I just secured a NOS Ryde Trace25 Tubeless 15 x 100 12 x 142 wheel set with Orion 8 M3100 hubs for $160 shipped. Will be using TA adapters for the Taff Comp 141 Boost frame. I thought about building my own with these Koozers but when I caught this deal I couldn't resist. Hubs alone can go for over $100 each
That is a nice Hub, I was using a 135mm hub but I went back to the stock wheel because I started to hear weird noises on the frame. So this is a good choice, thanks for sharing this with the community
same as mine. im using 141 boost qr. i got a weird noises. i think its the freehub with pawls once i relube and regrease. its fine but its only last 3days or 1week it goes noise again. reply asap. i need your feedback on this one. THANKS
Have been using the same rear hub (although with a through axle) for almost 4 years now (as a direct replacement for the failed stock one on my 2016 DB Mission 1). Works great! Good luck with getting your wheel built!
Thanks, the "standards" in the bike world can be confusing when your green. I have another unlabeled hub that's marked M9x141, and the axle measures 9.4mm with a 4.5mm skewer. 🤷
Hey will this hub 10x142 QR fit in my frame? I've 10x135mm I've 1x12 speed drivetrain so I want to get wider hub for correct my chainline and wide tyres clearance.
This hub will not fit. You have to match the hub to your frame. You can correct the chainline by using the proper non-boost crankset or front chainring.
Hey Tony, I got the wtb i30 rims and the koozer hub but different calculators give me different lengths for the spokes, and what lacing pattern did you use?
For those looking for a more budget 141QR hub, research Shimano FH-MT401-b (microspline body) and FH-MT500-b (microspline body) and FH-MT200-b (HG body).
I considered them but would have to buy a new cassette for the microspline version and they were not sealed bearings. At the time none were in stock either. Great price on them though
All the measurements are in the description above. The flange to flange measured 61mm not 60 as stated in the video. It's correct on the sheet shown.

I rode the xm490 wheel set for a few months and was really impressed

Thanks, really seems like a good hub. Good to know it will last
Do you remember what the axle diameter and length was? @2:10 the o.d. of the caps looks like 10mm, so im assuming its a 5mm QR?
It’s 10x141mm, the 5mm refers to the the skewer so the description sometimes mentions both.

Thanks for info 👍 it’s definitely a bastard size.
Can this be converted to 12x148 with end caps ?
What cassette are you using? Can this hub work with a 12 speed cassette?
It's a standard HG hub. Any HG Cassette from 8s-11s will fit as well as SRAM SX and NX 12speed. I am using an NX 12 speed on it.
@@TonyHob Thanks man! I got my wheel back from the lbs. I'm able to fit a sunrace MZ90 11-50 12 spd on this hub. 🤘
Does this fit to any 12s cogs in the market?
can I ask the size I need for a front Hub replacement size for my schwinn axum
If you are using the stock fork you will need a non-boost 9mm QR hub
Hey Tony, I got the wtb i30 rims and the koozer hub but different calculators give me different lengths for the spokes, and what lacing pattern did you use?
three cross pattern. The same happened to me but they were only different by about 1 mm
What length spokes did you use?
293 and 292. Your ERD might be different though
I found some dt swiss knock off with 36h, considered building a set with the stock axum rim but got lazy lol
That sounds promising! Would love to be able to use the Schwinn rims
@@TonyHob sent you a dm with the link
Can you share the link for the 36h hub please? Thanks in advance
Links from others are blocked automatically to prevent spam but this is what Keo sent me www.ebay.com/itm/183315608951
They only have it in XD currently
How is the XM490 hub holding up? I'm in need of a new 142mm OLD 29 mtb wheel and considering the XM490 with a welded rim (Ibis or DT Swiss).
It’s holding up great so far. No problems whatsoever
@@TonyHob Good news! Thanks for the reply.
Buy the pro version, it has a cromoly axle
I have Cube aim 2020 6 bolts and qr will this fit on my rims and frame? It's 32H
I don’t think so
what is the skewer size for this hub?
5MM
