Jeff Beck was put on this earth to interpret music into a single language the world could love and enjoy. He fulfilled his reason for existence. God has brought us many like Jeff, but their numbers are dwindling, sadly. To imagine a 71 year old person on stage jamming to a song he likely never heard before and performing it in perfect style. It is rare, very rare indeed! Thank You Jeff Beck for entertaining us all these years and May God Bless You for knowing what your life's purpose was. I hope you enjoyed the ride Brother!!!! I did!!!

“La Grange” is a stone cold Rock n Roll CLASSIC that had been around for over 40 years when this gig was recorded!
Jeff Beck would’ve known ZZ’s albums inside out! Musicians like Beck are *soaked* in music! It’s not a hobby for them, it’s their life…their reason for existing!

this is my all time fave ZZ Top number. As to the exalted master of the Strat (and the Tele & Les Paul and pretty much anything else with a pickup and six strings), Jeff Beck - my theory is that at some point, probably quite early on, the electric guitar became less of an instrument and more of an appendage to him. It was part of his body. I think of Hendrix in the same vein. There are others, but it was these two that built the foundation back in '65, '66 and '67.

That was ridiculously great by Beck - I think ZZ Top were surprised how good he was. Ripped it up
