I feel like it's because we are a bit more desensitized to the fictional cannibalism and murder which happens too many times in horror games, even though it's really messed up. We go from disgust and fear to ''Oh that happened, should've seen that one coming.''

Andrew is *not* obsessed with his sister. his sister is *obsessed* with him. you can have abusive toxic unhealthy relationships with anyone & Ashley is no exception, there is every sign of a toxic abuser & their relationship has literally been Ashley *grooming* & blackmailing Andrew their entire childhood & on. Andrew is so desensitised to it he doesn't see the issues. if you swapped the positions of who is abusive & who's the victim no one would blame Ashley but because it's reversed everyone says that Andrew likes it or that he wants the abuse. people love &/or protect their abuser all the time it's sad but it's true.

In the flashback with his ex-gf he asks her if she could tie her hair up into a ponytail and then claims that pulling on girls' hair is "how boys show their love", Ashley has a ponytail and Andrew is sometimes seen casually playing around with her hair.
In the flashback after they find Nina's body, he exclaims "they're going to take *you* away from *me* " which sounds a pretty possesive but isn't nearly as bad as him literally saying " *my ashley* summoned a demon on her first try" after watching the cult meeting.
Every time Ashley jokes about being with other men he gets irrationally pissed about it, such as when she jokes about going with the neighbor or when she jokes about putting her number up to get some easy money (he instantly gets so irrationally mad about this that he completely forgets the fact that she doesn't have a phone in the first place).
Oh, and also *the fact that he literally put his hand on her ass without even conciously noticing it‽*

Andrew and Ashley are kind of obsessed with each other in different ways. Ashley is jealous of any female near him and fiercely possessive over him. She hangs off of him and initiates most physical contact (that we’re aware of) and will do ANYTHING to keep his attention. So then, how is Andrew considered obsessed with Ashley? Well he will kill for her; every time. Ashley IS his main priority even if he pretends she’s not and we even saw him asking his girlfriend to put her hair up (and Ashley is ALWAYS having her hair up). He’ll do anything she asks him too even before they had the blood pact he would easily bend to her will. While Ashley is obviously the initiator and the more obsessed of the two, I don’t think we can really count out the fact that Andrew, time and time again, will kill, defend, and yearn for his sister’s affection. So

There is another ending you missed. To get it you need to have Ashley stay with the parents to set up the ritual. The route will change entirely.

@@13.GorgeousThe first ending that Lauren got isn’t an option in that route, the mom doesn’t call them out on “loving” each other, Andrew doesn’t eat the parent soup and he doesn’t hold the trinket with Ashley in the bed.
Those are the main differences as well as some minor dialogue changes and cgs.

Lauren is well aware she has younger viewers and whether it was intended or not, she is still exposing them to it. The game itself is bad. It's just edgy and emo. It's boring. It lacks any real plot it's just two incestuous siblings running around killing people and summoning demons
