time. Beautiful times... it's a pity that they will never come back. I still remember that the Single Player version - RTCW, was the first game on my first PC in 2002
Never played this one back in its day, I did get this one from GOG a few years back. Decided to play it Saturday evening, had a good time, played for a good two hours. Kinda miss when online games were like this with community hosted dedicated servers, wish I played it back then.
omg I use to play on r*x euro server for years but moved to Canada two years ago and learned my old clan went dead after some inactivity :( saw one of our old members in your video and that made my day :D
Spent so many hours playing this. Tried to get my frieds to play but no one wanted go give it a shot. Its a shame cuz this game had a different feeling from any other shooter I played till this day, besides TF2 before been free
Oh man I miss this game so much. I remember playing it on at least 200/300 ping cause there were no local servers, and then ending up on oldschool aimbot servers without an aimbot 😅
One funny thing that once happened to me like in 2013 was getting banned from a server cause of aimbot when in reality i was just aiming really good on that day. A guy warned me to stop "aimboting" and I didnt know what else to say
Game was great in the early days (7 mines on defence was daft though). Around a year in eastern europe came “online” then suddenly cheaters everywhere. Still, a great game.
From someone that played this gem of a game for many years...( and I still play nowadays ) let me tell you that you need a cfg so you can see everything clear...seriously let me know if you need a cfg. Cool video btw. Cheers
Huge reason i have hard time with any other games thats arnt rta mm or halo3 when bungie was in power mm matchmaking… crazy fair it was (except the rank 38 squad battle or big team battle then people cheated (stupid xboxmicrosuck exploits) and i couldnt ever play again really broke my heart) Same for being one of the best in the world at leagu of legends 14 years ago Matchmaking ruins almost everygame for me bungie halo ranked had it good system no idea how they pulled some of it off (like new accounts speeding thru the ranks with win sprees was amazing not letting them too low too long like league of legends used to keep me stuck in silver even tho i was crazy good (in halo3 each time i learned a new trick i ranked up so much from it (like corner grenade wall while being chased) was epic game Wolfenstein sadly its the bots i think ruined it for me and always getting banned for talking too much good for vegan activim tho… fucking hate people who talks but doesnt educate themselves.. its ok to be ignorant in 99% of the world things but admit when you dont know and maybr ask questions (so many fkin vegan documentaries over 40 of them no fkin excuses for ignorance

ET Legacy is the best, but it’s code is bloated AF. So many plans that haven’t materialized and their devs use so many different tools amongst themselves - it’s like Baskin Robbins. Need to prioritize getting Rend2/Vulkan working. ETe was able to do it...by that thing is really built just for Enemy Territory Fortress.

Because of the voice comms this game gave a true community vibe that ive never seen in any other game.

Years ago I had a dream set in the snow map. I can't recall much, but the setting was a surprise and that's what I remember.

I enabled joystick support but it just doesn't work with my xbox controller properly. How can I use the stick to look around?
