    I can't believe that more Studebakers weren't sold in much higher numbers, I think it is a very handsome car!

      I was around when these cars came out but, too young to drive. I definitely would have been a Studebaker owner had I been able to drive. My grandfather was a die hard Oldsmobile man. You couldn't get him to consider anything else.

      I was lucky enough to learn how to drive a 1959 Studebaker Skylark, stick on the column. I was practicing for my learner permit, so my dad was with me. It was baby blue four-door. It belong to my dad so when I so when I went into my senior year of high school, he got me a used 1961 Nash rambler and I loved that car. He painted it bright red lol lol!

    My family had an early/mid 50's DeSoto. It was light blue and white. It was huge! Certainly wish it wasn't sold. It was handed down frommy mother's family.

      I T-Boned a 1954 DeSoto with my brand new 1964 Dodge Dart. I dented the DeSoto's right front door. I had to replace the Dart's bumper, grille, headlights, radiator, fan, water pump, battery, hood, and both front quarter panels.

    The Golden Age of American Automobiles with names like De Soto, Studebaker & Oldsmobile.
    Sadly, our roads are now overrun with foreign jalopies: Nissan, Volkswagen, Kia, etc...😩

    Stunk on ice! Only watched this to see the most iconic American car ever made--57 Chevy Bel Air! What a joke! WHERE was it?

    • @gordonhaire9206
      @gordonhaire9206 10 місяців тому

      It was only the first half of the 50s. Except he didn't show the bullet nose Studebakers. The 57 chevy may be iconic, but it was still ugly. He also failed to show the T-Bird and Vette.

    So why must there be that stupid 'frame' around the picture? You are WASTING space, and especially where you brag about the quality?

  • @gordonhaire9206

    With the exceptions of the T-Bird, Corvette, bullet nosed Studebakers, and the Hawks, 1950s cars were UGLY.

    • @erin19030
      @erin19030 10 місяців тому

      Ugly car clearly describes todays cars , styled to look like rodents, with Big Brothers as you co-pilot.
