This is their most popular mv it has over 100 million, it's not even the title track! This came out in the year they debuted so they're all babies :)
FYI, MontaX are not just on a rooftop in Seoul in their "Hero" MV. It is actually a helipad -- where a helicopter lands. (You see the big H in the middle because that is the universal symbol for a helicopter landing zone. Which coincidentally worked out well because the song is called "Hero.") So normally, a helicopter would land there and the people would either get out of the helicopter, or there would be people there waiting to get in the helicopter, etc. Often in large cities those helipads are owned by hospitals in order to be able to airlift patients in and out of the hospital in emergency situations. (However, seeing as they were able to film at this location, it is more likely that this helipad was owned by a cooperation or big company because they were able to use it without worrying about interfering with a hospital emergency, etc.) That's why it's so high in the air and why it's so far above all the other buildings in the area. That's also why there are no railings or walls around the edge because the helicopter needs an unobstructed flat surface to land on. If you look at one of the high overhead shots at the beginning during the day time shots you will see that there is a hole in the floor off to one side, which is a trap-type door and my guess is that leads to a stairway or ladder or elevator as a way to access the landing zone.
This was tough for wonho as he has really bad vertigo, he will go wobbly legged and fall down when affected by both this (or bursting balloons). He wasn’t allowed to beef and really tried to tone but not bulk as slim was still desired by the company. He didn’t have as much freedom as he can now and was told they didn’t want his “fat cheeks” - rude. We love his soft bunny cheeks. but what starship did to these guys during their creation was truly brutal. If you want am original band creation story where it’s akin to actual trauma watch no mercy. (Also seventeen as kids facing what was essentially child abuse). But bad company aside, I know you’ve watched a lot of their harder/moody related mvs so may I suggest their lighter cute ones with Newton, Perfect Girl, amen. Others have also said about Stuck which was the song that finally hooked me in. Also add in someone’s someone, find you, middle of the night, you can’t hold my heart and wonho loosing you which was his song to his fans (Wenee) as a pre release before his solo debut and that hit the fans hard after everything he went through and there is a full English version.
Monsta x lore and the clan story runs through from ‘All In’ to ‘Find you’ but with wonho now missing from the set up and shownu had to start his civil service I dont know if they will pick up that mantle anytime soon.
They did a Halloween version of a relay dance for Follow too! You should check it out it’s really fun lol. They mess around in that one.

This was such a cool song - I'm impressed you got the Mario reference (the lyrics also talk about "saving the princess")... Also Baby- monstas are so cute! I think the biggest difference over time was in Wonho (because of his muscles) and in I.M (because he was literally a teenager then!) Great reaction, as always!
This song was HUGE in 2015 and it's how I got to know them. It's still one of my favourite songs and probably the song where Kihyun's vocals hit me the hardest, I'm not sure why but the prechorus just HITS.

Oh yeah, their older songs are more EDM sounding than their current stuff but they all are bangers no lie. If you want to see another costume dance but with a little more goofing around I would recommend their Follow dance. The vide I think is labeled Monsta X Follow Gap Crush by the channel 1theK. You will enjoy it a lot :)
Lmao, I'm probably I'm one of the most if not the most annoying commenter/subscriber you have and for that I'm sorry 😅😅 I just like leaving new Monbebe/reviewers little tidbits of info on Monsta X. So looking at Wonho now compared to when the group first debuted he doesn't seem muscular but back then he (as well as Shownu) were considered very muscular (they did have abs and arm muscles but just not as defined as now) for Kpop idols and are part of the reason (the other being their sound) why theyre called 3rd Generation Beast Idols in Korea. Also, Wonho has a severe fear of heights and had to take some acrophobia medication in order for him to dance on the rooftop. Monsta X definitely has grown and honed their sound and style as artists. They've created their own sound and have influenced a lot of 3rd Gen groups that came after them as well as 4th and emerging 5th Gen groups and I'm very proud of them for that. Once again thank you so much for reviewing and sorry for the long comments, I just really love Monsta X.😅🥰

Totally true, it was extremely uncommon to see kpop idols that weren't super slim at that time, when Wonho buffed up even more you started seeing more idols go with more a fitness body shape if they wanted to. Many idols in the past were told to not exercise too much so they didn't look bulky because it wouldn't be attractive or look weird with the other members, but it seems to be becoming more common (though not to Wonhos level). Although I'm sure a lot of idols are still told not too put on too much weight/muscle.
the hate they got for being fit was ridiculous, but the dynamics of fandoms and fanwars/fandom conflict are just like that, almost aways petty and shallow reasons behind it... of course coming from a smaller company made them "easy target" to bigger fandoms

Glad you got to this one. It's so fun to watch them in this one. They've commented in interviews that they had to perform this one a lot and got a bit tired of it. It's still great to see them, and the video is really cool. Not sure which tracks you still have on your to-do list that you haven't seen yet, but I'm looking forward to more MX content. Also, are you maybe watching No Mercy (the group's origin show) on your Patreon?

Wait!!!? LOL You can only be a vampire if you're tall? I never knew their was a height requirement. I've never seen a vampire movie or story where the vampires say, "Sorry I can't bite you because you are too short -- we only allow tall people in our club." 😉(Whew, at least I know I'm safe. I'm only 5'1 so if I ever encounter a vampire they will just leave me alone, right?)

Fun fact: hero is a song that monsta x hate the most😂😂 they have a long promotion and then there's a japanese ver. for Japan tour. That's why the members is so sick of this song lol (said in one of the interview but I forgot when)
