Script writer here this is one of my more lackluster scripts it was only like three pages long and I ran out of ideas past the log entry beginning I am so glad scratch was able to salvage it so thank you and if your are wondering the third arm is a reference to a large alien that is nearly indestructible (I’ll let you all guess)

I just tested Audacity 3.6.1 and it opens mp3 alright. My SFX library too. Maybe something in the settings? Missing codec?

@@ScratcheffVA Apologies but I do not have much experience with Audacity. Just updated it to see if it's a problem with new release or maybe something else. Personally I use Davinci Resolve (free version) - it's more video than sound editing software and learning curve is a bit steep sometimes but it's sound processing aspect is quite powerful and includes its own SFX database.

i use davinci to put the audio and video together :) i dont think i could learn the audio editing part of it

@@ScratcheffVA I think You could. It's just that You do not want to waste time on that since Audacity usually does what You want it to do and You are already familiar with it. It would be probably easier to find out why Audacity isn't working with Your mp3s than to learn whole new program.

Audasity is the problem. Not you. Trust me. I had to use it in a history class with my friend and it was a mess. That was also the time I was told of 6 times by one teacher and 5 times by another because of my colourful language.
