I've had this tank before, and you got most of the nitpicking correct! The lid could be a bit wider to keep the gap from forming, and the flow rate can be easily reduced with sponge. Thanks for sharing Kasia, and congrats on 100K!
Useful tip. If you unclip the side mini sponge, there is a tab on the right side of the filter box that you can lift up and to gain access to the ceramic rings for cleaning or to change the orientation of the filter media. I change mine to wear a third-party sponge would be first.
You're not nitpicking. These people go through a photo-selecting process anyway, so why not just pick appropriate pictures? It's not that hard and it sets a good example. When will they ever learn? Cool tank, though. Thanks for keeping up the series.
Hi Kasia, I agree with you regarding the lid, hopefully when you and the ladies do you scape a thon you can show us whether or not a 50W heater fits in that compartment in the filter. Happy Easter, see you on Wednesday. Thank you from NYC
I'll definelty test out a heater although I might have aquatop send me their heater to try as well if there is enough time to ship it before Wednesday.
Looks to be a nice tank. My nitpicks would be the lid and the fact that it's called an All In One kit, but it requires you to buy a heater. If they're going the extra mile and including a glass lid, why not make it fit snug? I've seen nano fish jump out of an absolutely tiny corner hole when startled (less than 1cm by 1cm) and I had vietnam flashbacks looking at the gaps around the side and the rather large feeding holes (2 of them for some reason?)
I do like Aquatop tanks, they're excellent quality. However, to use this tank without the kit filter, you would remove the plastic box. But then you couldn't use the included light. A definite design flaw. I have other Aquatop LEDs and I'm pleased with them. I will not be purchasing this tank.
I like your review. I feel like the heater should be included in the kit as it obviously must fit in a limited space in the filter. It seems like not just any heater would fit.
I like it. I like that the filter is separate and can be removed if you choose to go with something else, it would be nice if on the motor they had the flow control dial. The only thing I don’t like about it or the corners and the gaps on the lid, it would’ve been nice if the lid was shaped to fit the tank, especially since it’s advertised as a beta tank and they are jumpers, shrimp and snails like to crawl as well and I can see that being an issue but overall it’s pretty nice and the heater compartment in the filter is awesome, so you basically have no cords hanging in your tank. I wish they would’ve done a little better job on the lid, I would probably get some black plastic and cut it to shape and Apoxsee it to the glass with a handle and a cover the edges but you’re right about the gaps, it just would be nicer if they made that lid fit tighter right out of the box, other than that I like it. The shrimp protectors or a little bulky as well I would probably just get a large port sponge and jam it down in there so it’s pushing out on the intake holes instead of using that but it looks nice and I like the way they did the bent glass. At first I thought it was going to be acrylic which would end up scratched and looking horrible after a while. I’m not a fan of the smaller tanks because of size but they could get that up to about an 8.5 gallon or bigger I think it would be pretty cool.
That's a great review Kasia. I was just wondering if you've tested the touch sensitive light on a timer. It's a great looking tank, very similar to the fluval spec V. There is quite a variety of fish and invertebrates I'd put in, not all at once, 😁: female betta, pea puffer, sparking gourami, ember tetra, chilli rasbora, male endlers, a honey gourami, or just a colony of shrimp.
Hi 😊👋 ?? Question?? , I am liking this tank after watching your review. I m looking for a tank to get started raising some cherry shrimps as pets.. ??? I have a question about the little shrimp filter sponges included in the tank.. Can you replace the sponges if needed in any way?.? I hope you are doing OK. I ran across your channel recently and understand you deal with some health issues. I have many health issues.. Auto immunity runs in my family. I don't know if that's what you have going on with you , but I hope you feel better or at least have more good days!
I have this tank but I removed the filter box. I couldn’t stand it. I put a prefilled sponge on it but it still just wasn’t any good. I have a Fluval tank with same type of filter box but can’t remove it. So at least I was able to remove it from the aqua top tank. Thanks for sharing.
Good video of tank, I Google info for the heater but I couldn't find it. Google just gives info of what people looked into to purchase with tank but no heater, is very important also to buy. If you can text me the info I'll be very helpful, Thank you.
Nice looking tank, neat size for a desktop. I like that theres space for a heater in the back. I really like it. Sadly we dont have aquatop here in the UK. I'd probably have to look at sonething like the fluval spec. Loved the video, thanks Kasia👍😊
Hi I’ve just purchased an Aqua one 36 from pets at home and it’s more or less identical to the one Kasia is showing. Only difference I can see is the edge isn’t bevelled. I have the 10 gallon and they also do a 5. It’s a lovely looking tank, I’ve yet to set it up but I will put my own sponge in the filter, won’t use cartridges and think I will need to baffle the flow a little on the output for the Betta I plan to get.
@@Becks-fi6xl yeah looked at the aqua one looks a nice tank. Was affordable too. I might buy that one. I also looked at aquael shrimp set on proshrimp. Was a cube. I definitely like the look of the aquaone though. Thanks Becks😊
Hi what is you overall thoughts on this 5 gall tank, been thinking about one, some say the longer tank doesn’t get enough water movement at the far end, and have some stagnant water setting on top, not sure though, want to put few guppies probably in it, does it filter well? Looks like the filter intake is on the bottom not the top like the fluval 5 gallon . Just trying to decide . Thanks for any feedback.
They are actually pretty good. I have their other tanks and they are well made and their hang on back filters for nano tanks are my favorite nano hob filters.
Thanks for the review!! I'm really enjoying my little Nano Nook in my own home!! Always looking at what's available out there!! I can't wait to see the Aquascape and who you're going to have joining you!! I'm guessing Joanna for one and maybe Taylor 😁🤔 I'm definitely in on seeing what you're going to give away... Maybe 🤔😁😂 I really enjoyed you on Aquatic Morning Show this morning as well!! I hope you have a very blessed day my friend! 🙏🌿🐟🌿❤️🥰
I was thinking the same about the photos on the box too - especially since the baby form of both those fish is super cute and could easily mislead a beginner about their eventual size. 😊 At least they refer to the Nitrogen Cycle on the literature, which is good. 😊 I'd worry about shrimp crawling out of those corners. 🤔
Thanks for reviewing this tank. It is one I have been considering. For the corner cutouts in the glass lid, I would just put that end on the filter side if that's possible. Will help prevent jumping
I like that it comes with a nosel to project the air some where else. It’s a really nice tank I don’t trust myself with something small and glass, but it’s really cute
Congratulations on 100K! You deserve it. That is a nice tank, and a great idea to put pothos in the lid gap. Looking forward to see what you're going to do with this tank scape wise. I would buy it and use it for a shrimp and snails only tank. 👍❤👍
Thank you for this video! I’m a first time tank owner and I have this tank but the curved version! I wasn’t sure how the filter should be in the tank and this review helped a lot!👏🏾 thank you!
I’ve made filters just like that quite a few times it’s up instead of using motors anymore I use of bubbler for undergo a filter just so it doesn’t massacre the shrimp and I like my trip to go in those my baby shrimp anyways it’s like a nursery
I think the concept of this tank is nice, i would like it a little big bigger i prefer 5 gallons of water after aquascaping and not 5 gallons empty. Also only for long fins i think its too small for plakat/wild types (i mean out of breeding purposes, as a pet). I would like to try it for shrimps through, especially because you dont necessarly need a heater that would also take space Last thing is i think its too bad we cant lower the filter current directly and that we have to do it ourselves

