    Maybe consider recording on an a normal 16:9 resolution as you can't see your desktop.

      yeah, this whole thing was becasue someone said it would be better to see the whole width instead of the 21 by 9 i usually record on.

    I think its important with PI to keep the connections between buildings as short as possible(not including the individual extrators), shorter connections lets you make much more extrators as they are quite resource intensive.

    • @aloneinfinland
      @aloneinfinland  4 місяці тому

      Ive seen people say that, bit ive never had a connection that can be short enough it allows me to build more. But im not an expert, i just slowboat harvest for the additional things i need for some construction.

    Very dangerous for new players to do this tbh. Your jumping a dst into heavily trafficked lowsecs to a structure you don’t own, it’s good isk though relatively high risk industry if your new to how the game works.

      not everything is or should be aimed at new players. new players can worry about learning to fly properly and manage their budgets

      yeah, i get that! And your right it is dangerious. but lowsec is the only route for reactions, and the dst is the most effective ship for that jump with that size. I usually do lowsec in a blocade runner, but ive tried to show in general the dangers versus rewards.

    Last time I checked, doing reactions is only good for changing high volume material into lower volume product. But on its own, ISK - wise only few reactions make sense. Same with PI. For certain chains it is better to sell P1 material and just buy T2 or T3 than make it yourself. The price fluctuates so it may change in time however before proceeding always check the prices and third sites.

      If you look at the cost versus sale price of the component line to build a battle ship, the highest profit margin is in making the components for the trigger units. E.g. buying and building a nester last week had a 200mil profit (a little lower now) but making the Neurolink Enhancers for the trigger unit and buying every other component adds 150 mil to the profit. If you mine the gas as well that becomes400 mil profit though it takes longer

    for the ease of stress and whatnot, the best PI extraction time is 4day and 3 hours this is the longest you can heve it at 1hour cycles.
    but it is actually significantly better if you reset extraction anyway every day.. just takes like a second .. open - stop - start - close ;)

    • @michaelwilliams3232
      @michaelwilliams3232 6 місяців тому

      Doing it daily is such a pain in the ass, I'll take onboard your comments. Thanks.

    • @nullx8
      @nullx8 6 місяців тому +1

      @@michaelwilliams3232 oh you not "have to" doing a daily reset of the extractors will however significanlty increase your extraction output.
      just set them at 4days and 3 hours (this is the longest time you can set while maintaining a 1hour cycle, so your resetting doesnt create alarge loss).. then you have 4 days to do it, and it's not a big issue if you miss one or two.

      @@nullx8 thanks for info'. Already converted. I've also found that with raw materials in short supply I can't run 3 factories continuously with 10 heads, e.g. non CS and noble metals. However, I can run another extraction head linked to a launchpad, with 7 more heads giving a boost to production and maybe 4 factories running. Fly safe o/

    • @nullx8
      @nullx8 6 місяців тому

      @@michaelwilliams3232 yes always link everything to the launchpad and distribute from there, this makes it ALOT less click-drama when you change somethings ;)
      for the factories you need 4 basic to run 2 advanced (and so on) and to feed the basics you need 3k per cycle so 6k per hour and i you feed two meaning you need to get to over 12k on average. that will be enough to run 2 basics which will feed one side of the two advanced then after, just have enough heads to provide a bit more of what you need, so you never really going to have a storage or power problem. unless you do just extract and Tier 1 then its of corse maxing out the extractors at all cost :)

    • @aloneinfinland
      @aloneinfinland  6 місяців тому

      i usually end up with over full containers regardless, but i cycle 2 days because of the efficency and usually it takes 4 days to process what ive mined, so even missing a few days it dosent change the output rate.

      Look for an LS NPC station with industry. For example Oulley has 2 such stations one jump to empire. Use the map function under Activities and start surveying local systems.

    • @aloneinfinland
      @aloneinfinland  6 місяців тому

      i get your point, but if you dont do it in a structure you dont own then your risk is billions. and given this structure has been here for a few years, and the one in tama for the same lengthe they are as close to safe as you can get. If you did it in your own and got rolled by an allience its even more loss. As with all of eve, its risk versus reward.

    This is not a "new" player thing, stop being disingenuous, reactions is beyond 99.9% new players.

    • @aloneinfinland
      @aloneinfinland  6 місяців тому

      Thanks for the comment but i dont think your on the money here. Reactions is an alpha available skill that can be trained to lvl 1 in 15 minutes and costs 1 million. Sure a lot of people don't do it, which is why ist the most profitable section of manufacturing, but that isint the same as not being a new player activity. As shown it also has some of the highest regular profit margins in the game outside of pve, and because its a profit based increase, not an expected amount over time(like missioning abyssal or complex running) its growth could be exponential. If you look at every faction ship, they require these components. Buying a nestor BP, buying the materials, building and selling nets you 60-70 mil after costs and tax, most faction battleships and battlecrusers have that margin, however if you do the reactions from gas to make the trigger units, your profit is over 200 mil per ship.
