What a great video! A couple years ago, I got into the coin ring hobby. Seeing a video on making liberty bell style bells from 2 half dollar coins, I decided to give it a try. Just as in the your video, it was a time consuming process, but the finished product was beautiful and had a wonderful ring to it! Showing it to my wife brought an unexpected request for several to give as Christmas gifts! That was the week before thanksgiving, and due to word of mouth (my wife’s!), by the end of the year I’d made a bunch (I stopped counting at 80!) for people who’d seen or heard about them and wanted one or more. Most ladies put them on necklaces and wore them as pendants. The end result? I got so sick of making them that I finally sold all my bell and coin ring making equipment! Kudos to this man! Nobody can fathom the time and care it takes to craft these bells! Excellent work Sir!
If you have an inquisitive mind this is a good watch - you will learn something. What this man does is fantastic. Is he passing his knowledge on? Something else that concerns me is that he has all this kit, a fantastic collection of equipment to do the job - He is getting old & we all knows what eventually happens. Has anyone thought of what to do with the set up. If not what could happen is - those that are left have no interest in the "Art of Bell Making" & eventually get rid of all this equipment in dribs & drabs or an auction & so ends the art of bell making.. Please prove me wrong.
