  • Come with us on a tour of the new Daphne Steele Building, the first development on our National Health Innovation Campus in Huddersfield.
From September, the new building will be home to our Health Professional degree courses including midwifery, nursing, occupational therapy, operating department practice, paramedic science, physiotherapy, podiatry, and speech and language therapy.
The new campus will include world-leading research facilities and public-facing clinics.
This innovative WELL Platinum standard building has been carefully designed to advance the health and wellbeing of those using it.
The building is named after Daphne Steele, who was the UK’s first black matron. She emigrated to the UK from Guyana in the 1940s.
The new Campus is a transformative project for the people of the region. It will improve health outcomes and lead innovation in healthcare for the north of England, the UK and internationally.
