In 1968 I was 16 and saw him at a hippy place on Miami Beach called Thee Image. Yardbirds had broken up and he introduced his new lead singer, MR. Rod Stewart!! Concert was $1.50, the house band was The Blues Image featuring Mike Pinera. Great times👍👍🤠 and just 3 months later saw Jimmie Page and Led Zepplin at Pirates World for $2.50!!!!
A whole new level, maybe…but not sure if it was for the better. I know Beck was awesome and he's gone so I'm probably gonna get dunked on but that outro lead was nowhere near in context. It felt like someone playing Skynyrd leads to Sad But True.