Nice betta tank and can't wait to watch the collaboration. Sounds very exciting.

Cant find the tab, is it with newer models? Cant find a way to open the filter to get to the rings
@@mypins4life19 I'm not sure about the models. If you look on the right side there should be a tab that you can lift up on.

can you give me a female betta please

How do i open the filter to remove ceramic rings???
Deciding between this tank and either the Fluval Spec V 5 gallon or the Fluval Flex 9 for my male Plakat Betta. Any thoughts on these tanks?

What about the flow? Don't you think it's too strong for a betta?
Do you think the size limits the filter you can choose if you decided to go with another one.
Isn't aquatop like a cheapo walmart brand? I'm only asking because those tanks cost fluval prices. I do like the aesthetics though.

Nice little tank. Surprised it says it can hold 5 gallons.
Slick tank very stylish!! Good unboxing
I'm wondering if the lid could be flipped around so the cut off corners would be over the filter side?
So it's like the fluval spec 5 gallon...but less good.
I wish that the light had a toggle switch instead so that we can use our own timers.
Can the lid be inserted the other way around so that the gaps are on the side of the filter. ?
Neat! I would move the light to the other side as it doesn’t extend that far across the tank and no need to have light on the filter.
What a useless filter!
Congrats on 100k!
Thank you so much!
wish it was available in the uk
